Thank you for posting this video! It is great to see Adam performing. I used to work at Hughes Music Exchange on Buford highway back in the mid-1980s. Gene and Adam were good friends and Adam would come and hang out the store fairly frequently. He brought in I believe it was a 1957 Ampeg Mercury Model M-12 combo amp, if my memory serves me, to sell on consignment. He pulled one of the guitars we had to sell off the wall to demonstrate it for us (a 1959 Gibson ES-125 with soap bar pickups, I think) and played a couple of songs through it. The amp was in mint condition and I remember as the tubes warmed up how awesome it sounded: clean, warm, pure. I wanted to buy it but I was only 16 at the time and could not swing it. Great memories! Adam if you read this, thank you for being so patient with me, asking all of those annoying questions about guitars, gear and the music business!
Are there going to be additional "annual concerts"? Vern was my Dad's cousin and if I remember correctly Vern's mother played piano at East Bethel Baptist where my uncle, William Lee Smith, was pastor. My family would love to come.
Adam I’ve always loved Vern. Just discovered you. You have an amazing voice.
Adam that is great. You are added to my favorite list.
Family harmony stands true. I can just see Vern and hear that butter, especially in the gospel song

Very nice song, and job on it.
