Of course, the kit is incredible, but what truly impresses me is how much care and patience you put into every detail. You didn’t rush a single step, and it really shows in the final result. If it were me, I’d probably rush through it, and it wouldn’t look nearly as good!
Man, so many subsystems for different trigger and motor IO. As someone who works around automation and machine tools, this is like Halloween, Christmas, and my birthday in one..
Awesome job on this amazing kit! So much care and attention has gone into the engineering of making this come together. What a time to be alive with all these amazing technologies at the tips of our fingers to make all of our movie collectible dreams come true! Great video and always a pleasure to watch one of your builds!
I applaud your skills. The prop looks beautiful. I get why people weather their models and props, but have always preferred pristine myself. Great job!
Magnificent ! Sooner you will have to get a new house ! Superbe boulot ! Merci pour le partage ! Très inspirant de voir ta passion, ta patience et la qualité irréprochable du résultat ! 😍
Superb model prop project of an iconic movie prop. You did a fantastic work, also enjoy a LOT your presentation and very clear approach during the construction proses.
"Tell you what I do like though; a killer. A dyed-in-the-wool killer. Cold-blooded, clean, methodical, and thorough. Now a real killer, when he picked up the ZF-1, he would have immediately asked about the little red button."
Beautiful! I imagine this is probably much more functional, in terms of moving parts, than the original prop. They probably had several props or part props for the various pop outs. Edit: just checked out the propstore screen used prop, the 'speckling' paint effect is much more on the actual prop. So much more that i doubt it was done by hand with a toothbrush, maybe a modified airbrush? It truly is a gorgeous kit, but for the money I'd expect it to come ready built and painted!
I believe they had multiple variants of the prop but indeed, I don't think they had one functional like this one. I'm still amazed by the engineering involved in the kit. Truly amazing.
The Rocket looked like something out of an ESTES catalog. You could probably miniatuarize an ESTES ignition system to make your rockets "functioning", but I'm sure that would be a BATFE issue, if not just an OSHA one. You could make it a pneumatic launcher with some NERF gun tech or a spare pneumatic solenoid or two from work. 😉
Don't worry about the roughness of your casing parts, it was the "tooth" for your primer coat. Camo colors and weathering hide a lot of modeling sins. That's why I detest car kits. Perfectly smooth gloss colors are my kryptonite. Ain't nobody got time for that...
If you wanted to make the rocket really pop, you could've base-coated it with white primer, then roughed it up a hair with 600 or 800 grit as "tooth" for gloss yellow.
You're truly dedicated to your craft. The amount of money and machine time on the aluminum parts would keep me away from something like this. I'll stick to plastic kits.
The darts and their launchers are the cheapest part. You could smooth out chunks of basket cable tray on a lathe to shape. The racks could be made with Evergreen Styrene or ABS.
Darts and launchers were the hardest part to develop. The darts are CNC turned stainless steel (not aluminium) within a CNC machined aluminium housing. They are designed to run off a single servo, saving power and cost.
@ just saw at a glance some PCB with a micro SD card while I was watching you're video and curious what you use to power it all🥰 I'm in my garage building a full size ABC warrior from JUDGE DREDD at the same time I'm watching your video and I'm running back and forth and rewind you're video in like an hour now so I don't miss anything 😂 for now I'm using esp32 and a sound board in my projects 😁 Just thought it would be easier to ask you then to find the spot in you're videos where you mentioned it😂
@davidtheswedishtechguy The PCB was made custom by Jake. The one who made the kit. Btw, I would really much like to see your ABC warrior. It's on my list! 😁
@DaBuild Sweet, what a time we live in. Almost makes up for being 90 seconds from Midnight on the Doomsday clock. Thanks for getting me through my weekend household chores.
Just super glue on the casing? Don't shock load it by bumping into anything or dropping it. I probably would've went with epoxy just for clumsiness-sake and rigidity.
Please add like 30 more seconds to the end of videos those stupid UA-cam cards covered up the final reveal for many of us can't see anything can't get rid of the cards. Ty!
Unbelievable! Wow that is next level prop building… Adam Savage would be impressed!!
Much appreciated Wayne! It was one hell of a build to make! Cheers!
I'm speechless... this prop is the crowning glory of your collection. Absolutely top class
@@MarkusRitters Markus, I have to agree with this statement. It will be hard to top it. Cheers!

