@@monicastylemuse Tbh, I have went back and forth with Ulta to find this right shade and we wear similar ones. The last swatch I did in-store was Tan 78 and it looked perfect but they sold out near me right now. lol Try the tan 78 and see if that shade is better. Anything before that was either orangey or too light for me. Blessings!

So after reading a few comments I’m now going to do this again with my original technique which was mixing both shades lol although I don’t think this looks too light I can see the undertone may come across a bit off. FIRST OF ALL THAT COVERAGE THO!!!People saying in comments that its too light But you're literally matching the skin tone of the rest of your body I think sometimes people forget about that That's why its said to not only use your hand/wrist Use your chest or your collarbone(especially if you suffer any hyperpigmemtation on your face) It's more of a precise color match when getting New Foundation cream or liquid
I wouldn't say is to light as it just has more of a orange undertone Don't worry girl I have the same issue

I tried ur same technique... I had to cream contour to tone mine down; my kvd was too light... I had tan 60 and it was too light. I bought 2 shades in case Tan 60 was too dark.. their shade matcher is off online, jmo.. I wish it worked for me bc of the coverage but she is headed bk.
Using the 1 shade looks too light but you made it work. I think the mix on your hand was the one

You should definitely try a different color. I don't think you should mix, just go with the darker shade and embrace the melanin, most of your foundation choices are all a tad too light. Macai, 420 are too light.
