@@azuryte1423 those are the spawn caps, yes, but baboon hawks and eyeless dogs are physically incapable of reaching their spawn cap because doing so would go over the power limit of every moon in the game. the highest nighttime entity power is 12 on march, which would allow up to 12 baboon hawks or 6 eyeless dogs to spawn, assuming no other entities spawned. i guess you could reach the spawn caps with modded moons, but does anyone really care about them?
I love this track and the atmosphere of the eclipse worlds. You can land in any stormy, flooded, or regular moon with no issues, but the moment you enter an eclipse world, you truly get a feeling that it's a moon you aren't suppose to exist in at all. This is helped by the fact that when you land as a team, you just have to suddely stay entirely quiet and be cautious of every single move from the moment your ship lands. It's pure terror; you do NOT belong in eclipsed worlds.
This song really reminds me of that one Subnautica PDA warning. "Detecting multiple Leviathan class lifeforms in the region. Are you sure whatever you're doing is worth it?" Especially with that last part. Are you sure going to this even more dangerous moon, with other possibly easier options, with you fully aware of what creatures are around the moment you land, is worth risking your life to get this quota?
Warning: break in space time detected, architect infrastructure has gone rouge. Expect multidimensional leviathans near your area shortly. Little concept 🌊🌊
I like how the music sounds somber and depressing, almost like it's pitying the players, asking "What the hell did you forget here, poor lost souls?" It's about the only thing I like about eclipse. Willingly going on any moon with this condition when you know what awaits you is crazy, in solo - death sentence (unless you REALLY know what you're doing).
There's this video of this person doing over an hour of just eclipsed Titan completely solo and it's honestly wild. Almost makes me forget how truly threatening they are.
It makes beginner friendly moons like Vow, Assurance and Experimentation truly threatening. A new player squad landing on their second day on experimentation but the second day is eclipsed will have a rude awakening
This reminds me of how too often the crew I'm with will start sprinting blindly and loudly as soon as the ship lands during an eclipse, followed by the roars of 5 blind dogs.
I've seen a LOT of people talking about eclipsed titan, but i have never gone to titan unmodded, any time i want to go to a paid moon, i go to rend, it might actually be the best moon, (paid moon, of course, if you don't have the money, assurance is the way to go.) not only does it cost the least, its got about the same amount of scrap as dine, a moon that has the highest turret and mine cap in the game, (so far, im sure at least one more moon will be added to the game) it also has the highest chance for nutcrackers, now im not very good at fighting really anything stronger then a hoarding bug, but its still possible to get a shotgun, and its pretty fun fighting then anyways.
Dine has a low forest giant spawnrate to compensate for the increased difficulty, which is at least something. When I play with my friends, the interior of Dine kills people a bit more, while the exterior of Rend kills people more.
Of course we aren't, but the chances of intelligent life out there is ASTRONOMICALLY low, it's a miracle we become intelligent in the first place, perfect solar system, perfect distance from the sun, perfect timing and conditioning. Life was impossible within the first 2-3 billion years of our universe, Quaser Black holes left and right and, as well as constant super novas; we most likely are the first intelligent life forms in our universe
@@justanotherweeb7403 but in saying that heres some food for thought, space is so massive that there is at least one other intelligent species out there, possibly aggressive, possibly even more dangerous than what we have seen in this planet, and almost guaranteed to look like the stuff of nightmares
@@Official_SteamPUNKS that's true, I'll give you that. But let's say this, let's say life began SOMEHOW a few billion years after the birth of the universe, life has essentially had no chance since it's literally hells inferno, but let's ignore all the supernovas, all the Quaser Black holes, gamma burst, insane heat in general, and cosmic gases flying around; the stars then weren't meant for life AT ALL. There weren't many orange dwarves around that time frame, since there was so much gas concentration at the time it would make larger sequence stars by default (red giants and other stars that are absurdly huge), I would say at the 8-10 billion year mark, maybe since everything was spaced out. About 3 billion years ago, they were around, and life formed on earth almost a billion years ago. As I said, everything was a LITERAL miracle, perfect time in our universe, we're in a calm quadrant of the galaxy, very little super nova during our evolution, and a Yellow Dwarf, everything is quite literally perfect, and I HIGHLY doubt there's anything really intelligent out there, if there was, we would've known about it.
It almost sounds like some creature breathing behind the high wails, or a bug caught on sticky tape, in the dead summer, frantically flapping it's wings to escape as the melting glue begins to cover more and more of it, unknowingly leading more bugs to the sound to get caught and die, all together, one by one as the heat saps the water from their bodies.
Gonna hook up this to speakers and play it when the total eclipse hits today
You did?
Otherwise known as the ambience that plays when your entire crew gets eaten by dogs while 10 worms burst out of the ground nearby
Right as you land the ship
My 🤓☝️self just wanted to say :
Only 8dogs 3worms 3forest keeper 15baboon hawk can spawn at once.

Game is like "idk why you went there but id be you id leave now"
even though me and my team can handle eclipses perfectly fine but all have a gagging reflex at the though of doing flooded or stormy
Theme of "We don't have enough to route back to titan, how bad could Eclipsed be?"

Now I want a Subnautica mod that adds eclipse ost to that biome... Also in lethal company substituting earth leviathan model with reaper leviathan
Let me do something
"Warning: detecting abnormal augment of local fauna agressivity, are you sure, whathever you're doing, it worth's it?"

Not the same without 5 bajillion blind dog roars and 10 quintillion giant steps in a first pentosecond of landing on the planet

I played it too!
Yeah I had it playing in my ear using one of my air pods during total eclipse
As a Californian I can't relate
All the brackens disappeared when I saw the eclipse on april 8
that moment when you and your team have enough to go to titan but the guy on the computer didnt tell us about the eclipse:
No but this did happen the first time I ever went- still haven't gone back (didn't make enough quota)
