Prince Mustafa’s kidnapping shocks everyone at the palace. Ahmed tries to convince Anastasia to his love however Anastasia wants to escape from the palace. Ahmed decides to execute Mustafa. A battle of power begins between Ahmed and Safiye. Will Ahmed accept Mustafa’s killing? How will Safiye challenge her grandson? What kind of threat will Ahmed face?
Anastasia is surprised after seeing Ahmed as she thought he was fat and ugly. She’s angry at Ahmed because he’s the one responsible for her kidnapping and her only goal is to escape the palace and return home. News of Halime Sultana escaping with Prince Mustafa shocks everyone..
Mustafa must be found before the enemy captures him. This escape ends with a surprise move
from someone.. Ahmed is about to give orders for Mustafa’s execution.

This is more emotional and painful to watch than sultan suleiman and hurrem. Really cried when they almost executed mustafa! I hope the mom and Sofia will leave ahmed alone as a ruler and not manipulate mustafa to take over😢
Suleiman sultan ordered to execute even his 3 year-old grandson, Bayazid's youngest son. It was not included in the series Mag Century, though happened in real history.
I think it was hinted at in Magnificent Century.? Here I am getting drawn into another compelling Turkish series and even feeling inspired to go to Turkey ...!

I'm from India and even though there are so wrong unhealthy things were part of history be it of any country but still Turkish history fasinates me.
I think there are things about the histories of most places that is sick and wrong. I think it’s important to know about it and to understand why it happened as well as the consequences so it never happens again.

Safiye Sultan became prince Murad, son of Sultan Selim I, concubine. She was of Albanian origin and her story is quiet similar to Hurrem and Kossem. Same as the rest.

Also there is a reason for princes being killed. As long as even one brother stays alive the Sultan can never be too sure about his own life. Just look at what happened after the law was abandoned 1603-1648 6 rules, 5 sultans all in 2 generations. 2 were killed, one was mad and 2 just got unlucky and fell sick before they reached 30. Chaos

See that right there you made a mistake you should have watched the whole thing through and not skip parts because there's a lot that goes on the parts that you skip and it plays out I can't even say because I'll ruin it. When you get the chance just watch it again just don't skip anything trust me you're going to need to watch every bit of it. Also it's just a TV show no one really gets hurt no one really dies 🙂

Sultan Ahmed's actor is so handsome
What sick law dictates you kill your own brother???? Why can't the law say only the chosen brother can be king like it is in Africa? All their lives are doomed. Hirem wants mercy for her son but when the king gave it she started plotting to dethrone him. I don't feel sorry for her but only little Mustafa. In African monarchy system, only a chosen brother can be king whom is usually the eldest son. Everyone already knows and accepts this thus there's never any bad blood or killings.
They were very different times. Of course it seems cruel to us in the 21st century but back then there was a serious risk of insurrection should surviving brothers of the sultan wish to claim the throne. This was not uncommon and often they would manage to garner an enormous following of supporters. It would mean a major war of succession every single time a new sultan is crowned. The alternative is incredibly cruel and heartless, but eliminating your rivals is an important thing for a new ruler. Executing his brothers was often the very first thing a sultan did when he ascended the throne. This series does a poor job of properly demonstrating the relationships between brothers. In reality they likely never even knew each other, let alone had any sort of brotherly relationship. They would have been raised separately and barely interacted, and when they were teenagers they'd be sent with their mother's to govern a province. When the sultan died, whichever prince was able to return to the capital first would be declared sultan.
Well every country has different laws and keep in mind this was back during the 15th century I don't think they still do that now. 🙂

Good dramaticisation (60 episodes). More interesting for being based on true events. Shame there are only a lot of palace shenanigans... but no council of ministers or any governement conducted at all?!? Makes the politics of dissent and factions shallower than it could be.
