I travel to Poland in 27 days and today is my first day with the language. My goal is to spend three hours per day with the language, learn the 100 most common phrases, 30 most common verbs & conjugations. I will also do a lesson daily with a native speaker. I am an experienced language learner but this is a crazy challenge for sure. I wish to be able to be polite while in Poland and say basic things. Wish my luck and thank you so much for your wonderful channel.
You are great! I’ve been married to a Poland born woman now for 6 years. Unfortunately, living in the states I don’t really need to know Polish since she and all her friends speak English but they usually speak in their native tongue when they’re together. Now we’re seriously thinking of moving to Poland next year. Now I need to learn! What you’re doing is so helpful I know I will be speaking Polish in no time. You’re awesome!
Glad to be back learning Polish with my favorite teacher of all times. If you ever come to Central Florida, would love to meet you in person. You always put a smile on my face with every lesson.
I'm so glad I found you! I'm in Poland now, and searched intro to Polish and clicked on the first video. They just spoke normal speed, didn't break anything down, and didn't give me time to repeat. I'm an English teacher myself, so I switched off after just 1.5 minutes. This is what I'm looking for!
Dziękuję! I always learn from your videos. My wife is Polish and I'm trying to level up my language skills before we return to Poland in May. For me, speaking Polish is like tap dancing in your mouth while speaking English is sorta like slogging through the mud. It's hard for me to transition between the two. These videos are really helpful daily practice when I can't make the time to get through a Memrise course. It would be super awesome if you could talk about past tense, present tense, future tense. The changing word endings have been my biggest challenge in speaking and comprehension.
I have been to Poland twice, now. My last visit, I have used a few of your useful phrases to guide me along on my adventures. “Gdzie jest toaleta?” This one very useful! Dziękuję ci bardzo!
I have many polish friends here in the UK. I'm from a Pakistani heritage so naturally I teach them swear words and they teach me. I've been to Poland many times and absolutely loved it! However I'm thinking of starting a UA-cam channel as well and I need to learn polish for It. You have been so helpful, thank you!
*I KNOW SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE SOOOO HELPFUL!! It would help SO many people with their polish:* I, and SO many people I know, struggle SO much with the cases. Could you be so kind and make a video(s) where you explain in what situations the words change cases? And when you use words like "the SUBJECT is always(?) in nominative" can you explain how to identify the subject or the object and things like that in the sentences? This would be SO mega helpful, thank you in advance for your consideration! I love your videos!
My English teacher is from San Diego as well. He says it's the finest city in the USA and local people don't tell it to anybody. Yet he says it to anyone he meets. 😂. Anyway, great lesson Ewelina, I'm currently living in Poznań, Poland. Your lessons are truly amazing 👍💕
Thank you miss ewelina.. really! I am happy to learn polish language and your video really help me a lot. I was planning to go to poland to work. Thank you again and God bless you more.
I may have skipped over it but do you have any videos with phrases/words that can be used in a workplace? I've applied to work in my local polish store and I'd love to know some basics that I may possibly need to say to customers, colleagues or even a boss or just stuff I might hear within the work place, if this video doesn't exist already then maybe one day can if you have time! 😊🌻
Can you do something related to driving? like, ive gone through the lessons on speaking directions, but i mean maybe something like different types of vehicles, something about road signs etc. Thanks in advance :) :)
Hi. Maybe you can make a lesson about words you encounter when taking gas in Poland. Most Polish people working at gas stations do not speak English, or any other language. The highway from Poznan to Warszawa included.
The word "Chcę" and variations has me confused. To me, it sounds like the first "c" is silent, but I've read it's not. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated! Dziękuję!
As you might have noticed, in polish they don't ever use "H" on its own in any words, but "CH" appears a lot together. And "Ch" is pronounced like "H". So you could almost say that C is silent together with H, yes. Hope this helped! 🌷
THANK YOU MISS EWELINA FOR TELLING ME THE RESPONSE WHEN MY FRIEND SAID HAVE A NICE WEEKEND AND YOU SAID SHE REPLIED JIN QUE AH IN ENGLISH TRANSLATION....LOL HE REALLY LIKES THE GIRL A LOT. HE HAS ASKED ME TO ASK YOU WHAT CAN HE SAY THAT WILL MAKE HER LAUGH IN POLISH THAT SHE WILL BE ABLE TO RELATE TO IN POLISH AND HE WANTS TO BUY HER CHOCOLATES BUT WE CAN'T SEE ANY LUXURY CHOCOLATES FROM POLAND, DO YOU KNOW ANY PLEASE... BY THE WAY, YOUR LESSONS ARE AMAZING AS YOU BREAK IT ALL DOWN SO PROFESSIONALLY BUT IN A FRIENDLY MANNER

Ewalina has an excellent little drill to learn to count. It works for me. Drills for learning the Polish alphabet, and also drills for learning the conjugation of verbs would supercharge my progress. I, Ed Grimley, must say, Lady Ewalina is a most delightful communicator.
I'm not travelling to Poland, I'm from Scotland. I work, and have worked, with a Polish men and women and I would like to show some respect for their heritage and culture. They took the time to learn my language, why not return the favour? lol x
