Hello Adam and thanks for this new nugget. What's your advice for managing colors with Kadence theme combined to Elementor Pro ? I understand that if we use Kadence Color palettes and then want to use these color while building our pages, we should check 'Disable default colors' on Elementor settings and avoid using specific color with Elementor Widget. Am I right ? And if I am, I don't feel like it's the best way to go. Thanks for any feed back from you or any other people, include Kadence's.
Could you please add Import Export Customization Settings if possible? I want to use this theme on multiple blogs and manually customising appearnce on every blog would be a bit too tedious :P Everything else about this theme is perfect :) This is just too good, i will definitely use it on every blog that i own :)
I am about to build my first site following your videos. With Kadence being so customisable would I gain any benefits by using Elementor too, or how would the two work best together? I hope making a site is as easy as you make it look.
This was a wonderful tutorial! I am NOT new to WP, but I know only enough to be "dangerous" and to find things still a little daunting. I am currently planning to put a very OLD, HTML-based website into WordPress, and I have been finding it very difficult to find a theme that would accommodate the type of content that the old site has. When I say old, I mean REALLY old, early HTML. Most of the current themes present information in a completely different way, so I'm having to totally rethink the site architecture. Challenging! But this theme looks like it might just be very accommodating and "simple" to work through it all and create a much more modern version of the information. I saw here in the comments that you have a Facebook page, so I have asked to join that page. But I thought I might ask a question here in hopes I can get a basic reply from you. With a previous WordPress site I created, I learned too late that I should have created a Child Theme of the theme I used, due to all the modifications that I had to make to get the design I wanted (adding widgets and other types of code modifications -- I had help with the coding). Then I discovered that when it was time to update the theme, the site "broke" and my layouts were blown apart. We didn't keep good records of the code changes we made, so it became very dangerous to update the theme. So the site has been plugging along just fine without the theme ever being updated.... for YEARS. It's okay, because the site and the community around it aren't very active anymore. So my question is: Am I correct in assuming that I can probably make just about any kind of modifications I might want to make in my new website with the Kadence theme without having to create a Child Theme? (I still haven't learned how to do that... I just know WHY it should sometimes be done.) It would be awesome to not have to deal with that. When I'm told that there is an update to the Kadence theme, will all my choices that you've demonstrated in this video that can be done stay INTACT so that I can safely make the update? One other quick question: For my new site, I am giving serious consideration to using the wpDataTables plugin, which needs to be purchased. Can you tell me if wpDataTables is compatible with the Kadence theme? Thank you, I look forward to your reply!
Adam, WOW! on two counts, one the Kadence WP free theme and two on your run through of the options! Wow! Great video. Any chance on a run through of how to modify the "Shopping" starter template for an Amazon affiliate site? Thanks
Theme has good abilities when it comes to header and footers. But it fells short in 1 area, maybe it's a bug. When we setup a blog post archive to show on homepage the thumbnails of the featured images of posts, are loaded of full size on the homepage instead of small thumbnail size which causes slow homepage load if someone has a blog website.
Does Kadence Theme work with LifterLMS and Elementor perfectly ? Also, A doubt beside the video; Do you have any suggestions for community platform video ? Thanks in Advance
Hi Adam! I'm a huge fan but with all due respect, I'm a little disoriented right now having listened to you preach the Astra/Elementor combo for months. My hope is that you'll stick with Kadence moving forward. And moreover, I hope that you'll consider making a 'how-to' video mini-series devoted specifically to the Kadence theme's native functionality, Elementor theme edits, etc... breaking it all into bite-sized 'learning' chucks. WordPress settings are overwhelming enough for those with less than average experience like me. So having a full understanding of the Kadence theme in conjunction with Elementor (and even Envato page templates) would simply be amazing. As a matter of fact, if I knew you could make this happen, I'd be requesting your affiliate link to the premium version of Kadence. Note: If the Kadence team doesn't have an affiliate program yet, I dare to speculate that you could help them set one up with no problem. If so, just let me know and I'll hold off on buying a premium membership until your affiliate link is ready. Thanks for listening!
Well all I can say is new models come out, technology changes, things get better and easier. Would you prefer me to not talk about better products that are easier to use? I am not advocating for people to change their theme, but if you are making a new website or you are wanting to update your website, then its time to look at themes. If you are a happy Astra user, I think you should stay the course.
