Thanks to Airumu's help, I was able to fix the death loop in both level 7 and 19's secret areas. Download Links in the description are now updated with the fix.

As a kid, I was confused about why there was no underground area in Gee Wiz like the trailer (plus a bunch of other things). An old mystery solved!

I remember finding those crates when playing around with the camera back when the alpha build was first released that October. It never once crossed my mind to think it was leftovers from the underground bonus!
It is weird to have technology in the medieval times, even if Cortex is taking over time. That is probably why the bonuses are set by the castle wall. It would be cool if the early bonus would be used in a different level, and in even in a different Crash game.
Man, I really wish we had this build with the uderground bonus lab, I actually really like that idea. Fits perfectly with the robots that are being made in the secret warproom.
Holy moly! This is the closest we can get to that bonus part as of now, I didn't go check around cause I felt a bit hopeless about finding that bonus part, this is awesome! I wonder if one day we'll have access to that bonus part as a whole.
What the fuck? I don't understand why Naughty dog did that. The first bonus looked great, I was waiting for that in the final version. So, I'm so interested to can play with that bonus. Amazing dude!
i think that's because the bonus was out of theme with the rest of the level, and honestly, it has a very crash 2-ish feel to it, idk if it's just me, but with a changed environment, maybe making it look like a medieval dungeon or something, it would have been a great bonus level imo
We got this build, so I think (I hope so at least 😂) we will get the build with the futuristic bonus in Gee Wiz eventually 💪
THANK YOU SO MUUUUUUUCH for the word "Alpha" in the video title, coz despite the fact i'm not playing the same version you used there, the "code" worked on the Alpha Demo i'm playing and now I can control the camera and enter the secret warp room!
You don't need to use the camera cheat to enter the secret warp room, you need 13 relics to unlock it and every level is available right away (level 26 in alpha is hot coco, which is called ski crazed, while the final version of ski crazed didn't exist in the alpha)
@@AntonioO1996 yeah i was watching a longplay of it and the guy suddenly noticed the secret warp pad, after collecting 17 relics, we were wondering at what point it would unlock, coz i had 10 and nothing, so 13 huh? That's cool, I've downloaded a different ISO for it so i'm gonna collect everything again and check that out then.
@@ChrisLP25 i got an iso that includes a mod that lets you access the proper areas for level 27 and 29, you can download that if you want too, so you can visit those levels as well, just swap the iso any time (yes, even mid-game) when you wanna access those 2 levels specifically (yes, it even changes the spawn area for level 7 and 19, so only swap the roms if you want to access those 2 specific locations). @@AntonioO1996 LOL of course i don't need to use the camera cheat, WTF!!! But the code i used unlocks 3 things, UNLOCK ALL LEVELS, GIVE ALL, and FREE CAM, you can manually select each, but i used the code coz i had 10 relics and i thought i wouldn't be able to enter the secret warp room.
@@AntonioO1996 that'd be something truly awesome! Too bad we couldn't go the normal secondary path for those two levels.
whoa! so originally the bonus stage was going to take place below the Time Twister! That means canonically you're not time travelling, the time twister is generating pockets of the past for you to go through! I wonder why they changed the setting of the bonus stage. Maybe because it conflicted with the story somehow?
I highly doubt that in a platformer they worried much about that, it was probably because it was out of theme compared to the level
@@AntonioO1996 They cared enough to create story continuity. They cared enough to create the Time Twister and an antagonist the dabbles in time. If story canon wasn’t an issue they would have made Crash like Mario. The same story over and over.
interesting theory but wasn't the point of going back in time was to grab the crystals before they were even discovered in the first place? i always figured since the original crystals and gems in the second game got evaporated after being used to fuel n brio's laser and that was the purpose of going back in time to retrieve them again before they found their way on the wumpa islands it would be weird for them to "generate" the crystals from what it sounds like if they can just make them themselves

Probably textures and collision are in that area but not loaded if crash is not near (like all other area)so to discover need a gameshark code that allow infinite multiple jump

Sucks that there was no playable version of this game with the underground bonus still intact.
There is, it's out there, the E3 demo version, someone probably has it stashed somewhere and it's only a matter of them finding it and dumping it, so hopefully it will happen at some point

The gee wiz demo found in european demo discs has 93 crates because they had finally removed the old bonus' crates at that point. It's dated august 17th 1998.
how do you rotate the camera? i can only move to the sides and up or down. EDIT > Nevermind, i found it, T,F,G,H moves the camera around, I,J,K,L rotates the camera, U,O moves forward and backward - Y, P inclines the camera left and right. What is weird is that these hotkeys have nothing to do with the emulator or the controller whatsoever, it's binded to the PC keyboard itself, programmed into the game.
I can guarantee that those are the buttons because it's your setup to play on keyboard
@@AntonioO1996 nlo, that's precisely what i carefully explained, i have unbinded all the keys from the keyboard on the emulator, and configured them to the joystick, but after enabling the code for free camera, those keyboard keys were still the ones that move the camera around, mind that the game was made in a computer, so Naughty Dog programmed this camera bindings to the keys of a PC keyboard ONLY.
@@ChrisLP25 Sorry for the late reply. The camera controls are bound to controller 2, so whatever keys you bound to controller 2 on the emulator
