- I never seen this in the stores back in 2004-2005. What a cool toy! Do you know how much it originally cost or where it was sold? If you had one, I can imagine that you played with it a lot! What a great toy! For more AcceleRacers, check out my playlist:

Sadly never gonna happen. They rebooted/retconned vert and his dad into battle force 5 which was nowhere near as good imo
UA-cam recommended this to me in 2023 ._.
it would be neat if they would do an origional acceleracers pack of all the racers

My mom and I picked this up when I was younger, we got ours a Target, and I played with it non-stop. So much fun!
I remember getting this so much fun for my child hood
I used to have one of these when I was a kid! I got it for my 3-5th birthday (unsure) but i remember it was 25-50 US dollars. I played the HECK out of it. I used to get the cars and whenever I used to watch the movies, i would reenact the cars as the movie goes on and I used the sweeper during the 2nd-4th movies. I also remember making crazy tracks and using the sweeper to "spit" out the drones to control the acceleracers' cars to get sucked into the sweeper. I still have mines in the garage somewhere.

RaceGrooves My favorite episode of Accele Racers is ep.4, The ultimate race. It's when they (heros) steel a sweeper, and expect to save Mark Wild. Results are saved Wild( I watched all 4 ep.).

Got this thing 7 years ago and I LOVED it! Still do aswell, I always was into acceleracers didn't collect many normal hotwheels mainly acceleracers

I love that Drone Sweeper! I remember watching the Accelracers as a kid and I would scream at the TV whenever I saw the Drone Sweeper attacking.

To answer some of your questions, I remembering getting mine back when I was a kid at Target. My pops bought it for me for about $29.99 and I still have it! It's pretty dusty though next to all my hyperpods and my case of acceleracers. Lol I remember playing with this thing all over the living room, re-acting some of the scenes from the movie! This indeed was one of the greatest toys I had as a kid!
The Drone Sweeper reminds me of a big 10 wheeler Semi Truck!👍😁🚛🤖💚
I got this one for my fourth birthday because it fell right after a major hip surgery! Now I can't find it!!!! I loved how the designers knew the cars were supposed to go in backwards so had the circle thing to gyrate them around inside so they could come in and out facing the same way! Awesome!
@Doomz4U Yes, I bought both series for my son. I have watched all of the episodes once but my son watched them several times.
I had a cargo truck that was 2 levels with a ramp that also could fit cars in the cab of the truck. Man, I wish I saw these when I grew up. I only saw Highway 35 and feel like discovering Acceleracers is like finding a lost part of my childhood that I never got to experience.
I remember seeing this in Target back in either 2005 or 2006. I was never able to get my hands on it, and it will probably be a while before I am able to get it because of how much it goes for online nowadays. If I ever am able to get it I am definitely going to hook up my green Hot Wheels track to it and make some sort of track layout with it.
I would have loved to have this as a kid, even now I would like to have one in my collection

My neighbor gave to me when i was little because her son was getting older so he didn't need it. I played with it so much and still have it. The sweeper has heaps of play value.

Whether you're aware of this now or not, the Sweeper in the movies (First revealed in the 2nd movie "The Speed of Silence") was meant to be a large Drone vehicle that could suck up multiple cars on the track. When inside, the cars would be disassembled, and the drivers would be put into small tubes near the rear of the Sweeper, with metal bars above them. There were also small mechanic Droids that would sabotage the cars, and in the 3rd and 4th movies, they were known to release Biker Droids.
i remember of drawning Taro's car getting chased by an sweeper when i was a kid, it was 2013 and my class mates dint cared much. Now i'm sad i got rid of all my old school note books, how much drawning have i made and i'm never seeing those again

Almost 2022 and people still watch acceleracers. The drone sweeper is awesome
I didn't get one because at the time the movies were around I was about 5 or 6 something like that and took everything seriously so I thought it would disassemble my cars cause in the movies they disassemble the car then grab the driver and I thought the toy would do the same thing and now I regret that

All of the AcceleRacers merchandise were released around 2005. I have been collecting since 1998.
Those Drones or robots that hang onto the bottom of the Drone Sweeper are pretty wild!
Even if you don't have the originals, it's great that they are still using the tools so we can get more colors =) As for the booster wheel looking like Mid-Air Madness, yes, same design.
I'm pleased you have shown us those fantastic toys because was one of my favourites tv shows but please take good care of this cars

Oh my gosh I had this thing from age 4 to present, I have no idea where it is now, but I played with it ALL the time for about 5 years, and I never knew there was a track connector on the bottom, that is so cool.

I remember seeing this in Target back in '05 but I passed it up for the Acceledrome track set. I was finally able to get myself one last year, and it is fantastic!
You did miss a small feature in your review though. The Sweeper has four little parking spaces under the in-going ramp and the turntable (you can see them in the video at 2:07 and 5:49 respectively).
I don't remember how much it was, but I do believe I found it at a local supermarket when I was little! I religiously watched the show, and when this came out, I saved long and hard (did chores around the house; it was a good motivator =P). I had a ton of fun with it, and still have it in working order! Great place to store cars and occasionally shoot 'em out onto a track! Loved the video! Thanks and keep it up!

