What size bag do you use for for potting in year 1? Is that 1 gallon or bigger?

The best time to remove the grafting tape is approximately 5 to 6 weeks or when you see the new growth tips started to push out 2 to 3 inches and make sure the grafted joint heal properly. Keep on growing 🌱🌲🌿☘🍃🌱✅#graftingtactick

I'm interested to know what rootstock these where grafted to, do you still have that info?

Maybe use canes for straight growth of your scionwood. Have you been removing cell growth like that for some years? I'm interested in the results.

I have always done it this way, within a couple of years it creates a straight whip and you can't tell where pruning cuts were. I will try and post a picture of a tree a few years after grafting
This method also means you can get a lot more grafts from a stick of scion
