Hi Rob, thanks for your great lessons, where can I see the PDF to download?
@@billcarman957 Maybe..not sure...maybe..follow the " DOWNLOAD THE PDF EXAMPLES"...link?
Rob, thank you for all you do, greatly appreciate your channel. One thing I always notice is that you put a great deal of thought into your practice routines. Well done. I am curious as to the genesis of this exercise. Was it something taught to you or did you create it for your students? Also the book Finger Control by Roy Burns and Lewis Malin breaks down the wrist stroke. The title is deceiving as most of the text involves the wrist along with pictures of the appropriate grip and playing position. Did that text have an impact as to how you developed this routine?
145 bpm
05:51 - Exercise 1
06:45 - Exercise 2
07:38 - Exercise 3
08:27 - Exercise 4
09:22 - Exercise 5
10:17 - Exercise 6
Hands down the best drum teacher on UA-cam. Thank you Rob. 💯
I am gonna have to agree with that statement.
I'm a drumeo edge member and I'm still here (as well as drumeo...love drumeo too).
Agreed
Wow I was just working on my singles and got them to 160bpm. Accenting my left hand at the speed was definitely slowing me down. I'm good at at about 130/140bpm.
I will definitely be working harder on those accented lefts.
Wowwwwww
I just watched tons of your single strokes videos and you just posted another one!!!
Rob you are so great, man!
I benefit A LOT from watching your videos!
And I just purchased a ZST ZS10 Pro
after watching your introduction video about them!
Loved the last exercise! Congrats on joining Drumeo!! Thanks for all the good videos man.
Congratulations for your partnership with Drumeo. Happy for you Rob.
Thank you, man for all that you do I just started playing the drums I'm 62 I wanted to do it all my life so I thought it would be a great retirement tool to keep me sharp and motivated you are definitely an inspiration and I appreciate you.
I started playing drums as a teenager in the 80's. I took lessons from a really good drummer but I was either a poor student (I was) or he wasn't a great TEACHER. He would show me things and expect me to be able to just do them, he wouldn't take time to explain why it mattered. I eventually got bored and quit as life got busy. Now it's 30 years later, and I'm back. I'm determined to do it the right way this time. Your videos are amazing to me, you break everything down just perfect. With your instruction, A LOT of practice, and some patience i know I'm going to become the drummer I always wanted to be. Thank you.
Very useful exercises for those of us who have a folk-rock leaning and keeping that rhythm going just on the snare. Thanks Rob!
So true Rob..I use this type of exercise all the time..not only great for your reasons...but also timing...brilliant again Rob
I always look forward to you lessons and just wanted to tell you thanks for what you do!!
Rob ! Thankyou man , your videos have kept me growing and encouraged .. cant wait to play again.
A most useful lesson Rob. I can see a lot of value in these exercises, thank you for sharing them.
Thanks once again Doctor Brown 🎶❤️🎶 your help is greatly appreciated!!!
Fantastic exercises awesome to use around the kit thanks Rob.
Awesome exercices, Rob!! I´m 100% sure they will be effective! Thank you so much! Greetings from Portugal
I remember all the countless hours doing exercises on the guitar a lot of people should know its the hard work put in that brings all the reward and with it the gift of music!!!
Great channel it's the breaking down the exercises and practice is universal for every instrument!!!
Right on ;)
It is a really good sounding exercise. Coming from a simple single stroke pattern while sprinkling accents here and there. Sounded really good when he got on the kit with it. I have to check this out
Best sounding practise pad I ever heard 😉
My son is really benefiting from your videos. Thanks a lot Rob.
You are just Awesome, out of this world!
I had never watched Rob’s lessons. Only because, as an instructor, I use a lot of sources. Gaddaments, etc.etc.
I have to say I love what he's doing! A new source of information.
Thanks for sharing this, it is a great masterclass!
Legend Rob! I've learned so much stuff from you
Thank you I just tried and it's a very good exercice !!!
Thats awesome! thank you!
Great info thanks
Loving it man. Tq
Thank it help a lot
Thank you so much Bro.
Greetings from Brazil
Thank you ! 👍👍
Those are great exercises thanks for posting!
For added benefit I would suggest doing them with a left hand lead as well!
So helpfull... Thank you sir. ☺👍
Thank you for that video
“Don’t rush the process to awesomeness “👍👌
Wow congratulations on your DRUMEO that’s huge man !!!!!
Thank you
Right after I heard how it would sound on the kit I immediately wanted to hop on the pad and get to work on these exersizes!!
Thank you!! :D
Awesome hooking up with Drumeo congrats
Best Drum Teacher by far...Agreed!
