The take away is that all people want the same things, a meaningful life consisting of someone to love, something to do and something to hope for. Thanks Carl
Thank you so very much for showing us the working folks in China & Nepal. It’s really touching and Heartwarming to see the reality lives of these folks, Carl. 👍🏼🙂🙏🙏🙏 I am (黃子強)
I like that he seems genuinely interested in her as a person and they laugh and have fun. I hope their love and sense of whimsy lasts as long as possible
they may not be rich, but their lives are wholesome. they don't live in a depressing environment on the decline, drugs, SA, domestic abuse, every third uncle is "inappropriate"...
It’s nice to see this. A more honest life then the obnoxiousness that comes along with money and status. As China grows more powerful I hope the young remember the sacrifice of the old for it is they that made it great.
Very nice; really enjoyed watching this one. My brother married and Nepali woman here in the US; they also did the traditional Nepali wedding ceremony. Very interesting how they communicate to each other in a combination of 3 languages - English, Nepali and Chinese!!! Please followup on their story for us. I am curious to know when he buys his own truck.
Very interesting wedding Hindu style he found him a beautiful wife live long and prosper to this couple thanks for their vlog a day in the life of a trucker, she riding shotgun. I hope they have some children. Louisville, KY USA
You can just tell he is in love with🥰 Wonderful to witness the beginnings of a new life as it should be. China has done well by her people. Life is doable… some of us, the life is a tough slog with little to no upward mobility.
Thank you for this heartwarming story. It reminds us of coming to the US in two suitcases and a few hundred dollars to attend university in the US. And then build a life and family. Best wishes to this young couple. I think they will do well because they are willing to try together.
What a great life , even making a little over ten an hour they have more access to healthy food and living . We could not live like them here making 30 an hour , I believe. So amazing :)
Thanks for sharing Carl. ... BTW, when I was in Athens, I met a couple whom I admire since I was a student. They said they know you, or maybe they are your fans. So, we have mutual friends. Each summer I visit Bali and then visit Athens. 2 weeks in Bali, 4 weeks in Athens (Greece). The first time I visited Bali was in 1989 or something. It was quiet and beautiful. Now, ... him still beautiful, but too many cars, too many tourists.
You should have find it before their marriage, so I could have make a gift to them. It's so nice to see young people that much eager to make it in between their possibilities.
@puzzled012 it's closer to 21% of the total population than 33%. And I will stick to my statement as 84% of Rednote users live in Tier 1 + 2 cities with the remainder spread in T3, 4, 5 cities. I don't believe this data is obsolete as it's from June 2024.
Bro, Chinese Women are looking for white European or American Men and right opposite Men are looking for south Asian Women. It’s interesting 2 watch🤩 Bro how about next episode of the series, plz !!
Do you upload stuff or talks you do on chinese history here? your silk steel stuff? i wanted to find out about the history or if there is a kinship between the vietnamese.... i have no idea... i just get mixed messages from some vietnamese.... that they hated the chinese, but in actual fact according to my mum the chinese helped the vietnamese? well i studied architecture with a vietnamese.... and she said something casually.... like glad your not mainland chinese!? this was yrs ago too.... and it just stuck with me... i was born in the uk, but parents from HK..... i never considered myself not chinese so it just confused me what beef she had with the chinese!!?? she didnt have anything with me she was cool she was just anecdotally telling me anecdotal beef LOL between vietnamese and the chinese i tried to clarify this up with my mum... my mum said HK helped take in tons of vietnamese back in the day, vietnames just being ungrateful... the Chinese actually helped vietnam... and i know lots of vietnamese chinese as well that are cool and consider themselves brothers or chinese brothers...
China and Vietnam had over 1000 years of History. The Qin empire conquered Vietnam and try to colonise VN by introducing Chinese customs, language and religion. You can say a lot of what Vietnam is today is because of China's influence, just like what a lot of Colonial powers have done presently. The Vietnamese has just never adopted complete Chinese customs to assimilate with China. So you can say China and Vietnam has a 1000 year love hate relationship. China is like the authotarian big brother who think he knows best and Vietnam us the independent younger brother who is rebellious and want their own life.
China did attack Vietnam in 1979 after Vietnam invaded Cambodia. China fought alongside Vietnam during Vietnam War to repel the American force. For whatever reason, they seem to have some beef with China, but appear to be ok with America. Aside from that, Vietnam was once part of China and still have territorial dispute. They rather have Japan build their HSR than China, which is cheaper and faster.
@@CharonTFM Vietnam did adopt the custom and writing. They changed the writing to alphabet later on. Surprisingly for a small country, Vietnam is very diverse.
US likes to divide and conquer. If you're a friend of China, you're an enemy of US. US funds lots of antichina groups in Vietnam and spread fake news -just like they were doing in HK.
That guy with his wife whining about the dust. I mean geez. And he just couldn't stop talking. About nothing. His wife was ok but how she will put up with this guy for the next 20 years..
omg, what are you showing us, a Chinese trucker or conman? (how come trucker can speak English lol) Parents not invited, 2000 Yuan to marry, "come on, baby, let's go, let's go marry haha Anyway, most importantly, please treat her well, she deserves true love and better life in China.
The Chinese man is just an ordinary trucker who probably picked up a little English during basic school and along the way. Young ppl sometimes jump into marriage this way. U know a bit of Hasty and on the spot while in love. One of my ex boss got married going through a car drive-through which is not that common for a Chinese person. but it's a thing in the US.
Talking about English. To my surprise as well. Alot of countries in Asia teach English even though it's not their main Language but I find Chinese speak better or slightly more English than Koreans or even Japanese who are supposed to be even more adopted to western culture, western influence or the English language. After years of observing I find the average Chinese person does better with English than other non English speaking countries. Maybe the letters to li hua paid off? Lol
This is heartwarming stuff. Normal people living their lives striving. Wishing this couple loads of happiness. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it

