- Ready to count how many time I stall?!
Noob car chick here! As promised I made a video recording myself learning to drive manual on my 36 year old 280zx!
I tried to show my failures and my successes just like I said I would in my first video! If you haven't seen it yet... be sure to check it out! It had a lot of important background information in it!

You enjoy your channel so far than most because you have the biggest smile the whole time.
I think that's honestly good for never having driven manual before. I've seen a lot worse.
Rip to the clutch 😂
It was brand new too
Doesn’t hurt the clutch though
Think of clutch like brake-pads. The clutch burns when subjected to heavy amounts of friction. It takes a good bit to start burning it though and once it starts to burn, if you let off it, and let it cool down you can save it with very minimal wear. Just watch out for accelerating while you have the clutch pedal engaged, and you'll be fine. You'll usually smell it too. Stalling out the car and mis-shifting won't have too much of an effect on the clutch (if any), repeated shock could potentially damage the drive-line/transmission at higher rates of speed, but that will probably rarely happen too. (anything above 30). Usually stalling happens at lower rates of speed so you should be good - especially with your co-pilot around. Not many people get first gear that quickly too, so maybe that's a sign you'll do well!
I AM SO FREAKING PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!
Honestly, that was a hell of a good start to learning! Looking forward to seeing more and more from you!
I legit stalled my car 6 times on a hill beside my neighbors house as he watched me from his porch 😅
jackson kitchens didn’t you do hill starts on your test?😂
@@r.davis0239 in America you don't have to learn driving in a manual, you can just learn in an automatic
The best part is that the jerking from a bad timed shift isn’t actually the clutch making the car jerk. It’s the engine quickly shooting to where the RPMs are at. So even if you do it, you’re truly not hurting anything.
Amateur Stang Guys I literally thought I broke it the first time I stalled :( lol
SenCity I believe it. I had to teach myself stick shift when I got my Mustang dropped off in town. At first I thought I was gonna blow my car up, but caught on almost instantly. There’s a funny story behind that though. You seemed to get it very easily though. 1st and 2nd are always everyone’s biggest fears at first.
LOL, now you use a floor jack! I have a feeling he just likes seeing you struggle.
I remember first working on my car. Watching this bring great memories. Enjoy the process Sarah
D Opal that’s honestly what I was hoping for!
I started on bmx bikes i got cars now but man all cars are the same until you get past fuel & spark then its failed sensor or injectors
Keep doing what you’re doing and can’t wait to see your process with this project.
Don’t stop your videos i love it❤️❤️
LOOOL Aaron with the football commentary killed me hahaha
Live the dream Sarah! Thanks for bringing us on your journey!
The cheeze when you started doing it well! Love it!! I’m still way too scared to learn 😅😅😅
The homie @Chrisfix wouldn't let your pretty hands get dirty. Nor would he let you potentially hurt yourself with the way you took off that tire. Sweet ride. 🔥
I didn’t hurt myself? 😂😂 I did a great job, by myself, and I had fun doing it. I think that’s all that matters (:
@@SenCityOfficial please don't put your back into it next time. That's not good for you just ask Chris.
Charlie Gomez put my back into what? Taking it off? I work out four days a week. I know to lift with my legs when necessary and not use your back. I am okay(: . Thanks for your concern though!
Charlie Gomez I also don’t need anybody to “not let my hands get dirty” I want my hands dirty. That’s why I made this channel. So I can learn and do the work myself. Please refer to my first video for background info. Thanks!
@@SenCityOfficial @1:00 I wouldn't consider it safe. Neither @ 2:00.
You’re a champ! So proud of you for learning stick!
It's so cute to see you learning new things about cars 😍👍
Keep it up 🖤
Great job Sarah! And another good video!
Great job @sen.cityy!!!
I learned barefoot in an 87 wrangler. My buddy teaching me had driven stick only twice before lol
Another great video Sen :)
Wow you did amazing in my eyes 😉👍🏽
Love all this raw footage and your so funny and cute I just can’t 😘
I’m actually excited for this build series/ learning experience
That was some serious progress! Really happy for you to learn how to drive a manual. Looking forward to see your future videos cause you're so damn cute 😭
Loved this lol! So cute! Also wish I had thought to record when I learned how to drive manual!
You did really good for your first time!!! Its hard at first but then it becomes second nature!! ❤️❤️ love you beautiful!
Let’s gooo! Excited to see this channel grow🙌🏽🔥
So, honestly unless you didn't include a lot of learning, you did really well for your first time driving stick. It took me a month before I could drive my 350z without stalling at least once. Starting off is always the hardest part of driving stick.
I always understood the concept and mechanics behind stick so i pretty much knew what i had to do when i was first gonna learn and i didnt stall once. Then a few months later my sis asked my to move her car up our driveway that is a big hill.her car was a 94 civic with a super loose clutch. After the first time i stalled i kept forgeting to put the car in gear and i kept rolling back and just revving.
LNZ33 honestly there was an hour worth of footage to sort through. But also honestly most of it was explaining and arguing and almost crying. I included every stall for the day and all of my mistakes. I didn’t include everytime that i got it right because I couldn’t have a 30 minutes video lol. But lots and lots of explaining and talking and pouting on my end 😂😂
@@SenCityOfficial subtle flex
I’m excited to see how your videos progress. I can see them getting really good and a lot of potential out of you. Not bad at all for first time driving stick.
Not bad for trying to properly learn to drive stick.
My first time driving stick my buddy threw me in his Miata said push the clutch in and figure it out. Needless to say I ended up accidentally doing a 1st to 3rd gear burnout in his yard.
Another one?
Watch this woman become more famous than Pewdiepie 😳
Keep it up, love your passion you put into it 😄
Mr. Agera thank you! I’m enjoying the process a lot!
SenCity that’s all that matters
You’re happy, the fans are happy 🥰
Oh and the Z is happy too (once you learn to handle it properly xD)
I love the new whip!
Your learning quite well👍👍
Lol reminds me of the first time driving a Subaru wrx, so mainly the hardest part for me was getting out of first gear even on hills and I overcame that problem by finding the biting point on the clutch then give just hair of gas and ride the clutch slowly, simple as that.
You're doing great !!!!! Keep it up !!!! Nice first attempt. 10:13 you're so cute 😍