That's nice of you to say but I really enjoyed every single step of this build. It was a really pleasure! Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Your prop collection is the stuff of my dead, buried dreams. Great work. Do what you love till it ends you.
I'm slowly running out of space 😊
@DaBuild I just got my first curio cabinet and it's already half full of kits I made in the last 22 years. Know what you mean.
I like the authentic amount of wear on your anodized parts. Nice touch.
Thanks
The result is estoninish! Very enjoyable to watch! Well done!
Much appreciated Seb! 🙂
The finished prop looks phenomenal.
An idea could be to make a Zorg Industries gun case for it. I think you see those in the movie.
Much appreciated Jamie! I'm really happy :)
And I like the box idea. I just don't think I had the space for it
Well done. Your execution and assembly are top notch. I like the slight weathering to make it live in.
Thanks man! 😊
Man, so many subsystems for different trigger and motor IO. As someone who works around automation and machine tools, this is like Halloween, Christmas, and my birthday in one..
Yeah...Jake is an engineer obviously
Really cool project❤
Merci mon garçon! Merci de m'avoir aidé. Toujours agréable de t'avoir avec moi dans le garage ❤️
Perfect and incredible !👍
Thank you! And thanks for watching. Much appreciated ☺️

Agree all the way! Thanks a bunch!
That anodyzed blue paint is sweet. Almost looks like treated aluminum.
Yes
Wow, this is art!
Cheers!
Excellent job building it with both you/your Son
Thanks! I love to have him around ❤️
@DaBuild No worries +cool Tim Burton A nightmare before christmas T-shirt as well
@bedfordshiremodeller4491 * My favorite! - Zorg
I applaud your skills. The prop looks beautiful. I get why people weather their models and props, but have always preferred pristine myself. Great job!
Thanks! Yeah...I really gave it a good thought before doing it. Both options would have been alright. Cheers!
travail impressionnant et cette technique pour nous faire croire au métal vieilli.... bravo et merci !
Non! Merci a toi de l'avoir regargé et commenté. Très apprécié!
Magnificent ! Sooner you will have to get a new house ! Superbe boulot ! Merci pour le partage ! Très inspirant de voir ta passion, ta patience et la qualité irréprochable du résultat ! 😍
Merci Jp! Toujours un plaisir d'avoir de tes nouvelles! Cheers!
Amazing work! That's one of my favorite movies!
Me too!
Superb model prop project of an iconic movie prop. You did a fantastic work, also enjoy a LOT your presentation and very clear approach during the construction proses.
Thank you very Much Frederico! The editing is a lot of work but I believe well worth it :)
Fantastic build your skills are super cool this channel is going from strength to strength.❤
Much appreciated Karen! Cheers!
Thats sick!
Sick indeed!
"Tell you what I do like though; a killer. A dyed-in-the-wool killer. Cold-blooded, clean, methodical, and thorough. Now a real killer, when he picked up the ZF-1, he would have immediately asked about the little red button."
BOOM! 💥
Awesome!!
Cheers!
Amazing!!!
Thanks! 🙏
I wish I had a friend that could CNC aluminum parts like that.
The link for the kit is in the description
I like how the repeat function made it into the Resistance game series on the Chimera Dart Rifle.
Cheers
Amazing work it great to see all the parts come together to make one hell of a great gun. I am looking forward to seeing what you do next.
Me too! It will be hard to top that! 😂
@DaBuild Indeed, it will be hard to top. Whatever you do next, it will be amazing
Fantastic
Cheers!

