Good video - as always! I ended up making my own turn signals for my Nami Viper as I didn't want to wait until the official ones came out from Michael Sha. Also I thought the original system could be improved upon because I don't like the fact you have to press the button to turn them on then press it again to turn it off. (I noticed that when you tried yours out for the first time on the street that you seemed to forget to turn them off after completing the turn.) The ones I built (using an ESP32 microcontroller) can be programmed to automatically turn off after a timed delay (in my case I've found that six seconds works well for me). On top of that, pressing the other button will immediately switch off the first signal and start the second. This helps considerably in freeing up my 'busyness' when I have to negotiate a roundabout (where I have to signal my intention to go around it then also to leave it). I created a video showing how my ones work. ua-cam.com/video/RhWDRWEMRZI/v-deo.html
thanks for joining us for this ride as well! I think if I held on to my original Nami Burn E, I would've done the same. I was actually trying to source LED strip turn signals that wrapped around the handlebars and would be a line on either side of the tail of the frame. Unfortunately, that stopped once I had to get rid of the scooter. I agree with you, that i wish the signals had a timer but I'll take what I can get for now lol. My other complaint is the button for the turnsignals themselves. They're really difficult to operate with heavier gloves on and that means 4-5 months out of the year, I'm struggling to operate it lol. I'll check out the video once I catch up with the responses on the channel. I'm really behind because work for the last 3 days has been absolutely draining and sometimes I'd even go straight to bed with out eating dinner lol.
thanks for joining me for this ride! Hopefully I'll be able to get to make a video on those soon since the UL Certification restrictions are starting to really take root in NYC. Anything that's not UL Certified will likely not be available in the near future.
Like the turn signal mods, good of Michael to fix you up. I have a set of Lumos 'fireflies' to attach to my City Pro and use as turn signals at front whilst one on my rear backpack to pulse (Red) at night for visability. Beauty about the Firefly is they are removable from scooter to bike back & forth. Setting up is via an App, have a look into them I think you'd find them really handy for your fleet. I plan to swap between my PEV's as I add to my collection.
thanks for joining us for this ride to Brooklyn David! Michael Sha always does a great job supporting his scooters and I appreciate that he makes all the upgrades they develop available to all generations of the scooters. At the end of the day, he could just say that you can only get the upgrades IF you buy the latest and greatest. I'm glad he doesn't subscribe to that approach. I'll look into those turn signals. I'm looking for something for the S73 and I'm pretty open to suggestions.
thanks for watching and welcome to the channel! I like the mirrors in the middle because it keeps them out of harms way. The bars are already wide wide making it difficult to cut through the tight spaces of NYC so anything that makes it longer is a bit of a pain. The position they're in still allows me to see whats behind me and in my peripherals
Great video Ivan 👍🏻 I’m just waiting on my front turn signal lights for my Nami blast max,it has the newest harness so just plug n play when I get them, did u change ur handlebar layout ? As for me your new turn signals are too close together, they would be better way further apart so oncoming traffic can see which way u are going much easier 😁 did u mount the new back light somewhere else or is it still in the new moulded plastic fender ? I reverted back to the old tyre hugger and mounted the backlight part under the foot rest, much more visible and keeps the clean look of the rear fender 👍🏻
thanks for watching the video and welcome back to the comments section! The handlebar layout is pretty much the same, only thing I moved is the +- power button module and I placed it on the bar extender. I wish I could actually widen the turn signals, the only catch is the wiring is quite short so I wasn't able to put it at the ends like I wanted. I also didn't want to mount it on the bar itself because I didn't have space for everything including my camera lol. I also wanted to put it on the kiddiebar but the main harness was too short. As for the new tail light, I got the fender with the mounting bracket. I may put the old one in the front to get the front spray to aim towards the ground instead of up into the air and onto my trousers lol. I'm itching to switch back to the old tire hugger but the new fender is growing on me !
chuck is the man! if it weren't for him we'd have another citibike video lol. Though that Citibike video did quite well, so I may have to revisit that in the future!
thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel Ethan! Personally, I've always liked them down below because it allows be to see whats next to me and behind me better. When they're up top and on the middle, all i see are my arms and shoulders lol. I also can't really mount them on the end because the bars are quite wide and mounting the mirrors at the end makes them even wider. That makes navigating the tight spaces on the commute extremely difficult. I also squat down a bit when when I'm shifting around so this allows for a better view as well. Honestly, it all comes down to preference. As long as you can see and it works for you, that's all that matters!
