I was searching for this song, I'll download it, cuz probably it will be taken off from net again. So sad it is not included on the Hidden Gems Volume 2 on the super ultra deluxe set box coming next june by Demons Records. It would have worked perfectly as a lead single promo for that comming set box.
They have a lot of songs called "demos" that were never released. There's actually many songs that aren't released on albums. That's why "YOU & I" LOL! are unfamiliar with them.
Sometime before or during 2009. It was meant to be for the Ace of Base Redefined album (2009), which, regrettably was never released. However, the album did get the Ace of Base Redefined World Tour (2007 - 2009). Ok, looked it up. The tour began in Russia on November 15, 2007, called Ace Of Base - Redefined! It continued thru 2009. The album was to be 7 new songs and 7 remakes of old hits. A remake of "All That She Wants" featuring Britney Spears with AoB, saw neither release with AoB or herself, but leaked. The Redefined! album and Britney's remake were all shelved by various producers and Jonas' and Ulf's proceeding with two new singers for the 2010 album. During this time, there was a lot of confusion as to whether the group with the two new singers would have a different name or not. There was a lot of confusion in general, but it was all what the producers wanted, which was stupid, because there's no reason Ace of Base couldn't have existed as a trio going forward. The producers seemed fixated on sex appeal. Three of the seven new songs leaked and the other ones aside from The Mask were: "Sparks From A Fire" and "Wish You Were Mine." Though, I like all the new projects, from AoB and Jenny's solo career, it would be great if they could release this missing album and the Britney Spears project!
Jonas and Ulf vs Jenny and her husband Jakob split for a few reasons: -Ulf and Jenny's husband Jakob did not get along. In fact, in the late 2000s Jakob and Jenny pushed for making Jakob the fourth AOB member -Jenny was not getting along with the new girl, I believe the first one was Clara pairing up with Jenny, before Julia later arrived and replaced Jenny -Jenny and Jakob made her solo album without telling Jonas and Ulf -Ulf and Jonas found their new female singers without telling Jenny and Jakob -Jonas esp was getting frustrated that record companies were not offering a new album when they were a trio

There are at least ten remixes of that song in the box. The box is not cheap....and all the songs will be included. And...What about "Dont Ever Say Goodbye?"
@Jan İzmir And "End of this world" too. Because both of them are the demos and the labels rejected them, the quality of the sound it was not good. Anyway, I support you in your idea. It is insane that we bought a CD box which contains a lot of remixes of songs like ETIR, when all of them says hate it.
We fans hate what ETIR did to the band, but love how linn sang this masterfully. Many of us believe Linn would've left the band even if ETIR had never happened, so this way we at least have this song
I love Lins demos but the audio quality is pretty bad and given that Linn her lawyer rejected Claus Cornelius permission to play Lapponia on his own live performances I'm doubtful that AOB could've just included that without offending Linn
Does Linn sing in this song? I think that the verses which starts with "I" is she or both sisters singing together....but I'm not sure. Its sounds like Jenny pretending to be Linn (maybe for being under pressure of the label or the producer of the song). Anyway, WHY IT DOESNT APPEEAR IN ATSW BOX?
