    Masking is pretty much the only capability I've been looking for that Sony Vegas has but LumaFusion doesn't. So this is really helpful and I can finally get back to making YTP with this workaround.

    Thank you for this. I’m a professional videographer and use LumaFusion because of its speed of use and quick touch screen capabilities for editing. If your footage is professional and you “shoot for the edit” you can get amazing results with Luma. Subscribed.

    My issue with Lumafusion is when I stretch video or any other type of clip to match audio, is there a shortcut to stretch and automatically match the stopping point

    One thing I noticed, the app always seems to start bugging anytime I play with the speed of a clip.
    So if you dunno why the app is crashing, or doing random things like freezing, sounds disappearing from clips, that could be the problem.

    Is it possible to do a masking transition if the object is a consistently shaped object like a pillar? I’m trying to make a holiday video and want to use a fish swimming across the screen as the transition. It momentarily fills the whole screen but not throughout the whole clip.

    Nice video! First that came to my mind was the order of actions with the blur effect. Isn’t this better/easier to apply to the green boxes?

      Hey you could do this, however it seemed to fail on me a couple of times doing it that way around, let me know though!

      De Wereldreizigers ... LF does not have a very strong key feature yet so you will most likely have trouble keying a blurred edge or any sort of translucency. So far, sharp edges get the best results.

    Didn’t get the Gaussian bit you should mark out where your pressing can be quite confusing

    Is there anyways we can have these transition as presets ? I saw someone’s video about Adobe premiere they have tons of just one click presets that will give you amazing transitions which can’t find in lumafusion .. tbh for a hobbyist this too much effort to edit just one clip.

    For some reason, it is difficult to find a video on how to make Fade-In and Fade-Out effects at the very beginning and very end of the video (I mean the effect for video, not for audio). And how you can customize the duration of these effects.

    Subscribed your channel, and love your videos. However for transition effects, personally I think MovieSpirit is better than Lumafusion, MovieSpirit has more 3D transition effects and more professional masking tools. You can have a try on it and I'm sure you'll like it. It's an app very easy-to-use and has many powerful editing functions. It's not free, but only costs$9.9 as one time purchase, and you can overlay as many layers as you need, just like on PR.

    Can’t find “Green screen Key!”. The new update calls it Chroma Key, that is the one you are looking for.

      Hey Nanda I don't think it can run on an iPad Mini as that is quite an old model. It wull work on more modern ones.

    In this video, the new transition on the right of the column, gets smaller as the video progresses. Is it possible to do the same but the new transition area gets larger. For example, as a door opens and gradually reveals a mask of the ocean say?

    BTW luma fusion has a TERRIBLE way of masking, fcpx is much easier

      Editors Keys Perhaps something like the one featured by RobHK, but his tutorial was not narrated and a bit too fast for me to follow. Tea, those stock built-in transition effects are way too basic and limited, but love those zoom in-out blur transition 👍💪

    It’s not working for me I followed all the steps and re did it 5 times, I get to the end I save it and then add the saved one bring delete the other ones, then bring in the clip of the video I want playing but nothing, all the green is still there and I just cannot figure out why

    I stated using LumaFusion recently but I have never used Final Cut Pro or adobe premiere. Do these software have these transition with one click? Or they need to be designed and adjusted like LumaFusion? Don’t get me wrong, I really like LumaFusion and it makes easy to edit your videos professionally but I am just carious.

      Hey Abdullah, yes Final Cut has transitions you can just drag onto a clip and they will work straight away. (this should be the same for Lumafusion though)

      Hey Yael, at the moment this isn't an available option so you have to do it this way, I can imagine it will come soon.

    I keep seeing videos posted on Tik Tok where someone is standing in front of a mirror and their reflection is doing something different. It’s two video clips that’s playing at the same time. Is there a way to use masking inside of LF to achieve that effect?

      It’s the same as this video only you’ll need to use color shapes (any color, not just green) to fill the mirror in every frame ... could be quite the process!
      Or ... cover the mirror with a solid color during filming?
