There is an Anglican church in my neighborhood who (from my understanding) detached from the Episcopal Church and has come into communion with Rome as an entire parish!

This BBC video is designed to obfuscate the horror of the 600 year Catholic Inquisition.

This makes we so angry. I am member of the Anglican Church and whilst living in the UK was confirmed in the Church of England, which I love. Please read the Book of Common Prayer and Archbishop Cramer´s view of the church of Rome. It is church in grave error. Graham Leonard presided over a diocese that was dying. Since his departure parts of the the diocese has been growing mainly in the low church as people find Jesus and not the church! Interesting, this video goes on about "church, church, church" and very little about Jesus, Jesus and Jesus.

I was Anglican too but once I studied history and realised Henry VIIIth set up the Church of England just because he wanted to divorce and subsequently behead several wives I had to return to the original Church, set up by Christ and not a megalomaniac King. Archbishop Cranmer was a man riding the crest of a wave and hoping to curry favour with his King. Ultimately, he lost.

Peace David, the Church is the Bride of Christ. As St Augustine said: He who does not have the Church as his mother can not have Christ as his father. You are correct that Archbishop Cranmer was a Protestant. He denied numerous teachings of the one holy catholick and apostolic Church historically held by all in both East and West. The zeal of the evangelical low church is good but they are as those of whom the apostles asked Christ saying that they preached in His name but do not follow with us. Christ said that He would establish His Church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Do you believe Christ kept His word?

Peace Karolus, you are correct that Christ established one Church, but it was not Roman. Even the Church in Rome herself celebrates the feast of St Peter's Chair at Antioch. It is well known that St Peter was the first Bishop of Antioch and til this day the various Patriarchs of Antioch, who sit upon the Throne of St Peter, trace their lines of succession back to St Peter the Prince of the Apostles. The Church in Rome was founded soon after by St Peter, who first went there to preach to the Jews, (thus transferring his seat of authority while appointing a successor in Antioch) and St Paul who joined him afterwards.
Yet more importantly, why do you limit the word 'catholic' to mean only 'universal'? That is like saying the word 'mankind' only means 'males' when it is well known that it includes all people. Likewise, the word 'catholic' includes all creation, both spiritual and physical, whereas the word 'universal' only refers to the physical creation within this realm of creation but excludes the spiritual heavenly realm.

David Nash i understand your anger David, but the Church is the body of Christ, and without the One True Church there is no connection with Christ our Lord. Please remember that the cause behind the schism of the Church of England was not theological, it was let's say political.

Charbel, please read your scripture. There is no one true church. The true church is made up of true believers from a range of denominations, that could even, possibly, include some people in the Roman church who have blow away the smoke screen of liturgy doctrinal invention over the years. Regarding your point about the split being political, may I suggest that you read the CofE Book of Common Prayer. Arch. Cranmer has outlined enough theological points to show that the RC church has wandered well away from scripture; inventing beliefs that have no basis in scripture. Needless to say that it is a church in grave error.
