I'm currently in the process of reading Sakamoto Days and I'm on Chapter 51 just after a relatively major series of fights. It's quickly become one of my favorite manga series ever, and I plan to read Kagurabachi next. Despite how the guy talks about the series in this video about it being lighthearted, low stakes and whatnot, don't let that fool you. It still has plenty of good, likable characters and villains, an interesting enough plot that you want to keep up with, great art and character designs(I cannot express this enough the character designs are amazing} and really good, creative fights. It also gives the side characters and supporting characters plenty of time for their own fights and stories rather than the protagonist fighting all the bad guys. It also absolutely oozes the coolness factor much of the time. The stylized action and blood give it just enough of an edge to feel badass when it needs to be without being overly gorey or gratuitous. Definitely recommend it. Not overly complex but excels in enough ways that it is extremely enjoyable.
Can u please make some type-moon content it’s the strongest franchise in anime with their base abilities giving them immeasurable speed. & my power scaling playlist has all the proof we need, my essay playlist also proves it has the best written characters in anime especially in the girl aspect.(which some shonen struggle cough* Naruto) Like generic anime channel’s shirou vid, it’s billion$ budget & ufotable come together to give us peak animation of any year they drop or period. It’s also the lotr of anime with lore on lore & galore.
The description of my power scaling playlist also shows how much influence it’s had on anime. On some dbz type shit except it’s niche asf so we have a handicap
I read both Dandadan and Sakamoto Days back to back recently. While I enjoyed Dandadan, I prefered Sakamoto Days. Dandadan lacked a central plot and story structure, so it hurts it in the long run. Individual arcs can be great, but it lacks the incentive for me to read more. In contrast, Sakamoto Days has clear story structure from the get go. Every important piece of the story is introduced early on. While it started off slow, the story has clear direction and leaving you wanting more. At the end of the day though, both series are more style over substance. You aren't going to get the deepest storyline or message out of this.
Finally sakamoto days is going mainstream 🎉🎉🎉🎉
you not slick sneaking in overflow at 0:34 tizzy 🤣
