- An Indian heart has given new life to a young woman from Karachi in Pakistan, and her family, after a transplant surgery at Chennai's MGM Healthcare. And that is only half of this remarkable story; the surgeons, and the hospital, performed the procedure free, thanks to the city-based Aishwaryan Trust.

Madras Medical College is one of India's oldest and most prestigious medical school.

My only complain is can’t government nd these big hospitals help our poor countrymen in need there of thousands of people dying cuz of lack of facilities but will provide full fledged service to foreigners. Reason chennai hospitals are filled in patients from western countries, middle east and rich arabs who pay in cash and it's nothing for them. They treated this Pakistani girl free as a return favour for the huge Business they get from foreign countries. The other reason is elite families all have insurance worth 5-50 lakhs and above. So insurance companies pay the expenses. And the poor are left out. But wait. The govt hospitals in TN are good and have great doctors, but equipments may not on par with private hospitals. There are paid wards at, affordable costs. So this is a boon for lower middle class and poor.
MusIims don't donate organs; it's against their religion. A few months ago, cricketer Syed Kirmani pledged to donate his eyes but faced criticism from his community and retracted the decision citing religious beliefs.
But, MusIims can accept organs and they do. They come to India from Pakistan and Bangladesh as there are little Hindus left there to donate organs to them. And we, jinhone duniya ka theka le rakha hai, roll out the red carpet for them.

I’m a cardiologist I have at least 20 patients who need a transplant but they can’t get it due to cost issues. Similarly There are thousands of them. We were never contacted. They never did a transplant for my patient for free, why for her? They just want their and hospitals international reputation, and I strongly condemn this practice.
Similar thing happened during covid times. We didn’t get vaccines rather they were busy exporting.
