This has to be the single strongest comeback of any old school band I can think of. Fast, driving, hard as fuck classic thrash. They sound even better to me at 51 than they did when I was 18 and listening to eternal nightmare. Love it.
Lol.this is generic. Lot of great comeback albums but this EP is not one of them. Heathen ,Destruction,Possesed, Morbid Saint, Sadus, Exumer...those bands had great comebacks . This one ,meh They didn't last for a long either.

I think Vio-Lence is the best preserved 80's thrash band of all, they haven't lost anything, Sean sounds as good as in the old records and Perry is still killing it on drums. Unreal

New boys Bobby G (Overkill) and Christian Wolbers (Fear Factory) are a welcome surprise. This is certainly a resurrection for Mr Sean Killian (probably the coolest surname I've ever heard!) who survived stage 4 congenital liver cirrhosis with a transplant.
Let's be honest: that Machine Head Split was the best thing that could happen for the Thrash-World. Vio-Lence producing a kickass EP, while bringing Bobby Gustafson back into the game, Sacred Reich got Dave McClain back and also released a great Comeback-Album and Machine Head is still alive touring with Vogg from Decapitated. A Win-Win-Win-Win Situation haha :D (hopefully it doesnt slow down Decapitated though.....)
All I can say as a young guy from Fort Bragg California I remember seeing violence at the Omni Oakland California back in 1989 and 90 they were the best live band I’ve ever seen during the thrash era in the Bay Area the best live to see.

Robb Flynn may be a douche but he isn’t a joke of a musician. He’s an exceptional rhythm guitarist. He co-wrote Chalice of Blood by Forbidden for god’s sake. Pretty sure that awesome main riff was written by him. Definitely sounds like a Flynn riff, and it’s difficult like one of his riffs.
Can someone tell me what Jackson guitar Phil is playing? it looks to me like a Kelly but the tip looks like an Ibanez Iceman that Paul would play in KISS. unless its part of the X series.
I've been hoping that part would grow on me but it just hasn't. Absolutely love the rest of the song but I feel it could do without that quiet/talking section
