this was my favorite ride I've ever been on. I recommend it for anyone who's nervous because I was and I could have never thought I'd love it as much as I did. The lift is very fast and when your halfway down the first hill, you are in LOVE:)
exactly! i used to be deadly afraid of roller coasters but after that first drop, the fear drains out of your system.
Anyone else notice the track they showed being manufactured wasn't millennium force's Intamin track but it was some kind of B&M (Bollinger and Mallibard) Track?
That track looked like b&m hyper coaster track.
Yea they were describing how computer-designed coaster track is made not how MM's track was made
Also Intamin played around with B&M style track. rcdb.com/53.htm is an example of an Intamin with B&M-style track. If I'm not wrong, that was because Giovanola helped Intamin in their early days, and B&M was made from people who quit Giovanola.

this ride still holds up as one of the best coasters in the world. even with coasters today like Steel Vengeance and iron gwazi in 2022
Iron Gwazi is at my home park...I'd take Millennium Force any day of the week. I actually wish we got Velocicoaster at Busch and IOA had Iron Gwazi. #teamintamin
Am I the only one that never screams on roller coasters? I am still nervous, but it seems so unnecessary to scream.
I don't think everyone does it because they're scared. I don't, I do it to hype up my friends and it's pretty fun too. Where else can you just yell and not care?

Lol I remember getting on this my first time and going up that hill that seem to take forever. Couldn't help but think to myself what have I gotten myself into lol it was scary.
Same, I was like why the fuck did I do this but then after the the first drop it wasn't scary.

When I rode this the first time I wanted to get off as soon as we started moving, because right before they let the train go, the operator informed all of us how fast the ride was, how tall it was and how steep the first hill was. It was the most terrifying thing.
I actually ended up loving this ride though. It's so smooth and it feels like you're flying! The first hill still makes my heart beat out of my chest!

I remember riding it one time about 2010 and as we were getting ready to dispatch the op said "If you are afraid of heights and don't like high speeds, you're going up 310 feet and will be reaching speeds of 93 mph... enjoy your ride on Millennium Force" and off we went. Would have liked to have seen the faces on some of the riders after that spiel :D

I'm not sure how old any of you are. I am 38. I've been riding coasters for a Very long time. I've always loved them. I have found that as I've gotten older, my fear and respect have grown. I'm taking my boys to Cedar Point in a few days. I'm honestly very scared! I don't want to miss out on the fun though.

This truly is the greatest roller coaster as everyone has said. I've only ridden it once, though. :( I would pay the plane ticket just to ride this a few times again. So much air-time, so silky smooth.... like butta.

They make this roller coaster sound much scarier than it really is. I rode it and I wasn't even scared- it was just fun! XD
I rode it for the first time on 5/5/2024. And I loved it! You truly can't beat Millennium Force! Terrifying first drop? Not at all
The crazy thing about the Millenium Force is it stays 90+ MPH pretty much the whole ride. This is the best ride at Cedar Point BY FAR.

It's soooo freaking awesome at night dude! That first hill and drop is crazy.
the first time i road this it was about 2 years ago, i rode in the front seat, my friend josh was too scared to go so i went alone. when i got in the seat, the worker lady asked "Who would like to sit with this young man?" and this guy with a REALLY long pony tail sits next to me, and the whole ride his hair was slappin me in the face haha,
I've rode it a few times and it is so scary but after the first hill it's really fun!

i have rode every single cedar point ride in the front seat and I still do it is the best place in the world and I rode the millienium force right after a big storm and it was amazing not even scarey

I disagree people have their own perspectuve of how they see things. Not everyone will think it is fun. rollercoster can be both fun and scary. what you said is not really much of a fact.
The first time I went on it, the climb up was just full of terror. The coaster seemed to climb and climb forever. I could feel my head pounding.
of the 102 coasters i have been on, this is my number 1!!!! its not about speed or height.. its about the feelings you get.. all the airtime!!!!

This is not at all scary but is still definitely the best steel coaster.

