I gather this is the local Houston CBS affiliate? Never even heard of this service or this meteorologist. But as a South Floridian, holy crap this guy is good. I’m no stranger to these broadcasts and this meteorologist puts our “acclaimed” local weather affiliates to shame. I was actually blown away by his lecture on the storm, and I feel like I genuinely understand the meteorological science better now, in spite of having watched literal documentaries behind the science of hurricanes. Good job dude. I will pay attention to this guy going forward.
Very simple explanation of the track of Lee . The main key to this track is when it makes that turn north , and they will have a very good track on the system .
Radar imagery is ok but what would really be cool would be actual videos of the lonely dark haunted actual spot where the hurricane is like close to sea level
The GFS and Euro models you showed were form the wind distribution at 850mb. That's at 5000 ft. The land is not effected by that and YOU SHOULD have shown the winds at 10m...30 ft...as these are those that create the effects experienced by people. Next. The overnight temps for this weekend will be in the high 50s. That low temp is close to the 5000 ft temp of about 39. This will limit atmospheric mixing and general limit the production of microbursts and possible tornadoes. Basic stuff.

I fear looking outside my window and seeing those vicious humanoid fish creatures known as “Canadians”. Gives me the shivers every time I see them. Truly terrifying things. May this storm destroy all of their kind so that the glorious land of the United States may prevail!

It's because the other hurricane took in a lot of the warmer water and cooled the ocean in that area