Thanks for watching! His wolf is alot of fun. I can see why he's held on to it for as long as I've known him! The display came out great, it made it much easier to read in direct sunlight!
No no thank you for putting in the work for the content. Yeah that display shade is a must for those types of display without it you can't see much in direct sun for sure .. I still want a kilma ,had to settle for the mantis due to weight ( apartment stairs fml ) .. fyi idk if you are attending a ride out at sticky rice tomorrow if you are see you there 🤞🏽
thanks for joining us and welcome to the channel! Honestly, most reliable and well built scooters is a bit too broad of a statement for me to help. Compared to when I started riding scooters years ago, we're in a time that most mainstream manufacturers are pretty reliable and pretty well built. You really cant go wrong with Nami, Kaabo, Apollo, and Inmotion. There's an illusion of "lots of options out there", but once you start implementing budget and quality qualifiers you'll see there aren't that many options. I would set a budget and see what you can get in that space: -Get UL Certified Batteries (this will eliminate a ton of manufacturers). Don't cheap out on the thing that could potentially burn your house down and cause fatalities -Make sure its a minimum of IP55 rated if you live in a wet area like i do -Look for speed/ range that you need -find a reputable dealer that will stand behind the product they sell you -finally, make sure you to routine maintenance when you purchase the scooter From there do some research in the forums. Just keep in mind that most of the stuff you'll find in any forum is negative. For some reason, alot of people like to dump all their problems on there instead of sorting it out with the manufacturer. So take what you see there with a grain of salt but its good to see the positive and negative things in there. I hope this helps start you off!
thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel! Honestly, I've never tried that before. I average about 35-40 miles of daily commuting in C mode ( I charge every 4 days and my round trip commute is about 10miles). I would assume you would get closer to the advertised 60 miles if you just stayed in D mode . I wish I had a more conclusive answer to your question but I hope this helps!
thanks for watching! I ordered the turn signals directly from Michael Sha at Nami. I don't see why it wouldn't work because we had to replace the whole harness that runs into the deck through the stem. In my opinion, they've been a great quality of life improvement because vehicles and people respond to me better because I can communicate my intentions with them!
Can you remove the ion batteries to make the EPV's safer to store indoors at the storage building? This is most likely the reason they don't want EPV's stored inside do to the fire risk...
Unfortunately, none of the Namis have removable batteries yet. That feature along with UL Certifications are things that I'm hoping will become industry standards one day.
I have spoken to Micheal Shaw about an issue as well. Do you think it's really him? Surely it's an assistant messaging on his behalf? Also what do you think of the wolf. Any benefits over the Klima. I almost got one instead of the Klima but I'm glad I didn't. Just curious what I missed out on 😂
Thanks for joining us on this ride as well! I think it's really him, but I appreciate how quick they are to reply even if it's his team rotating for the responses. They always get you sorted out in no time and the parts are generally in NYC from China in about a week! I enjoyed the wolf. I wouldn't say we're missing out on anything in particular. It was a nice change of pace and nice to experience the dual stem and square wave controllers again. I didn't want to push it to hard because it was a borrowed scooter but I had fun on it anyway!
Hey, I recently bought a klima and iv been getting speed wobbles when going full speed...is there any way to fix this? Also did you find a solution to the crappy short front fender?
thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Peter! I apologize for the delayed response. Work has been crazy and I'm finally getting a chance to catch up with UA-cam. Honestly, I've never experienced any speed wobbles with the Klima even at prolonged high speed riding because of the thousands of miles I've put on my Burn E. The biggest contributor to speed wobbles on these scooters is the rider's posture and the uneven distribution of weight at speed. A temporary fix would be to get a steering dampener from Michael Sha on FB or UA-cam. This will limit the amount of wobbles you get while you get to know your scooter more. It takes 100 miles of riding to start to get to know the scooter. Around 500-1000 miles you'll have the muscle memory to control the scooter at any speed with out much wobbling. In short, there isn't really a "shortcut" to reducing the wobbles. It's just a matter of putting in the miles to get to know the nuances of riding the Klima while developing the muscle memory to control it. As for the front fender, there is a solution. The tire hugger from the back can be added to the front to reduce the amount of spray you get from wet roads by aiming the water down. However, it looks ugly as hell lol. I'm asking a buddy that has a 3d printer to look into making an extender that could be added to it. I hope this helps!