Trevor Jones LMAOOO RIPPPPP
Great job not bad at all only going to get better from here on out , burn out 🤣🤣🤣 for your birthday good luck !!
Picked it up waaaaaaaaaaaaay faster than most people do.
LOL this is true reactions to learning this stuff and its amazing "i feel like im gonna break it" :D
“I think I broke it” hahaha girl I said the sameeeeee thingggg!
You did good for the first time girlfriend!
The first time I drove manual was on a drift course not long ago and I had no experience at all, but I was fortunate enough to be driving a new BRZ so that made it a lil easier. However it was a 380 hp drift car🤣
As I always say practice makes persistence. (Btw good job on learning to drive manual👍)
Great video Sarah! Keep it up! :D
Thank you 🥰
Looking forwards to more banging videos
Lmao! This video had me laughing so hard. You're hilarious Sarah.
Your way better the first time then me I stalled my husband's car so many times 😂
so gorgeous in pictures and super cute in motion
I wish I was there in person, this was an amusing one
Damn my first time was awful. My other tried teaching me but she was sooo bad. You did pretty well your firs try time tbh but props to your teach too
That z is in good shape
Love your car
thank you! me too ((:
Sarah you kill me 😂😂
Sarah you always bleed brakes starting with the wheel farthest from the brake fluid cylinder. Then move to the closer ones. So your Z you should start with the RR then move to the LR then the RF and finally the a LF.
sobeh20 thanks for the tip! I didn’t know that! We were actually only doing the front brakes. And that did not end up being the issue anyway! Thanks (:
@@SenCityOfficial looked like you started at the left front kinda backwards but your new at this. Not sure if your friend explained it to you but air in the brake lines is why the brakes feel spongy. Bleed your rear brakes and maybe put clean fluid in them. Brake fluid attracts water and that's no good.
So cute!
ahhhh cutest thing ever
I'd love to learn how to drive manual 👌🏼
Well done Sarah!!! You are so damn cute!!!
Senfityy!!
Once you learn teach me pls! I’ve been wanting to learn for a while. I tried learning when I was 14-15 in my dads S-10 and now he doesn’t have it.
Better than me on my first try😅😅
I'm about to start on a 82 280zx
I watched this instead of doing my final ap world I definitely think I made the right choice
Simp.
@@miguelfragoso7023 yes sir
Overall do you like shifting over automatic? Personally I own a stick and love the control it provides. It seems like you have more control of the car once you know how to use it.
When you bleed brakes they're supposed to start with the one furtherest away from the master cylinder and work your way to the closest one to the master cylinder
dcrs51 it wasn’t the brake lines that were the problem anyway. It’s the brake boot behind the pedal. But thanks for the input 😬😊
The back breaks if they are drums they could just be out of Adjustment I'm sure they are supposed to be self adjusting but old car lol good idea to check I have a 1961 ford falcon and I have to adjust my drum brakes every once and a while because the Brake pedal will get a little spongy or squishy
Y u gotta post during school hours 😭
I’m sorry:( watch whenever you get home 😊💜
SenCity nahhhhh im watching this B right now 🤣💥💥
Taught my girlfriend how to drive manual in my s197. Did pretty well for a hour session. Bought her a s550 and sure enough; HUGE MISTAKE. Now shes forced to drive the s197 to work until shes earned her way to her car.
Granny shifting, not double clutchin like you should. @SenCity
Honestly I don’t even know what “double clutching” means. But if you watched even the first minute of the video you would know that I was learning
@@SenCityOfficial Its a quote from fast and the furious 👀⛽
Nevin Young ooooohhhh I suck 😂 I’ve only seen a couple of them. Which one is it from?!
@@SenCityOfficial I sent you the 2 min clip on IG 😂👍🏻
nice Z 🚓🏎
Hey, just wondering if you’re thinking about adding some items to your store or restocking the current ones? Thank you!
XDSniperKingXD I am allll sold out of everything except one air freshener and one koozie for now :( I’ll have a full restock in 2020(:
👌🏼
💙💙💙💙
Every time I try to teach my girlfriend to drive my car she gets too scared and won't try. I might show her this video to show her it isn't all that bad and she'd learn quicker than she thinks! Can't wait for the next video!
Ben Dooley show and let her know it’s okay to fail sometimes (: practice makes perfect!
❤😍❤😍❤😍
فديت الزد ياشيخ 💜💜💜😂🔥.
would like to see cat videos or u driving ur car with ur cat XD
I have a 78 280z that needs a lot of work
I know it's been two months but if you're still confused on how to drive manual, the channel, the smoking tire has really easy to follow videos; here is part 1 of the series: ua-cam.com/video/waeOibnmuJk/v-deo.html
Bts for shoots!
Learning manual for the first time in a modern car can be difficult when all you’ve driven is an automatic, never mind learning in a 36 year old car! I’ve always driven manual, and trying to drive an automatic felt uncomfortable as you’re in an habit of looking for the clutch.
If seen arons rx-7
I learned stick on a 1980 Foxbody drag car. Oops
That is awesome! 😂
Wow, old Z! marry me

Not bad btw 😂
I WAS LEARNING ahhahah! I'll get better! thank you!
