And then she killed her friends? Beverly doesn't like Esther because she can get bad vibes from Esther. Esther could have a mental illness that makes her imagine them, when in actuality it's her killing her friends/parents, and then the illness skipped a generation (Ruby's mother.) Esther died from her mental illness, but nobody knew about the illness even existing. Then, it came back, and was passed down to Ruby. Wouldn't someone have heard the rabbit killing the parents, or killing Esther? And she gave it away before she died, so how could it kill her? Nurses are working night shift, most likely. And then how would a slingshot kill a demonic rabbit? And the neighbor heard noise, and ruby was awake. So wouldn't Ruby hear it too, if mr.hopps did kill her parents? The police arrested her, because the fight with mr.hopps wasn't actually mr.hopps, it was a cop, coming to collect Ruby. Ruby killed it, and then the chase part was a cop chasing her out. So long story short, the theory is theres a mental illness that skips a generation, and can drive a person to death. Said person will kill, and be unaware of their actions, and when they get caught, have no idea what happened.
