Yeah ! I have seen so many videos where they make a wood collar for the top. Silicone that to the chest, stain, clear coat, drill holes for taps, reattach the top.Check for leaks, hang a drip tray.(usually a bucket). JUST DRILL A HOLE IN THE TOP. pure genius , cheers! It is never going to be repurposed as a freezer chest again, we all know that.
Right? We tell ourselves and/or our partners it could be a freezer again. But once you have a magic box that beer comes out of, a freezer seems lame in comparison.
This is true of any tap system that doesn't have air circulation into the tower. First pint is a little foamy, after that, no worries. Or add a tower cooler.
What an age to be alive, don't ya love it?. Cheers Brad 🍻.
Cheers to you bud!
Laughed pretty hard when Paul flashed on screen. Beer doesn’t come out of that Tower - beer goes into it. Loving the vids boys.
I wish the tower had a collar you screw on so it would work on granite tops and it’s just easier
Indeed

I thought the biggest thing was that the air is warmer up there in the tower and the beer might be foamier

Great idea!! The tower won't come off when you open the door to change the keg?
Not if it's properly secured. Just make sure it doesn't hit the wall if there's one behind it. Cheers
Nice gear!
