Pity there aint any documentation on the roots of Writing in Northern Ireland, The first Writers in Belfast were around 1983 (that I remember) I started in 1984, Crews like HardCore Bombers, Under Cover Artists, The Hell Raisers etc Peace out to Nurt, Uneek, Creem, Sherry, Slick, Obseen, Skeez, KC, Poska, Ease, Lee, Stewarty.
I have always thought the same thing myself.. would be amazing to see the actual roots of writing and who started it all and got the ball rolling, I was thinking it started in the 90s over here so it's cool to hear that from your own experiences it was actually the 80s
Sure the murals do represent some bigotry and violence but some of them also represent history and its important not to forget that, im glad however that actual graffiti is on the rise in belfast :)
Fucking love these movies.
finally a graffiti documentary without toys