Adam Savage needs to see this!
Would be nice :)
The flame thrower..... my favorite.
Oh yeah! 👍
*in awe*
It moves!
Yes it does! 😀
3 Tone Earth camo for the win.
Yes!
The first thing a true killer would've done is press the RED button. Great work.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You're god damn right I did! 😂
Amazing Craftsmanship 👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Much appreciated! 😊
Terrific..
Thank you Gary! Much appreciated! 😊
Those Duplicolor anodized paint markers are sweet. I usually stick to Mr. Color, Tamiya, or AK, but dayum...
It worked well

Probably
Rocket on the original props are Estes Bullpup rockets. I modelled this rocket for the kits.
You should sell one of these to Adam Savage, he loves TFE. He made Gary Oldman a movie grade Zorg rifle as a birthday present years ago.
I saw that! 🤯
Don't worry about the roughness of your casing parts, it was the "tooth" for your primer coat. Camo colors and weathering hide a lot of modeling sins. That's why I detest car kits. Perfectly smooth gloss colors are my kryptonite. Ain't nobody got time for that...
Agree 💯
That's definitely a 12V RC car power pack in that barrel.
Yes sir
Close. It’s a 6V battery. Used in RC or airsoft.
❤the movie and this is a grail of mine to collect when it comes to full-size replicas.
Indeed! Thanks for watching! Cheers 🥳
Cool project. Bummer about the "watch next" cards covering up the final shot.
@@twistedsphere You're totally right...I cannot make it any shorter than 10 seconds. UA-cam...🥲

Muh favrit.
Well said!

It is not my doing. As mentioned in part 1, it's a kit from Jake Eaton in UK
WEATHER IT!
That was my conclusion as well 😁
That PLA came out almost line free. Almost looks like printed resin.
Indeed!
@DaBuild I'm a bit of a resin snob because I like the minimal cleanup on printed resin versus completely retexturing PLA.
YAAAAAS! Bewbewbewbewbewww
🙏
That rocket looks like a nose cone of a Bullpup or a Pershing Estes kit.
Indeed
That’s because it is.
The darts and their launchers are the cheapest part. You could smooth out chunks of basket cable tray on a lathe to shape. The racks could be made with Evergreen Styrene or ABS.
Good enough for me 😁
Darts and launchers were the hardest part to develop. The darts are CNC turned stainless steel (not aluminium) within a CNC machined aluminium housing. They are designed to run off a single servo, saving power and cost.
How about the PM-44 blaster from The Orville?
Could be cool!
That prop is so sweet. I've got diabeetus...
☺️
How cool and easy to you use is the Edding pen for the gold stuff? Probably works only on metal parts?
I was also very impressed. It worked on aluminum but I haven't tried on anything else yet
so cool! love to follow this project : ). what controller is that that you use?
Much appreciated! What do you mean by what controler?
@ just saw at a glance some PCB with a micro SD card while I was watching you're video and curious what you use to power it all🥰 I'm in my garage building a full size ABC warrior from JUDGE DREDD at the same time I'm watching your video and I'm running back and forth and rewind you're video in like an hour now so I don't miss anything 😂 for now I'm using esp32 and a sound board in my projects 😁

Before Mr. Torgue, there was Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg...
😬
What sized metric Allen hardware did you go with? Were those countersinks or regular caps?
M3-M4....and, both.
@DaBuild Looked familiar. They're popular sizes for small machine tooling and electronics.
What output of DC did you use for all the servo motors and LEDs?
No clue 🤣
Output is a 6V battery. Everything is either on 6V or stepped down to 5V.
That's a lot of RC car parts and electronics. Did you get them off Amazon?
Again, kit from Jake
@DaBuild Sweet, what a time we live in. Almost makes up for being 90 seconds from Midnight on the Doomsday clock. Thanks for getting me through my weekend household chores.
Did each dart launcher need it's own 9V power supply?
Nope... everything on the same battery
@DaBuild Well, call me grandpa. The lowest voltage controls I interlock at work are 24V.
Just super glue on the casing? Don't shock load it by bumping into anything or dropping it. I probably would've went with epoxy just for clumsiness-sake and rigidity.
I got a bit lazzy...
How much the whole thing costed? 1000 dollars or more?
A little more. You make check on Jake's site in the description
Shit Dan, cr..ss de belle job…🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Merci Francis! ☺️
