@@AwesomeUSMovies I got a question for you.Would you be interested in reacting to a cartoon series called? Total drama island and a movie called Axel. Both are very good to watch
The actor playing the diabetic is Mykelti Williamson. You know him better as Forrest Gump's army buddy who talked nothing but shrimp, Bubba! He's not wearing the mouth prosthetic that caused his lower lip to jut out.
Danny Trejo (Johnny 23) is actually one of the nicest people u will ever meet and from what ive heard, he never takes a bad guy roll unless the bad guy loses or dies, cause he never wants to portray bad guys as winners. He also runs a small taco franchise in CA called Trejos Tacos! Great reaction!!!
Danny worked as a consultant on a prison movie with Eric Roberts (Runaway Train), and Eric (and fellow ex-con turned actor Ed Bunker) helped Danny get in front of a camera because he was really impressed with the way Danny talked about his time inside and coached the actors playing inmates.
He’s one I’d love to see a documentary about his life. Everything I’ve read about him is amazing and how great of a role model he could be for those that feel they’re stuck in a gang.
Loved the reaction as always. The destruction on the Vegas strip was done with practical effects. The Hard Rock was rebranding the guitar logo at the time so they allowed the movie to destroy it, and they also crashed the plane into the Sands as it was scheduled for demolition so again they agreed to let the movie have some fun first. Also the corvette in the front of the sands was brand new off the lot they bought it just to destroy it to add some symmetry of destroying the 67 roadster and the brand new version.
The actor playing the "hillbilly" who flies the plane is M.C. Gainey, a really talented character actor who is GREAT at playing villains. His best role (imo) is as Tom Friendly on Lost, which is a show that I think you would appreciate (if it hasn't been suggested already, I'm sure it has, it has a pretty dedicated fandom). He often plays these type of backwoods characters, but Tom is a horse of an entirely different color (he was one of my favorites on Lost).
James, DEA Agent Duncan was played by Colm Meaney who played Miles O'Brian on Star Trek: Next Generation. Also John Malkovich was great in "Rounders". You should watch "Rounders". It also stars Matt Damon and Ed Norton,,who I know you like.
Loved this movie one of my first Nicolas cage movies. I have another suggestion for you it was popular but got forgotten quickly it's called phenomenon(1996)
Great movie. Nick Cage has allot of great movies like The Rock, Face Off, Snake Eyes, National Treasure movies (Which you saw the first one), The Sorcerer Apprentice and 8mm (A very shocking movie) . Other plane action movies are Passenger 57, Executive Decision and Flight Plan
Fun reaction James this is a really fun movie you have to let go of all of reality ha ha ha thanks for a good time. You really made me laugh. You should check out Gone in 60 seconds that movie is a fun ride as well Nicolas Cage at his finest. 😁👏🏻
The guy whose car was hit by a falling body was Don Davis. You saw him in A League of Their Own, but he's one of those actors who show up all over the place, especially on TV
Sirus the Virus is John Malkoich...... from movies like RED, RED 2, Danerous Liaisons, The Man In The Iron MAsk, In The Line Of Fire, Burn After Reading, Empire Of The Sun, Making Mr Right, Shadow Of A Vampire, Mary Reilly, and Jonah Hex...
There was no freeway thru vegas back then (early/mid 90s), the strip was just an offramp. I stayed at the Hacienda back in the day and then came back the next year, it was gone and stayed at the Luxor only a couple years old at the time.
I live in Las Vegas and watched this with a local crowd and everyone in the theater was laughing at the final crash on the "Strip" that also hit Downtown Fremont Street at the same time!
Correction. The attack choppers could easily catch up with the small plane. I think those are supposed to be Apache’s or cobras.i think modern Appache’s can go 225mph but yeah the con air jet is easily cruising at 400-500 I think
The fun thing about Steve Buscemi in this is hes supposed to be the worst of all of them, like Hannibal, too dangerous to let out of the most secure restraints. But if you notice, he literally does NOTHING, the entire movie. Think about it. He doesn't hurt the girl, and he doesn't even lift a finger to help the other convicts ir fight anyone. He literally just sits back and observes the chaos. Lol. Ive always been amused at that. Almost makes himself likeable.
While he shows no remorse, I do wonder if some of his rehabilitation stuck, as Garland seems very self aware of his impulses but chooses not to act on them.
19:25 The cruising speed of a small prop plane is around 120 knots (nautical miles per hour) while a modern Apache has a maximum speed approaching 150 knots, depending on the configuration. That Apache is only going to be able to stay airborne 2.5 hours to the Cessna's 4, but it's doable.
