My favorite dub album of all time, I have an LP hanging on my wall in honor. You have Prince Jammy (a.k.a. acoustic Jammy) at his peak, fucking around with an 8-bit style synthesizer. He was right on the verge of going digital, but he still had the house band tearing it up through a Tubby's style console. Jaihouse original followed by the dub is a powerful showcase

Exactly. Overton Brown is Scientist, a thoroughly decent guy (I've had contact with him) and extremely talented dub producer and engineer (an engineer in the true sense). His life work has been stolen by Greensleeves, Jammy, a couple of others (incl. Linval Thompson) and Rockstar Games, a company that added insult to injury by compounding the theft of the music and tying it to untoward, vicious, lewd and criminal themes in their games. It's important that people know this.

@@davidmarr6241I talked to the scientist recently and there are a few albums of his that have Jammy’s name on them but jammy never contributed. He told me the reason was because Linval Thompson wanted a marketing gimmick. Same goes for a lot of other dub albums

Having read a lot of contradictory versions of what this is can somebody say :who produced this?:where was it recorded & when ?:who played on it & who mixed it &when was it mixed? To my ears it sounds like early 80s Negus roots- Roots radics possibly but mixed or partially remixed later on ?
on the records they said; produced&mixed by P Jammy at king tubby's. recorded at channel 1. roots radics band. my vinyl is from 1982 on greensleeves

Jammy was producing & mixing lps like 'Uhuru in dub' ,J Osbourne dub' ,'Kamikazi dub' etc around this time so it may be exactly what it claims to be ....also Greensleeves were quite a reputable company I felt ,though its strange that in the middle of the '6 related Scientist lps ' issued between 1980-82 (the first one with Jammy) that they gave this a title virtually the same as Scientists masterpiece from the previous year ' Scientist meets the Space Invaders' ..?..
