However in dota scene tier 1 and 2 teams have blurred distinctions. For example many teams who particiapte at almost all lans but don't do well at them are considered tier 2 or even 2.5. Where do you personally draw the line and what make tier0, 1,2,3 teams? Thank you.

I find the process very fascinating and it's definitely one of my weak points in the game. If you guys could shed some light on how to analyse a draft, and how one could predict a pick/ban that would be really really cool!
If you watch their games you see how bad they are reading the game. The macro aspect, always bad smokes, bad drafts etc. It its obvious their macro knowledge is really bad. Who is even drafting at that team? Its like their team lack big brains. Look at team falcons like they have 6 big brains on team and compare it to nigma. Who is the brain there? kuro, gh are not even playing pubs. Miracle, sumail are skilled players but not big brains. Who is the leader there
I can think of some situations where you might pick Terrorblade in current patch. So what makes him pickable is that his carry and mid matchups against the most popular heroes are either good or not bad, except a couple here or there. The problem with tb (excluding the nerfs since that's the obvious bad part about him) is that all the strong pos 3s, 4s, and 5s are very good matchups against him. So if the enemy team is griefing with off meta garbage on 3 of their 5 roles, it might be a good tb game. I think terrorblade is meant to be played differently right now and people aren't adapting. I think of him more like a ck but on a longer cooldown (and just generally worse), u farm with illusions next to you, maybe send the occasional one to push a lane when u've got at least a yasha, u go dragon lance + manta as fast as u can and every time u have meta u run at objectives or heroes, because now with lvl 10 talent ur illusions do 95% damage and ur mantas do 58% when they are next to u which is honestly not bad. I feel like u've got to snowball now as terrorblade otherwise you just slowly lose the game like AM does, u split the map, farm too slow, and are never strong enough to fight. U've got to win lane, get dragon lance + manta in 15-20 mins and go end the game by 30 mins. That's just my two cents on the hero, I'm not pro but this is my perspective so lemme know what you think! TLDR; if u wanna play terrorblade just pick ck instead.
Double downs will not cause mmr deflation because there is nothing that says that you're more likely to lose when you double down. Double downs will simply boost the mmr wave in whatever direction its going. If new/returning players start playing and losing ranked games, giving mmr to the "grinders". The double downs will give the "grinders" more mmr and there by boost the inflation. When the wave of new/returning players die down and the deflation starts, the "grinders" losing to the top players will lose double mmr (if double downs are still around) and that will boost the deflation.

I think the hard part of watching Nigma as a fan is that they will always pull out a random game where they absolutely roll a team and look like they're unbeatable. Had a good laugh on deep state conspiracy But i gotta side with Austin that double down is more inclined towards inflation. While its partly a gamble, but the outcome isnt necessarily 50/50 if the hero draft is skeewed towards 1 side of the team.
Being a nigma fan it is mentally exhausted, in bo3 match nigma could win 1 series owning so bad with miracle rampage giving the fans so much hope, and in the next game nigma lose 11-0 in 20 minutes I just can't man