The choppers also take off from a different airbase and would have an easier time intercepting than chasing, which is why they pop up ahead of the Cesna.
The plane crash involving musicians in Iowa was the Day the Music Died, long before the plane crash that killed the band members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. That band died in a plane crash on October 20, 1977, when a Convair [very close to being Con-Air] CV-240 passenger aircraft near Gillsburg, Mississippi.
I always thought this movie was written by a bunch of guys challenging each other to see how many explosions they could put in one movie lol. But its just so entertaining like you said, I think the over-the-top works because its a movie that gives the impression that its not taking itself too seriously.

Love your reactions thank you. you were thinking of the Buddy Holly/Big Bopper crash The Day the Music died crash. the band playing on the plane was Lynyrd Skynyrd. They also died in a plane crash, well some of them. That was in Mississippi
This is such a fun movie. Being John Malkovich is another one where Malkovich and Cusack work together again. I like it a lot. Don S. Davis plays the husband in the car that 8 Ball lands on. I don't expect many outside a specific fandom to know who he is; he was on Stargate SG-1. Which leads me to suggest the movie Stargate.
Yes. That plane crash happened in February 1959. Lynyrd Skynyrd did "Sweet Home Alabama" - the song they're dancing to on the plane. The LS plane crashed October 20, 1977 near Gillsburg, Mississippi killing 3 band members, along with 3 others.
Lynyrd skynyrd is is the band that died in this instance, they were flying from Greenville, South Carolina, to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.. buddy holly and co. Was traveling from clearlake, IA to fargo/moorhead to play a show in moorhead, mn... it's referred to as "the day the music died" and is what don mclean wrote the song "American pie" about... im sure you know all this tho
So Benny the jet was the stunt coordinator for the movie. And he would keep Dany Trejo and John Cusack away from the other actors during breaks and lunch. When Dany asked why Benny told them it was because those guys were just actors pretending to be tough guys and John and Danny were guys that could actually fight for real. He didn't want one of the actors to try something dumb with Dany or John and end up with Danny and John hurting one of them.
Something about Hollywood I hate is the way they treat silencers, they don't actually make a gun silent, like 70-80% of the sound of a gunshot is actually the projectile breaking the sound barrier
A little late to the party here, and I have no idea what was on the poll, but for a 'prison break' movie, *The Great Escape* (heavily fictionalized version of a real WWII POW escape) is a MUST watch.

As for your question about insulin, no I don't think swallowing would work. However, the movie is pretty wrong about diabetes. Missing one dose of insulin would not likely endanger your life. You can go around with high blood sugar for quite a while and slowly damage your body but it takes SUPER high to put you into a life threatening scenario. Nit likely to happen from missing one dose. Ive had patients on my unit refuse insulin and have blood sugars nearing 400 and didn't even feel sick. High blood sugar takes a long time to kill. LOW blood sugar (say a diabetic takes their insulin but doesn't eat , or spends all day chopping wood) is much more of a medical emergency. It can quickly kill if low enough. The Movie Panic Room is more realistic in that sense. (Though the "watch thing") was just a dream when it was made. Hoid movie if you havent seen it.
When I spoke about pts who refused insulin, i did NOT mean one dose, i meant refusing multiple doses. In the hospital where I work, we check diabetics blood sugar before each meal and before bed. Then if it's over 150 they get a dose if fast acting insulin based on how high it is. Occasionally we have a patient who declines insulin, multiple times in a row. They don't keel over in us. We've even had pts whos sugar was too high for the machine to read, which we do take very seriously and get insulin ASAP, but even they don't keel over in a couple hours lol
The typical military cargo prop cruises at over 400 mph, while top speeds of helicopters are under 300 mph. A helicopter might be quicker, win in a sprint, maybe.
Diabetic here, unfortunately, no, you can’t ingest insulin and absorb it, it doesn’t absorb in the digestive tract, it would simply be broken down, it’s already ready to be absorbed so it has to be injected subcutaneously, there have been times I was without syringes and wished to God I could just swallow the stuff (and let me tell you, insulin reeks horribly 😂)
No knife on the scene (a lot of people miss the knife being taken) and no witnesses who aren't involved with the dead guy means self-defense goes out the window for manslaughter.
Regardless of where any of us are politically or socially, I think it's safe to say that we ALL appreciate how kind and accepting the prisoners were to their trans associate. They were ahead of their time!
Even Poe, who slaps Sally instead of punching her. Respectful violence 😅 Renoli Santiago nails the role, doing a varation of his Phantom Phreak voice from Hackers, just turned to 11.
You are wrong about the plane crash referred to. The crash you are talking about is the one on Feb 3rd, 1959 that took Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper.