You have to go on the very last seat on this ride, back seat is the best.
I live in Elyria, OH and I go to Cedar Point regularly. Easily the BEST coaster I've ever been on.
Wooooooo 311! I used to be on the forums but haven't had time recently. Definitely ride dragster, you won't regret it! The speed is amazing and you won't even notice the hill.
not even close millennium force has won the golden ticket award since 2000
I guess this is something that can be suppressed because after riding nearly 200 different coasters I swear my heart rate doesn't change at all on the lift hill, and if it stopped at the top of the hill for a while I could probably take a nap
they make this ride seem so terrifying and you think you are going to die but seriously. I went on it and it was awesome

There is no bad seat. But row 5 doesn’t give you more airtime. Try the back few rows. It’s even more insane.
I have rode every where and yes the front is great, but the middle of the back is by far the better seat. You get much more air time in the middle, and in the back you get better speed especially going over the drops.
I can a test to that. The last time I went to Cedar point was on my 21st birthday. And did the seat test suggested in this video. Kid, you not, best air time of my life, and I was high as a kite every time I come off of riding it. The guy at the end is not bluffing when he says the 5th car is the best seat on the coaster.
I didn't scream on this ride, i ket my head down the whole entire time.
I rode this in 2011! And now Ten Years Later almost to the day, I will be going back to ride all the coasters in 5 days as many freaking times as I can! This will be my last blast because of severe arthritis! I'm a New Jersey Six Flags Great Adventure guy, but I never had a two-week vacation remorse except at Cedar Point!!😊😎🙂😃😁 I Am 🙏 For Short Lines!

In my opinion TTD is is a much much better ride because of the on ride/off ride experience, unlike Kingda Ka.

My favorite roller coaster ever so far!
Middle seat on Millie is best for air time, front seat is best for visual fear on the first drop, the rear is best for feeling of speed over the hills...this is my opinion.

As long as there are no heart conditions, and height requirements are met, there is no threat of safety to anyone on any coaster. They're all equipped with sooo many sensors and other safety mechanisms, it's virtually impossible for something to go wrong on a coaster due to the coaster itself.

I feel like if I showed this video to my nephew (who hasn't ridden a coaster yet) would suck the fun out of it as it is that near death feeling, that makes the experience, worth it!

I was there Yesterday and it was my first time ever on roller coasters haha I 'be riddin all of them but after the 3rd or 4th ride it wears out pretty fast!

I rode all the coasters there a couple years ago. Except the Millenium Force.. Last day there two people got sick and we left early.. I was almost in tears.. I will be there in 3 WEEKS!
i agree with you because it's a lot longer! and you're not shooting up the hill really fast like KK and TTD. but i love the millennium, its so much fun, my favorite coaster.

Agreed. I think when Intamin designed TTD it was the ideal speed and height. Six Flags just wanted to push it. Intamin was probably thinkin' well as long as you're payin' us and we can make it safe OK lol The theme & launch SFX of Dragster is more fun. And most importantly it's a smooth ride and does not have OTSR's.You can see Millennium Force and Sandusky Bay. And you can sit in grandstands and watch it. And I know a guy who's pushed it over when it's been stuck. And I could tell you more ; )
gun714thc Thnx for posting this video. I wanted to show it to someone. I have the tape but no way to get vids online anymore. Camcorder broke! I also know one of the guys who does what Mr. Heiser is shown doing. They also change the proxy sensors in the middle of winter on that hill. And inspect it in 43MPH winds with 56MPH gusts! All in the name of our safety.

I rode this 7 times and still not satisfied and that's why I love to keep riding this!!!! it's awesome I also go to the coaster in VA called the itiminator 305 but Millennium force has to beat all!!!
MF is like butter... so smooth, and despite the nearly inverted first hill, it's not as scary as one might think.

Who cares what is voted where. A roller coaster lover is a lover of all, and a true one likes each coaster for specific reason. All of them are my favorite!

0:06 idk if its just my bad eye sight but when i went to cp that monster hill (not the drop, next to it) is taller than the rest of the rides. thats pretty insane!

Everytime I go I never get on it but my friends do and I wait over by Iron Dragon, going tomorrow maybe I will ride it this year idk, hopefully I wont get sick like I did last time!