@@WPCrafter Thank you for your reply. Actually, you started on Kadence just before I got started with Astra. So, I'm pretty happy about that. I just want to let you know that if you're going to focus on Kadence for a time, I plan on learning all that I can.
Hey Adam, Congratulations. You produce great material. I would greatly appreciate it if you could clarify the following matters that will add transparency for your audience: Is this a totally free Theme? or is it a Free-Trial offering for paid versions. If this is a Free-Trial offering, Is there also a totally free option at the end of the trial? Also, please provide the name of the Theme and Not only a download link. If there is a reason as to why a Theme Name is not available, please explain. Looking forward to your kind reply. All the best
It's totally free, not a trial or anything like that. I even mentioned in the video that it will be in the WordPress theme directory, but it take 6 months to be approved. All themes there are free. Also I have said, probably 50 times in the video, its named the Kadence Theme. It also lists the name after you install it on your website. And no the CIA didn't kill Jimmy Hoffa :-)
Hey Adam. LOL. The information is appreciated. I am happy to see that Not only are you very good at what you do; you also have a Funny Bone. Good to hear back from you. I will see you here soon. All the best.
Hi Adam! I watch your videos a lot. You are a wealth of knowledge! Question... Is there any way to add a second call to action button to the free Kadence theme header? Thanks!
Thanks for your presentation! I am experimenting with Gutenberg page editor in lieu of Elementor Pro. Are there any differences between the two when using the Kadence theme?
Like the video, what I don't see is how to save out template pages? So if you wanted to apply a template page to a new page creation with different template elements inline on the new page?
Sir i have been designing website using joomla and artisteer since last 7 years and i have a temptation to design full width website... recently i got the opportunity to learn WP. I tried Astra, ocean WP, since they are premium theme, i was not satisfied with their free version. But to my good fortune, just yesterday i saw your this tutorial and got a treasure, thank you so much sir for this tutorial. Today i have mastered almost all feature of this theme but i am facing difficulty in designing drop down menu with a vertical v like pointer pointing towards the parent item and while editing the individual page i am not getting page setting button as it is shown in your tutorial, i am using the free version of Kadence theme. Please help me in this regard. Thanks a lot n lot.
Subscribed. Can I have 4 images in the home page below the top menu? My client offers several services and I would like an image of each service that links to the page for more information about each service.
SO, you cant do full page nav menu, side nav menu with just this and WordPress? If not that's what I would like to see is more versatility with headers, nav menu options. My goal is using the least plugins as possible
Great video, very insightful. Forgive me for asking, why Elementor? We currently use Elementor and wish to bin it, your video uses this why? Is it for all the other functions that come with this or just to access templates? We are trying to work out if Kadence on its own with Toolset will work well enough that we need no other themes, like Elementor :)
Am planning to use Kadence + Elementor for my gaming daily news website. Advertisement flexibility, reviews and single post flexibility (like different post looks for each category). Is that recommend to use these two? Should I go pro for both or try put free first and upgrade later. Thanks for the great content btw, it really helpful! Subscribed!
Greetings, I switch to the Kadence theme, everthing works fine. The problem is that when I return to word-press after editing in Elementor, my secondary colors turn GREY on the menu pointer and in the header taglines as well. Thanks....great job.
Yes Adam. I was looking for some opinion vs other popular themes you've suggested. Like a quick pros cons. You mention speed in the title too but didn't hear anything about that. Great looking theme though.
Hi there, I am new and was not clear on why it was important to install Evanto and Elementor in addition to Kadence Is there a video you can please point me to so that I may understand why Elementor and Evantor were needed?
Downloaded the theme and loving it. One quick question, is there a way to work on my WP website offline? I'm not able to find good info about this, and hope there is a way to work offline. Thanks & love your channel.
Hi, great tutorial video!. I'm having a problem getting the page title background to work, I've tried displaying image, gradient and colour and none of them seem to work. Any ideas?
Hey Adam, Love your content! I'm starting my first WP site and have been doing lots of reading (and watched hours of your videos). About to break ground and move from wire-framing to WP. 2 Questions I wanted to get your thoughts on: 1) How does Kadence compare to GeneratePress? I'm looking for something light-weight, and have watched other videos of yours recommending Tom's GP theme. Have your thoughts about GP changed since Kadence? 2) My current plan was to leverage GP and Elementor Pro to design my site. But after seeing your videos on Gutenberg and messing around with it for a few moments, it seems that Gutenberg would offer better performance due to its "native" characteristic. I have extensive HTML/CSS knowledge, but elementary JS experience, and 0 React knowledge. Do you have recommendations for individuals w/ different levels of coding experience on which avenue to take to build their website? I think this would make a very neat video idea :). Thanks again for all your content. Loving it.