About to purchase my 1st scooter soon. I am torn between Wolf Warrior X, Mantis King GT or Nami Klima which of those would you recommend I know Nami Klima is supposed to be the best but are the others far behind?
thanks for joining us for this ride and welcome to the channel Alex! The Klima is definitely the most refined and has the best over all package between those 3 scooters. It's the most comfortable, it has the best power delivery, and it's IP rated while still having plenty of power. In terms of specs on paper, the other two are definitely right there. However, it's that complete package that puts the Klima ahead of it's competition. By the way, this is coming from a person that's only ridden the other two for test rides. I'm sure those that own the other two scooters would be able to argue otherwise lol. Just keep in mind, my friend Chuck started with the WWX and eventually upgraded to the Burn E as his everyday commuter! I have a playlist of first impressions and reviews if you have time to check it out. I did a first impression, 100 mile ownership review, and 750 mile ownership review of the Klima. Unfortunately, I haven't done the other two scooters since I was only interested in Namis last year hahaha I hope this helps!
Don’t do it without temperature control. I have regular storage for my e-bike and scooter off and on. No charge port there but it won’t get cold or hot
thanks for joining us for the ride and thank you for the suggestion! I actually went to see the space and I was really hot (it was only in the 80s here the other week) so I could only Imagine how cold it would get in the winter. I may just get a temperature controlled unit and just store the bike there and I'll bring the battery home with me!
Hummm i bought the wf X one yr. Latter sold my X bougt a wolf GT king pro, now buying a Nami. As a back up.scooter, i always upgrade my scooters also, but im a 12yr. EV tec.
thanks for joining us for this ride and welcome to the channel! Thats a heck of a line up you've had so far! That's awesome you're able to do that and since you're an EV tec you can work on it yourself. If I move out of the NYC area I'll probably upgrade my scooter again but I don't have the skills to work on it myself, which is a problem lol
Nice ride, Ivan! Lol, pops popped out on you. Stupid question, but does it feel strange going from your scooter to a different scooter? I've only been on my scooter, so I have no other feels. Like I said, it's a stupid question, but it's a real one. Ride That Tasty Wave
thanks for watching Weldon! Yeaaaa mannnnnn, people love to do that around here. Nahhhh, it's definitely not a stupid question. It's definitely weird jumping on other scooters, particularly one that's been owned for a while because things aren't exactly where you're used to on your scooter. The store models that I've tested, I can generally adjust things to be more comfortable for me but I'd never do that to someone else scooter. Then you have to get used to the way the scooter handles. For example in this video, I had to learn that the WWX particularly doesn't like low speed maneuvers and it prefers straight lines+ steering via leaning. It freaked me out there for a second but I just pretended like it didn't bother me at all lol.
thanks for joining us for this ride! Assuming that you already ordered the turn signals and harness from Michael Sha and you have the lifetime discount with FFR on service for your scooter, it'll be around $140ish dollars to do the install. I made an appointment, left my scooter there for few days, but it took about 2 billable hours of labor for the installation and testing. It definitely was not as pricey as getting the steel steering column installed on the the Burn E. That too them forever to get those swingarms off lol.
@@eyebahnrides How much do you think the parts alone are? I do all my own maintenance & upgrades on my Nami, no need to pay for labor. I contacted FFR, but they don't have that upgrade available, it's only available via Michael Sha. Unfortunately I don't have any way to contact him as I no longer use Facebook due to privacy concerns.
thanks for watching and sorry for the delayed reply! Work has been madness the last week and I'm finally able to catch up with UA-cam. The klima would do just fine with a rider of that weight. With all my gear I'm over 200lbs and this scooter still rips. I don't get the speed and range of a much lighter rider but the Klima is incredible!
I just test rode a Klima today for the first time, I'm a lot heavier than you, like 270lbs, and the Klima was QUICK even with my big back on it. Didnt get to test it on any hills, but if you havent made your purchase yet, you can be sure that the Klima will handle your weight no problem. I even had a lightly loaded backpack on.

Thanks Chuck. :)
chuck is the man! if it weren't for him we'd have another citibike video lol. Though that Citibike video did quite well, so I may have to revisit that in the future!
question ! i always see your mirrors below, is that a better view? i just got some and would like your opinion 😊
thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel Ethan!
Motivation Video🚀🚀🚀💯💪🏽🙏🏽
thanks for watching the video! Sorry for the delayed reply, works been crazy and just catching up with youtube now!
Nice I got to test ride his personal wolf too ,Also can of knew it was his wolf, I printed the cover for the display
I still want a kilma ,had to settle for the mantis due to weight ( apartment stairs fml ) .. fyi idk if you are attending a ride out at sticky rice tomorrow if you are see you there 🤞🏽
I'm looking to buy a new electric scooter and would appreciate some feedback on which brands make the most reliable and well-built models currently.
thanks for joining us and welcome to the channel!