So glad!
I found this video interesting for its portrayal of a " typical/average" working class couple. Thanks for posting it Carl.
As a nepali Thanku carl showing our cultur married♥️♥️...
Among all the fake lifestyles on social media this is refreshing! Wow eating out so cheap, in Australia you can easily pay $60-$80

Fascinating to learn about real life working class at work in rural China ; Thank you Carl :)
👍👍👍❤
Good content, it's more balanced to display the rest of China, than just how a higher socio economic bracket lives on Red Note.
1/3 or more of total population is on Red Note, they are hardly Ritchie Ritch if there is so much of them...

Maybe you can do one about Pang Dong Lai supermarket which is phenomena to occur in China's business landscape.
Cute and without the pretend drama of American reality tv shows
Nice to see ordinary Chinese not in the top 10% category ...
They also do not have the burden of some 15,000 which would be the minimum to do trucking like I that here (US) , as far as I know :)
10/12 hours work and you earn 69 dollar thats really good 😊.
OMG, his apartment building has no elevators and he lives on the 7th floor.
Good for weight lost 😂.
This is a thing where I live in NYC too. It's brutal lol

That woman is gorgeous. Imagine to spend 2000rmb on a wedding for such a woman....in China left over women, past the wall, demand 200000rmb dowry....
Chinese guy looks lost 😂😂😂 but congratulations
Did RedNote run out of content? lol. Interesting both using broken English to communicate.
you don't like this?
@@CarlZha It is an interesting story. As you alluded in the beginning of the vid, you wanted to portray the life the ordinary Chinese.
@@CarlZha Rednote also has many contents about ordinary Chinese life, you just need to dig a little bit about it.
He keeps calling his wife a "he" or "him" haha
In Chinese language there is just 1 gender (neutral) for 3rd person. No he or she... hence the auto translator defaults to "he" or "him".