Kadence theme is just as lightweight as GeneratePress, near-identical. Yes, the Kadence Theme is more feature-rich. Also you can totally build the entire website, lighter and faster, using Gutenberg. I would recommend adding the free Kadence Blocks plugins which adds some of the foundational items you will need like rows, columns, advanced headings, etc. It even has copy/paste styles on some of it's blocks.
Fantastic presentation Adam. I've already started using the Kadence theme after your presentation on several sites. I just wanted to know if it's possible to import a theme demo template from a previous theme that I was using such as OceanWP?
Nice video, am struggling to wither use go daddy or Wordpress to build my website, please what do you advice and if using Wordpress what theme do you suggest as l am only using it for services, booking and client can book via payment
Hi sir.. greetings.. hope u r fine.. your video reviews are extremely balanced and highly helpful . I have a question. Is Kadence compatible with Motopress hotel booking plugin. Hoping response. Regards Mustafa
Fantastic video. Clear and concise. I have a question though: I have been using this to create a blog but I want a two-column boxed blog whereas Kadence is by default a three-column one. I guess that is something that cannot be changed. Thanks again for the great videos.
Hi Adam, thanks for the instructional video. I have chosen to go with Kadence because of it, and I am using Elementor (Free version). When I make an edit for 'Mobile', it changes everything in 'Desktop' as well. I am not able to separate the two when it comes to editing. Also, while I prepare to 'Edit With Elementor', I see that there is a 'Mobile' icon on top of a 'Desktop' icon on the bottom of where all the widgets are for Elementor... I hope you can help me out, thanks again.
Amazing videoo, Thxxx a million. Please can you suggest about another version of Kadene i.e Virtue. Its from the same Kadene company . Please can you tell which one is better ,I mean in Kadence and Virtue if I want to use free version..Thanks
Hi Adam, You know, I think, that I really like you a lot and often follow your advices... I even finally (few months ago) decided to jump on HappyThemes (that I had previously decided to put aside) because you told us that you would be working with them and that they had great things coming... I'm still waiting for those great things and so far this is one of my biggest regret: I can't believe how expensive it is for the few things it brings... It's biggest attribute is the copy/paste between sites... well there are at least two other Elementor addons that does that as well... Also, lately it seems you're either running after everything or constantly changing your mind... That you find a better theme than Astra, well, it's possible (though you praised it for so long...), but not so long ago, you decided to rebuild your site with another theme that was supposedly better, at least for a training site... and now it seems that Kadence will be your goto theme for every site... Okay, I can accept that... What I don't understand is that not long ago, you stated that themes were dead (based on what we can do with Elementor Pro), and now it seems that you encourage everyone to go to Kadence... Considering that there are some people that follow you religiously and follow all your advices, no wonder why they are confused and now wonder if they should change all their sites from Astra to Kadence... Again, you know I like you and follow you, and I know you like to be challenged... hence why I speak aloud... but you might want to consider a little more the big titles you're using, considering some people religiously follow you, like I said...
I did a test and switched quickly from my old OceanWp to Kadence as of 29/04/2020 to see the speed on google insight and the result: no big difference!! I think that since there is a commision behind this theme the level of honest reviews drops dramatically
@@chrisdove3377 As much as I admire Adam I agree on the commission question. No reply regarding lack of 'child theme' concerns so deleting Kadence and going back to Astra Pro/Elementor Pro combo.
Great video, but it would be really nice for a full walkthrough. For beginners, to see you already created Categories (for your blog posts), it's confusing. Is there a special place you do that? Or are those categories somehow linked to your Blog Posts? If so, how? We didn't see any of that either. Likewise creating Pages. The pages added to the Primary menu - were they created and then they automatically show up in the "Pages" section of the Menus Items (on the Menu page) or did you create those somewhere else? It's all very confusing from the get-go and would be so much easier if there weren't bits you created prior to pressing record on the video, as it would allow us to know exactly what's going on. Other than that, good job- another of your videos convinced me to drop Astra (and get my money back) and use Kadnece instead.

This is awesome!!! I love you videos. You are so precise and straight to the point. Stay safe!
Nice video! Keep it up!
Thank you.
Thanks
Yes I am working on an avalanche of full length tutorials for Kadence.
Great review Adam!
