7 months ago i dont know if you still need the answer. I think you can only upload and download your character and items etc. in "server groups" so server that are connected with each other. You can see some server that have the same name but are on different maps. If you could travel between completly different server, you could just cheat on one server where you can cheat, and then transfer it to another server with completly different settings. Then you have a unfair advantage.
@@yydione my join with survivor butten is greyed out and when i do transfer it gives me a new character and the other one knocks out at the ob(this happens on my own cluster on ps4)
@@yubi9223 I dont know if it is different on ps4 but you can only travel between official server and server that a "related" with each other I think. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me
I setup a Cluster for my Own Server and followed a step by step tutorial for it, The Problem is that after i choose my spawn location it forces me to make a new Charakter, I have the right Cluster ID, I disabled NO Dowload and Upload settings and have splitted SaveFolders for each Map, do you have any Clue why im forced to make a new Survivor?
So how do you get your character transfered to another ARK using the obelisks? as when i try to join my other cluster, it asks me to spawn with survivor but then changes it so i have to create a new character :-/
Unless they recently changed it, you can transfer with items in your inventory as well, but certain things (any type of Element) are on a blacklist and it will give you an error when you try to transfer.
So lets use aberration as an example.... so if I were to transfer aberration how do I save on that server cuz I tried going to a different server and I couldn't find the server I transferred to

Hey, sorry I've been spotty about responding to the Ark stuff because I've been on a year~ break from Ark, but unless they have changed anything with how the cloud system works, that's exactly what we used to do, so you upload, change maps, and then go to an obelisk and your items/tames should remain inside the cloud regardless of the map change (since it's still the same Save folder)

Yep this is possible , as long as the outside server allows you to download items, dinos and players. Id have to look at the gameusersettings list but there's an ini line in there to allow outside downloads
Yes it does still tick down, you have to still have someone (either the owner or a tribe member) come into range of a structure or tame to reset the time
Reconnect to the server you were joining, your character SHOULD already be downloaded off the first server and trying to reconnect to the server you were leaving will likely show a "create new survivor" screen. If you connect to the destination server and it doesn't ask you where you spawn, check to see if you have the option to "download survivor" on that server.

It would have to be a multi-player server that allows transfers from outside servers, this is generally really rare because of cheating but if you know the owner or that person is you then you CAN do that the server simply needs to allow Ark data and survivor transfers

I've been trying to setup a cluster server with to maps and I've got them set up but everytime I try to spawn into my bed it spawns me in a random location I haven't been able to actually spawn into the bed that I made once I entered the other server any suggestions

So you can transfer with armor and hotbar items but nothing in the inventory?
Unless they recently changed it, you can transfer with items in your inventory as well, but certain things (any type of Element) are on a blacklist and it will give you an error when you try to transfer.

What happen if you got disconnected while you joining the new server?

You need to have a second server. You CAN change the map on the one server but it doesn't work exactly the same as transferring.
