Clear glue and white glue is a classic slime recipe people always use and also contact solution does act as activator it just depends on some company and amount you use you can also add baking soda. Clear glue and slime glue usually make a glossy thick slime.

The contact lenses stuff is true, but it depends on what kind is used. The part of it that turns glue to slime is boric acid and sodium borate, it also has to have it in a high enough concentration. If the contact lens solution you use don't contain that, then yeah it wont work.. and guess what is borax? Sodium borate! :3 Think of contact lens solution as a very very very VERY weak activator... so you do need a lot. rofl.
The color one... did no one take color theory in school? The end color is dependent on what color pigment has the highest concentration of well, pigment. Mostly it will turn into a brown but it can also go gray, or have a hint of any other color if that color had more of it in the mix, or a higher pigment concentration then the others.

When I was younger, I used to use contact solution to make slime and it actually does work. You just have to mix it for a long time, and make sure your proportions are correct. But the other way is much easier.

You can make slime with contact solution you just need to add baking soda, that will create a mixture like your borax activator.

I make slime with contact solution all the time and this is what I do
1. Add some glue (I usually use white glue)
2. Add shaving cream
3. Add contact solution
4. Add lotion (if slime is stiff)
5 Add charms and sprinkles/glitters (if you want to)

I always use contact lens solution for slime. When you're using it though, you need to add shaving cream, baking soda, or baking powder.
Contact solution does make slime but it need baking soda As well ( I always make my slimes with contact solution and baking soda)

FYI, white glue works better for slime because it makes it gently and softer and easier to dye the slime you’re the color of choice

I cant tell u how many times i’ve mixed clear glue and white glue together go make a glossy slime. It works, but you have to add 3/4 white glue and 1/4 clear glue. If you add half and half, sometimes the texture is unpredictable.
1 gallon of slime and 20 gallons of fishbowl beads cannot be mixed together. None of them will stay in when you stretch it. Please try this mess in your next video.