Check out todays update. I think it addressed that. Maybe you reported it?
@@WPCrafter Did they? Yes I did report it yesterday and they said that they will fix the issue soon. Let me check.
@@WPCrafter Well the update didn't address that, so maybe soon in the next update
I'm sure they will get corrected soon. I have reported a couple of things to them and they have been very responsive in my experience.
Gave thumbs up because this is AMAZING! I'm a big fan.
How do you change the text on the front page....(Themes look good, but how do you change images and text without deleting it)
I know the team for years and used to be one if their members. They are very reliable and affordable
Hey buddy, good to hear from you.
@@WPCrafter Hey Adam. Glad to see you back too :)
your doing great job. thank you very much.
Does Kadence Theme work with LifterLMS and Elementor perfectly ?
Also, A doubt beside the video;
Do you have any suggestions for community platform video ?
Thanks in Advance
Yep.
@@designdiscounters I will be sticking with Kadence 100% this year and next.
@@WPCrafter ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Adam,
Congratulations. You produce great material.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could clarify the following matters that will add transparency for your audience:
Is this a totally free Theme? or is it a Free-Trial offering for paid versions.
Great video Adam! how fast is Kadence vs Astra ?
Kacence is lighter then Astra
So helpful - very much appreciated!
Hi Adam! I watch your videos a lot. You are a wealth of knowledge!
Question... Is there any way to add a second call to action button to the free Kadence theme header? Thanks!
Very helpful thank you! Can you please also help how to setup category wise posts layout on the home page?
Thanks for your presentation! I am experimenting with Gutenberg page editor in lieu of Elementor Pro. Are there any differences between the two when using the Kadence theme?
David.. did you ever get a reply?
@@CeeCeeJames No, I never did. I'm still interested in learning the differences.
Hi! How does this theme compare to OceanWP? Would you choose Kadence over it?
Very useful and easy since it is very nicely explained. It's like making rocket science into no brainer. Thanks a lot.
Downloaded the theme and loving it. One quick question, is there a way to work on my WP website offline? I'm not able to find good info about this, and hope there is a way to work offline. Thanks & love your channel.
Yes, you can install WordPress on your local computer. ua-cam.com/video/7pISvhK4Iys/v-deo.html
Hi, great tutorial video!. I'm having a problem getting the page title background to work, I've tried displaying image, gradient and colour and none of them seem to work. Any ideas?
Awesome video, I'm using Elementor with Kadence 👍
Hey Adam,
Love your content!
I'm starting my first WP site and have been doing lots of reading (and watched hours of your videos). About to break ground and move from wire-framing to WP.
2 Questions I wanted to get your thoughts on:
1) How does Kadence compare to GeneratePress?
How does Kadence compare to the recent Astra Pro ?
Great infomation!!! Thanks
Fantastic presentation Adam. I've already started using the Kadence theme after your presentation on several sites. I just wanted to know if it's possible to import a theme demo template from a previous theme that I was using such as OceanWP?
Really thank you Sir, for bringing new updates. You are always nice. I want you to explain bit slowly. Yours from India.
Nice video, am struggling to wither use go daddy or Wordpress to build my website, please what do you advice and if using Wordpress what theme do you suggest as l am only using it for services, booking and client can book via payment
Hello and thank you for this presentation. Is it compatible with Elementor ? No issues ?
Works better than any theme with Elementor. There is a new feature coming for adding global colors. Great stuff.
Hi sir.. greetings.. hope u r fine.. your video reviews are extremely balanced and highly helpful . I have a question. Is Kadence compatible with Motopress hotel booking plugin. Hoping response.
Regards
Mustafa
I’ve already setup Kadence. How do you change “content” on the Kadence template?
Fantastic video. Clear and concise. I have a question though: I have been using this to create a blog but I want a two-column boxed blog whereas Kadence is by default a three-column one. I guess that is something that cannot be changed. Thanks again for the great videos.
Please ask them, and I will too, to add column options. facebook.com/groups/webcreatorcommunity/
@@WPCrafter Thanks a lot for pointing to their FB group. I have posted it. Let's see what they say.
Hello Adam. Please let me know if this theme has a Reset function.
Val
Amazing videoo, Thxxx a million. Please can you suggest about another version of Kadene i.e Virtue. Its from the same Kadene company . Please can you tell which one is better ,I mean in Kadence and Virtue if I want to use free version..Thanks
Hi Adam,
You know, I think, that I really like you a lot and often follow your advices...
