This album was the friend of many love nights when i was 17yers old. My First emotions with the First girlfriend. I Remember This sound with my full love and pleasure. Wonderful times. Buddha in my soul. Love in my soul.
I used to listen to this album in 2000, i was 10 years old I had it on CD, didn't understand how great it was until today, 2021. Wow

Im from Poland, where people listen to rock or blues. I felt like I was born in a wrong place. I visited India, Dharamsala in 2003 and I heard Buddha Bar in one shop. I realised I was at home.
Me and my sister are talking about the samething just now. The oldest sister used to listen it on CD and I was just like “eeeww”. But now it is total different story.

Il primo Buddha bar a cui sono seguiti tutti gli altri. Assolutamente fantastici. Claude è l anima.
I have always been a fan of Buddha Bar, and still am, but I am sorry to say they don't make them as good as these ones anymore...something has been lost...
I think the reason is 'Clause Challe' the concept creator, the Man behind it sold the brand name to someone. He made a huge mistake in my opinion. They knew how big it's gonna be but he unfortunately didn't. He said in an interview how he didn't anticipate this huge success and took the money. I wouldn't say he got scammed but he was a genius artist more than anything. I personally felt he regret it but what happened happened. I'll never forget meeting 'The Man' in Dubai after a party there.. he was the sweetest most humble guy ever. After someone told him I came by bus for maybe 10 hours from Saudi Arabia just for him, he insisted i sit on his own table after the party.. what a beautiful human being. A whole music genre created by him and every body tried to copy after that. Much love to The Man.. Claude

I started the Buddha Bar Journey with this. Still go back in time when I play this.
The first time I heard this album was in 2004 while living in Munich. I was working in a boutique in Schwabing and the owner had this amazing collection of CD’s. It was winter and sometimes in the evenings I would return to the shop, burn a candle without any other lights, observe some of the passerby’s and listen to this particular Buddha Bar. The song Straight to the Heart reminded me of young Tibetan boy monks chanting. For years I tried to find the CD and because the actual CD’s were in the wrong jackets, I kept looking for BB#5, until earlier this year I came upon it again. It was Magic because I was experiencing some challenging times and when I found it, Voila, the energy shifted in my Aura!
The photos of Croatia are absolutely beautiful appearing Magical and Surreal! 🧙♀️. On one of the CD’s I also discovered the singer Natasha Atlas and also sought that particular BB.

This is by far my favourite Buddah Bar album. I lost the original I bought and now just hearing it again. Yes. Life was just so perfectly wonderful when I think back & see my life when first listening to these haunting beautiful melodies. Fabulous album. Thank you for posting! ❤️

J''étais hyper noctambule à l'époque. Je connaissais toutes les musiques et lieux tendance ! Ce restaurant était un très bel endroit près des Champs-Elysées. Craig Armstrong faisait partie de la vague Trip Hop aux côtés de Massive Attack et Portishead, par exemple. Quelle que soit l'époque, il est important de se focaliser sur l'essentiel.

This is one of the best. I bought it with "Party" on a trip to Paris in 1999 . I have great memories of the 3 story record shop off the Champs-Élysées!

Craig Armstrong's Weather Storm is the only track that brings me here time and time again. In fact, if my memory serves me correctly is when I first heard it that turned me on to chill lounge music in the late 90s. Someone below noted that the early chillout lounge was uniquely revolutionary and best, and I agree for this genre has been diluted to dull monotonous clones.