I would set a budget and see what you can get in that space:
-Get UL Certified Batteries (this will eliminate a ton of manufacturers). Don't cheap out on the thing that could potentially burn your house down and cause fatalities
-Make sure its a minimum of IP55 rated if you live in a wet area like i do
-Look for speed/ range that you need
-find a reputable dealer that will stand behind the product they sell you
-finally, make sure you to routine maintenance when you purchase the scooter
From there do some research in the forums.
Hi, I have a question if you drive in D mode all the time with the weight you carry, how many km of autonomy can you expect to achieve approximately?
thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel!
@@eyebahnrides Ok thanks knowing that I weigh 60kg I suppose I could go far
Where did you get those particular blinkers? I have a burn e 2 and wonder if I can make those work on that. Thanks!
thanks for watching!
Unfortunately, I haven't done the other two scooters since I was only interested in Namis last year hahaha
I hope this helps!
I may just get a temperature controlled unit and just store the bike there and I'll bring the battery home with me!
signals are nice, I just want a auto turn of signal button
thanks for joining us for the ride! I 10000000000% agree with you. That's one of the things I could nitpick about the scooter lol.
@eyebahnrides lol, thank you. You played it off very well, sir. I figured there might be a little difference, but you never know.
@eyebahnrides how much did the front turn signal upgrade cost via FFR? I have a version 2 Burn E2.
thanks for joining us for this ride!
Would you recommend Nami Klima for a heavy rider like 220 lbs?
thanks for watching and sorry for the delayed reply!
🙏🏾👑🙏🏾🙂 Hey Eyebahn Rides How's it going. I Always say, Great Mines think alike. I was upgrading my Scooter Over the winter and the first thing I thought about was Turn Signals. 👍🏾 and then a Loud Horn. I Don't Really use it, I just wanted to have it on my Scooter for the People that act like they Don't Hear or See You. I still have my little Bell,Horn and Whistle on my scooter as well. I always like to try out New Tires. I got my PMT Tires right now. I got a Camera But I'm thinking about upgrading that as Well. I Always like your videos because i feel like I'm taking the Ride with You. as Always Take Care and Ride Safe. 👍🏾🛴🛴🛴✌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
thanks for joining us on the ride, I'm glad you enjoyed the video, great minds definitely think a like!
turnsignals- ✅
camera- ✅
PMTs - Pending
Since the stock tires are pretty good, the upgrade is kind of pending right now because we might have a PEV joining the fleet in the future and I'm trying to saving money where I can. Unfortunately, I dipped into the funds for the turnsignals and the new camera set up so just trying to build it back up. Not to mention I still need a new computer because the new camera's footage is really taking its toll on my computer lol. But we'll take it one step at a time and we'll just make it work!
P.S. I'm glad yall are getting the sensation of riding along with me. That was one of the things I'm really trying to share through the video
🙏🏾👑🙏🏾👍🏾😊 Yes, You get what you Need. I didn't really need New Tires, I just wanted to Try Them out. So many people was Telling me about how they grab the Road Better So I had to try them out. and I Like them. I get a Faster take off 😊 I have to always get myself prepared when it's time to take off Now. I Still got my Stock tires because they are Still Good. 👍🏾✌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Hey what helmet 🪖 are you wearing?
thanks for joining us on the ride! I have a link for the helmet in the description of the video and they're called the POC Coron Air. It's a great MTB helmet and amazing on hot days.
First comment Love all your videos
thanks for watching and welcome to the comment section! Glad you've been enjoying your time on the channel!
🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️🤙🏽
always appreciate your support homie! Thanks for watching the video 👊🏼
Is that square wave or sinewave?
Thanks for joining us on the ride! The WWX is square and the NKM is sine.
@eyebahnrides what controller is better in your opinion? Just judging the quality of difference. The square should be more perky ? But more damaging on the battery, and system? ( choppy operation) the sinewave should be more asterisks pleasing? Can you tell the difference?
10:01 lmao. Is that a ramp? No, its just garbage. Classic line.
thanks for watching Bob! In NYC, you'll never know what you'll run into lol. Glad it could provide a laugh or two!
Stop putting NYC bicyclists and pedestrians in danger by speeding in your motorized vehicles!! Stay off OUR bike lanes!!
@@barbechivo 👍🏼
Shut up @barbechivo
I love your channel but this was the most boring one you've done
thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, all the videos won't resonate with everyone all the time so we gotta just keep on keeping on!
