Charcoal is sleeper OP. I was doing salt and never thought of that. What is even better the furnace is doing 2 stacks at once. So you get your exp in half the time you have mentioned. With upgraded furnaces this method is fire
UPDATE:: You can not sell Charcoal. I was incorrect. You can sell Salt and the Cards you get, which will be more than enough to cap :) Thanks.. and sorry.
Iron will give you XP for gathering the material and making bars. The steel bars can be use for ammo or sold to vendors. 1k Steel bars = 15k EL from vendors.
Yeah, i'm kinda doing a hyrbid right now. I have half stoves and half furnaces to finish 40-50. I crank the stoves up then go farming everything in site.. then I come back and process it all on the furnaces, which is a full time job with the coal.. then I refill the stoves and go back farming. Non-stop passive experience and great money.. although, im capped now on vendors :)

Salt works even better with friends as its scalable to a degree. Just put your bases together and share stations. It will cap out once you can't gather water fast enough (~25-30k xp per hour). Using this over charcoal has the advantage of needing to get wood (only one of you needs the chainsaw and the others can save Material Points). Charcoal is probably the way to go if you're solo.
actively farming wood aint convenient, i have farmed like 100k woods in 30 mins of canned oil, those 100k woods were gone after 4 rotations of furnaces, coz wood ratio to charcoal is 5:1 while seawater is 1:1, tldr passive collecting seawater is less tedious = afk 10mins and put all on stoves for 2 rotations (i know what im saying i was farming on 43 stoves with hivemates)
I can't say my method is faster than the ones you mentioned, but I did try the salt method and didn't like it, even though it was easy. I usually stock up on blueberry soda, and there's a spot near a teleporter that has a massive spawn of them. I got curious and wanted to see how many blueberries were there, so I walked down the street and around, and it was nothing but blueberries. So, I gathered a bunch for about an hour, then made a lot of Blueberry Soda. Since I already had the salt stoves set up, I just made soda and leveled up quite a bit. However, it wasn't enough to get me to level 50. I ended up using the Silo method to reach 50. I'd also recommend farming for a couple of Orange Pies for the XP boost when killing mobs.
Where is that blueberry spot? I could use it just to make a ton of drinks.. hard mode you're always out of food/water. Also, what was the leveling in the Silo like post 40? I noticed I was going pretty slow after 35.
For me I rather do this at phase 1 1. Speedrun to T3 Map 2. Make 14 Electric Stove to Farm Salt 3. Do exploring n finishing all the quest till all done while waiting my salt 4. After point 3 is done im gonna farm salt, while waiting im gonna do whatever team chat offer either silo/mono that's it 5. U can actually spam permit too while waiting ur salt
just use reg stoves and furnaces... This requires you to have a Chainsaw and an Alt for max output. Make like 5-10 furnaces - Go farm a ton of wood - Fill your furnaces to make Charcoal Take all that Charcoal and use it to make salt/water. Now you are getting Xp from Charcoal and Salt/ Boiled Water Charcoal and Boiled Water for Pure XP Charcoal and Salt for XP and Energy Link
I recently decided to start a character on a server in their final phase leaving me 27 days to do everything. I found out commissions were already unlocked for the whole season ( along with everything else)and wasn't based of my level but a set amount that drastically increases each week. it is super fast. I went from level 15 to 50 in 2 hours with 18k Starchrom to spend. It was insane. If you want to just get your gear quick and go to the hard server this may be the way to go.

I do this with a furnace that has Sintering, Refined Refining, and Effecieny Lover. It blows the salt method out of the water even though it takes slightly longer to stock up the iron
That's another great method. Ill give that a shot today. The plus side is the coal is only 40 seconds, I'll have to check the timing on the other two to see what's optimal. Goal is to push to 50 today on 2 toons :) I'm crazy.
I tested the bricks (8min), Steel (8min) so if its 2x XP then twice as good as salt, however the Charcoal at 1:30 is still king for XP/Min. However, it's a constant farm due to the speed. Doing the Bricks or Steel would probably be more pleasant and lets you go do things while you wait.

Im now using the stoves as passive exp while farming trees, then processing everything on the furnaces and loading the stoves back up as I go back out. Win-win :) It probably helps that my furnaces are much faster -60% speed, you can probably stay with just stoves if you're using the default.
Those who have good weapons can solo the spider boss it gives 2400 xp a run which is faster or if you do it with team it gives you like 1800-1900xp i don't remember much. This is the best farming method for me and my server spamming the boss right now like crazy. 😂 You can combine this with crafting salt instead of waiting.
Dirty water can be even better experience because it crafts at a half the time, however it does take 3:1 instead of 1:1 so you'll need to farm it harder. Doing the waterpumps is a great way to do that.

Hey, I found a way to level up faster. You can use dirty water instead of seawater. It's not sellable, but it's way quicker. Five stacks of seawater take 41 minutes, while dirty water takes only 16 minutes. Do the math, and you'll see that you can get 133k exp in 4 hours if you have an alt account. I have 25 stoves, and I let my alt account gather water while I'm doing tasks and farming

2:36 There was something similar at some point in The Division 2 and it was creating an insane never-seen server-wide deep lag. I would advise to be very careful with this kind of exploit. I would not want to be banned just for some easy level-ups.
A lot of games do it but most limit the experience and loot because players will always take advantage of it. I could totally see this being updated in the future, but it's been around awhile and they haven't cared yet.. so i'd take advantage while it's here.

Those are items that you get from your memetic specializations and they usually last a week, so you need to get new ones each week. They give you a ton of great things, like extra parts, less weight, more backpack space, etc.. You can usually find these on Vendors (See my vendor video), or you can likely ask in chat and someone will either give you one or have one for sale. Hope that helps! Could just play the game and just grind white cliff and sunshine farm. Takes 3 to 4 hours to get to 45. If first Playthrough. Less if your second season fyi
Dude, you didn't mention commissions. do your five commissions right off the rip to get to level 10 doing easy things. Phi is good advice, its just a bullet dump, kill 2 of the pods and melee it in the doorway, carry multiple melee weapons and use your deviations if it gets overwhelming.
@@godsarmyofhammers 0:45 I mention to start with those before doing these methods. The commissions will boost you up a little but they become way more powerful in the later phases 3-5. Great advice with the melee to save ammo. Before I swapped to the sniper I burned like 10k smg. Made it all back though plus some with all the acid I got. 😀

How do you have 5 solar panels? My territory allows me to have only 4 because the upgrade that would allow me to have more is locked till the next phase...
This iteration is kinda like New Game +, You keep everything important but get to run through the content again (kind of), but with all your best gear/mods/items and on hard difficulties which will get you even better stuff. However, it's really meant for us to move from scenario to scenario, they just won't have those ready until Sept/October. Plus, it's more fun this time around. -- If none of that convinces you that its a good thing.. they have no-wipe servers coming, but they will probably be stuck on one scenario all year.

The PHI Method is the best one because you not only get exp you will also get a ton of loot.

Yeah but getting enought iron ores take you 5 times or more the amount of time it takes you to get the logs .

Yeah, thats what I recommend while doing the Salt farm. You get 2.5k exp even in a full group, so the more the merrier!

Gonna guess these methods have been patched as I tried the charcoal method and it pretty much gave no exp.
I haven't tried the charcoal but i know the water was still working as of yesterday.
