Hi, Nice video. Brings back memories. When I was 12 (1972) I used to take the Fokker F27 from Kota Kinabalu (on Malaysian Airways) to the OLD airport! Then they built the NEW airport and Royal Brunei Airlines started up too. That was also around the time when - get this - COLOR TV was brought into Brunei. We used to go to the swimming pool (that's now in the shadow of the big stadium) and, literally spend all day there! The top board was for topless bathing. Muara, Panaga, aaah, memories.
I made this landing on a Singapore Airlines Boeing 777 a few months ago. Same weather conditions. But the touch down at Brunei was magical as I have lived their for 5 years in my childhood and it was the first time I got back there since. Gotta love Brunei!!
Oh yeah. I flew Royal Brunei Airlines quite often in the time I lived there. I always enjoyed Royal Brunei. Quality airline. Back then at least, wouldn't know how they are doing now. I heard they were having some financial problems, but as far as I know Brunei doesn't have to worry about finances! :)
I had a good experience with Royal Brunei (from Singapore). I especially miss the food they serve .. the rice, mushroom and chicken gravy. Although I had a delay of about an hour or so, on the way to Brisbane, and that we were kept uninformed about why it was delayed (although all the passengers are seated), I didn't mind because we were calmed down by the steward(esses)s. I had an excellent stewardess down my aisle, meeting passengers' demands with prompt.
cool vid i fly on royal brunei on every flight i go on and now im a royal sky's member it's so fun in first class because the seet's are gold not real gold just look's gold
No this is actually Royal Brunei's B767-300ER featuring the older Economy Class. Normall the older B763ER, would operate for flight to SYD. The B763ER's wif the new Business and Economy class would be a common sight for flights to LHR and FRA. But the airline wishes to extend the new Business and Economy class on all B763ERs..
nope tis is Royal Brunei's older version of the B767-300ER.. They use the B763ER for flights like SYD and such.. There is a B763ER with newer Economy and Business class and tat would be a common sight for flights to LHR and FRA..
I've lived in Brunei...good place...very peaceful though.i mean, i wanted to go clubbing and stuff...the only place that rocks is "jerudong park". Anyways, I miss Brunei... TT
Flew this airline from Auckland to London stopped over in Brunei for 3 hours then onto Dubai for 30muns then thru to London only downside the airport at Brunei is a bit of a hole other than that service on the airline was excellent
@blazej1 well youve got some utube commenting to do .. funny how many utube vids on here and 0 crashes from any "electrical" devices not appliances its not a bloody washing machine or toaster lame O
