Thanks a lot! ✨ I was not expecting that after two trips to Norway to see Northern lights, I will be able to see them on the hill above our small town 😀 Nature is amazing, isn't it?
Thanks a lot! ✨ It was an amazing experience. We travelled two months before to Norway to see the Northern lights, and suddenly we had a chance to see them in Switzerland as well 😀
Thanks! ✨It was hard to believe that we will be able to observe it in our latitude… Amazing moment, that hill is above our village 😀 Have you had a chance to see it as well, Kylie?
Many thanks, Martin, for your kind words! ✨ Can you imagine the ultimate combination of Stromboli and Northern lights? I've seen some photos from Iceland - with erupting volcano and aurora above it at night and it was absolutely breathtaking... 🤩 There is a chance that a strong solar storm will repeat in ~two weeks again, once the solar flare will turn towards Earth again.... 👍🏻
Thanks a lot! ✨ It was really a unique experience... Two months ago we visited Norway / Lofoten to have a chance to see northern lights. It never crossed my mind that I will be able to see them from our small town near Zurich 😀 Have a wonderful evening! ✨🙋🏻♂️
Thanks a lot, Sylvia! ✨ It's not Axalp nor other beautiful mountains, but I'm glad that I was able to capture it at least from our hill. Once I found out it was visible even from our viewpoint, I was trying to wake you up 😢
I hear you, Urška 😢 I was planning the Aurora trip with my friend, and he got so tired from the bicycle trip that he decided to skip it entirely. So instead of being in the mountains, I at least went up to the hill and found out that it was visible even above Zürich. So lucky that I captured at least some shots and a little bit sad that I missed filming it from the darks in the mountains... I will ping you next time when it will be happening 👍🏻 There is still a chance as the solar activity will be peaking this and next year...
@@JaroslavBengl ah bummer. If those city shoots were great, I can imagine the mountain shoots would be even more spectacular. That would be great, so kind of you. ☺️
@@SlovenianGirlAbroad There is a website which predicts it reliably three days ahead… We need kP level 8 to see it from Switzerland 🇨🇭 It is rare, but it can happen… Have a great evening, Urška ✨🙋🏻♂️
Thanks! ✨😀 It was really unexpected - I've traveled with my friends to Norway to be able to see the Northern Lights twice and was never expecting that I would be able to see them from our home village 😅 Nature is genuinely the magician 🪄
Thanks! ✨ Have you seen them in Poland as well, my friend? I was not expecting that they will be so well visible in our area, otherwise I will be in the mountains in some dark area... 😂 But when I saw that people were able to see them in New Zealand, and later in Slovenia, I realized I've made a big mistake and went at least on the hill above our small town 😀
@@robodrone5662 That is strange, it was visible in Czechia and Switzerland... Did you had a cloudy sky? You need to check it first with the mobile phone - which is way more sensitive to it than our eyes. There is a chance that that solar flare will produce aurora again in ~1 week or so... Here is the forecast... If it will be at the level kp8 or higher, it will be visible in Poland easily. Last one was kp9 (maximum level) www.swpc.noaa.gov/communities/aurora-dashboard-experimental
Well done. The very active sunspot region 3664 is coming back from behind the Sun. It may produce again a big coronal mass ejection towards Earth in the next 1-2 weeks. Charge the batteries and format the memory cards.
Thanks a lot once more for your help! 👍🏻✨If there is a chance to have it repeated, I'll be ready! 😀 I already on that May 10th checked many high-elevation areas, where it will be possible to get to, but this time many mountain passes will be already open. So it will be possible to be in dark areas and enjoy it fully! 🌌 Looking forward to the next astro/space moments! Also later this year a comet should be clearly visible... Our next adventure will be to take a good timelapse of the Milky Way - hopefully during the June 8-9 when the moon will be dark.
Wow!)