I got one of these in 2006 from a Toys 'R' Us. A week later there was a huge flood that ruined the store. Luckily ive kept mine in great shape since then!
When I was five or six, I got it from my grandma. It was the coolest toy! I would always attach a loop to it so the cars could go through a loop!

Yes! Power Rage was one of the first Mystery Cars when they were in the black blisters. Speed Racer 6:45 wasn't a mainline car. It was a separate product for the movie. They had track sets and all sorts of stuff.
I had the Acceleracers Trash Crawler, my great grandmother got it for me when she learned that I loved the show and she watched my expression when I saw the episode that the crawler was in while I was staying at her house. I miss her so much R.I.P Lenny Beck.
I have been buying them from eBay. Many of the models are affordable. There were some that were very hard to find and those will not be cheap anywhere. Reverb, Chicane, Spectyte are still sell anywhere from $40 to $50 each.
After finally getting to experience one myself, I really appreciate the design!
I got the drone sweeper in 2007 and i had all the cars about 4 years later i found them in a box and they were dusty and broken so ive been looking for them again i need them. I have the movies still

I don't know anything about your Dad but from my experience, a kid at 5 years old doesn't know a whole lot. Now that you are 11, you are starting to come into age where you have a better understanding of what's really going on in the world.
I got it for my 7th birthday I remember! my mom got it for me and I believe it was $50? I can't remember the price, but I used it almost everyday and sometimes I even bring it out nowadays

Yes, we have the 4-disc series so I seen all of the Realms.
Bought one today at a yard sale for a buck. It works, figured it out, now just got to hook my tracks ups and me and my nephew have something to play with. Awesome toy. Thought it was a car hauler, so did the lady that sold it to me.

I had this, the one, the grappling hook, the one that drive over rocks, and the one to drive faster, and all the cars. I got them when they were new and now all the cars sealed cost 2,000$.
Such an awesome toy. Glad I Still kept both of mine. They may have wear but they're still loads of fun, even after all these years.

These have not been in stores for many years. You will have to find a collector store or an online marketplace such as eBay.

I don't know where this was sold, but I got one for my fourth birthday following a surgery. Now I can't find it seem to find it ;(. I would assume back in the day you'd be able to pick it up at Toys 'R Us, Target, K-Mart, the likes. But we bought all our HotWheels from the Walgreens down the road.

Agreed! This kind of booster is safe for most cars. I should compare the boosters with the ones from the 3-Lane Super Speedway.
As an 18yr I believe he is one of the better toy channel...only one subject hot wheels which are the collectibles of hot wheels that are his kids so basically he is "reviewing" his kids car collection

I know this is an old video but it almost looks like the faded one is supposed to glow in the dark, when your shadow was covering it, it looked more green
I agree that it is very similar to a glow in the dark color but I don't recall anybody stating that fact in the other comments.
No worries about them having the tampos worn off. You loved your cars and you played with them! That's what they are for! If you want them in mint condition, you can keep your eyes on eBay auctions.
I always asked my mom for the Sweeper when acceleracers was a thing. I still remember going to the store and showing it to her and why i wanted it so much. She kept telling me that "maybe" for christmas but in the end i never got it. I didn't get any Acceleracers car either. The sold like for 1 dollar and my parents never wanted to buy one for me :c
Mattel employees don't have any special access to new cars. They have to buy them just like us but some of the Mattel warehouses have a Toy Store that the public can visit as well.
I didn't even know this existed as a child. I'm an adult now and I'm still baffled that this was sold. I wish I owned one back then.

I don't have any Hyperpods but I do have the AcceleDrome and the Swamp Beast track sets still sealed in the box.

cool wall tracks bro and the Power Rage recolor is SICK! I wish I've ever seen it before. anyway, i found my dronesweep at wallyworld as they were starting to phase out the cars. it, along with the rest of my accelercars, they are the only hotwheel things i've decided to keep (everything crams nicely in the sweeper :-) ) I've never really played with it because I've nicked enough oh my old HW stuff in the past and i'd like to keep what I was able to get reasonably nice + 4 C batteries, really? + loud. So thank you a lot for showing how it is really ment to be played with. never knew the turn table worked when powered on.

I don't remember seeing the Drone Sweeper in the stores either. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't have bought it. I sure wish I did because they were going for $200 for quite some time.
I remember getting one of the Hyperpods without realizing that it was from Acceleracers. I never watched the movies as a kid, only Highway 35.
I couple months ago, I did get around to watch all of the movies. Now I understand how everybody feels like they kind of left everybody hanging. As for whenever I decide to let some of my stuff go, I will list stuff on eBay and let eveybody know.