This is very inspiring even for advanced players. And it's cool that he doesn't present a polished product, no, he even leaves small mistakes in the video. Because he is a true master. 😎👍
I love watching your videos. I've even fulfilled a lifelong wish and gotten myself a little kit. Unfortunately I ripped my rotator cuff and neck and haven't been able to sit at the kit for over a year. It's so frustrating.
man? I just got your tricks , it is awesome
Reminds me of Morello type exercises.. except with heavier strokes…motivating!!
Super help video,Thank you Rob.
It is not easy for me because i most play from fingers, when i start to play with wrest i drop down drumsticks,i use american french grip most the time
Another killer vid.. I like the grey in dat' Stache Beatdown LOl.
You the man Rob 👍🏻
Great video, been wanting to practice this more since I watched your gospel drumming video. Tough trading accents between left and right hand!
Thank you very much. What about trying to practice the exercises starting with the left hand ?
Cool lessons!!!! Thank you Sir!!!! 😊🥁🇵🇭
Wow!Thoes wrist can get out of shape fast!💛✌
those hand movements?.. were fabulousssssss..... lgbt fabulous...
Cool- all about Stick Level begin with no bounce, no fingers….An exceptional video!
Can you make a vid on doing the opposit of redusing snare buzz. like the other way around?
Excellent video, explanations and exercises as always! I just wish the notation was on the screen right after each transition instead of popping up a split second before your sticks hit the pad. Would make it much easier to play along. :)
Wooooah! Rob, you gotta warn us properly before you go all Buddy Rich, man!! 12:15 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Rob. If I may ask, even after 20 years of playing, I clash sticks sometimes on quick stuff, any ideas how to stop that. I am totally self taught, could be some of the reason I am sure :).
hola Rob encantado de tu canal
buenisimos ejercicios
algunos ejercicios para la mano tonta?
He visto el video q tienes x ahi...alguna sugerencia mas?
MUCHAS GRACIAS CRACK
Rob Just got back into Drumming after 40 years have been following you and practicing a few hrs. a day on my pad no Kit How do I download the PDF's I did play for many years but back than we didn't have all the opportunities they have today
Lets gooo
Wrists 4 Lyf 💪🏻
Perfect!
When I first saw your title I thought you were on a Six Million Dollar Man vibe. Since his bionics made him Better. Stronger. Faster.😉
I'm down with the stache
I MISS YOU bro
Just curious at time marker 426 demonstrating the very first exercise where you are accenting on the very first 16th note of each group of sixteenth notes... why was it not the leadoff exercise of the six... let alone not included at all ? Just curious being that I would think being the most basic and fundamental it would be included and a solid base to start from ?
Yo!! I love the content, Man. When do we get the video about preparing for fall drumline? 👀👀
Yikes! The pressure 😬 lol
@@RobBeatdownBrown you’re telling me 🙄😂
I'm sure this information is around somewhere - but I can't seem to find it outright. What metronome app are you using?
Amazing UA-camr. I wish he was my dad.
thank you. just want to let you know your website link issn't working in the list above.
I always wonder how these should or shouldn't fit in with someone like me who is only like a month and a half into learning drums. Certainly going to try it out though. Great video!
Stuff like this (rudiments with a focus on accents) are great when you’re new to drumming! Drop your tempo down a load though, and really focus on your form.
👍🏻🤘🏻🥁
Perhaps the best time to try this isn’t after a heavy gym arm session? Pain is just weakness leaving the body right? #3 though 😩
okay so i did the exercise from 0:00 - 0:13 and i feel awesome
Great as always! Anyone recognize the red practice pad? Looked online but doesn't show up in my searches?
I'll be damned, it's an Evans.
It's a shame I get more pad time than kit time but these exercises will definitely come in handy
Thanks for this. Check out the cover of your Broadway hustle (Drumeo) I did if you can. 💪🏿🥁💯🔥
I can play all the exercises except for 3 cause my brain wants to switch to left hand lead which displaces the entire pattern and messes me up lmaoo.
🙏🥁👍
Excersice #3. Not quite my tempo 🤔
God bless you rob never forget the lord !
Having a wrist flexible is hard specially for me I'm 50 now, takes forever unfortunately!
You are a super awesome player but i dont understand why u are against using fingers?
From what i see some of the most tecnincel drummrs use
This particular video is not about fingers. You cannot develop your playing without using fingers, and this channel has at least one video dedicated to them. Check it out cause it's great and super useful.
You took off like a Jack Rabbit.
1 dislike couldn’t play #3 and rage quit.
I use match grip 😭
Number 3 is wayyyyy harder for me compared to the rest. Is it just me? 🥴
Man I hate traditional grip. It feels so unnatural. I'm trying to incorporate it more in practice

i cant like the video bcause its at 69 likes
