latinpianist: Sometimes, posting video clips on UA-cam, to inform and help people could be a thankless job. (As seen by that negative "dumb" comment). However, this is one person (ME) appreciates what you have done. THANK YOU!
Thank you man. Literally been looking for a couple years for a channel with this type of latin piano for church coritos and just in general. Appreciate man!
Thanx for the great help. I am a guitar player changing to piano. I guess the hardest thing is trying to get my 2 hands playing different rythmns. U did it!! I will too!! THANX
Thank you so much for doing this! I have been wanting to learn how to play salsa but havent found anything free or easy enough to follow, your videos are very clear and make it easy to learn, 5 stars!!! Dios te Bendiga hermano y viva la musica!
God Bless You Bro... Just had a few minutes to take a looksie at your videos... Awesome, you sound like a true Rican playing that salsa! Thanks for being a blessing to many.
I seguiere poniendo videos. Guente como tu me inspiran mas a seguir poniendo.
this is a great way to learn the piano. awesome job. as you know i've wanted to play, but it looks confusing. but you taught it so that people like me can play. anyways.. great job. keep them coming. God bless.
wow. me alegro por tu feedback. Dios te guarde a ti. A lot of people go wondering around other sites not finding anything that teaches them how to play salsa. i use to do it until i decided to teach it so others wouldnt suffer like i did. GOd bless
hey thanks for your opinion. love to hear that people like my videos even though they are not as pro as others but im going to come up with a project this fall. more videos more tutorials and more guides for piano playing.
Latin music is very cool! Love it. I think I am going to go and practice those Latin beats, and see if this is possible on the Chordboard. It may be just a piano thing.
amen. thanks. i have enough trouble teaching the right hand without people not understanding. the bass is another world since you have to play two way different things on both hands. but i know where you are coming from.
J.C. I Love your video Sir! your patience and the way you take the time to really show where each finger goes to make the chord complete is awsome. I want to learn to play SALSA ROMANTICA Like the music of Jerry Rivera and Marc Anthony. I am a begginer and need your help Sir. I am a Jehovahs Witness and my labor of love is produceing original music to my lyrics and follow my voice with the music. basically I am a salsero. Now I just need to learn how to play by ear.!!! do u hav a video I canbuy?
latinpianist, thanks for the tutorial. it really helped me out. you need to relax, though. start by keeping your leg still wile explaining, or maybe not taking negative comments so seriously as i see below. thanks again.
Gracias primeramente. A tu pregunta, Si tienes razon.
thanks alot, im a latin bass player that loves salsa so i kinda mess with the piano after the gigs and stuff, but i only know like one latin beat. i don't have a piano of my own but it's fun to know =p thanks
hello. thank you for your comment. Im glad you ejoy what im doing...about your question, well, did you mean where could you place the note B G F D or the chords B G F D?
Gracias hermano y sigue adelante. Eres nuestro profesor preferido. Abrazos.
Great, i'm subscribing right now... looking forward for those spanish tutorials.
Congratulations on the video. But I did not understand how to play both hands together . Could you post a video showing step by step how to play both hands together . Thank you !
i like to improvise so i dont feel the need to practice even though i have lots of mistakes while i record but i like to keep bring everything from "scratch". Thanks though
thanks for your honesty. as for my lessons, ill keep on making them horrible. thats why i get so much good feed back. you are among the 1 out of 500 people that comment bad. your comments are HORRIBLE!!! bAD BAD BAD BAD
playing with both hands at the same time is the hardest part of this video. It takes time. I didnt get it right away. Keep practicing...It took me months to get it to where i can play it with my eyes closed.
No Dadee3. I know all of my scales. I dont think you get me right. The reason why I transpose is so i can TEACH the piano with Cmaj so then later my students can change them around with other notes. Of coarse as my students get better, I introduce them to the black keys. I can read music and everything. And when im off the camara i use other chords and stuff. God bless...
Just super friend !! Two questions for you. 1). Even if you are playing in a band, would you still have to do the base part? I'm thinking if there is already a base player why must the piano player do that part as well. I look at salsa pianists hands and it doe'nt appear as if they are doing the base part. Would you do the tumbao part with both hands then? 2) Do you recomend any Method book with excercises to improve with the technical aspect of this music. Thank you.
I have a question on this piece, how do you play both hands together? You don't elaborate on playing both hands at once. I know what to play for each hand individually I just don't understand how they correspond. Thank you for your attention.
How? Well, with practice and great fingering skills that you develop as you practice. God is good. He can help you. Thank you for your compliments bro. They help me a lot.
hey, i have been trying to play this, but in the video, you teach it different than when you play it in the beginning. how do i play it so that it sounds like what you were playing?
No falla...
what kind of piano do you have....look for a transpose button or utility button. then ill let you know more when you tell me what kind of piano you have
Yes, it is transposed... A metronome may have been useful as well for this demo... Good left - right hand independence though...playing the bass line in left hand is tricky for the beginner...
Thanks for watching my videos. Please subscribe for more!!

Thank you.
Great. Where do you go to church?
thank you. im glad you could find my videos.
it was a mistake. my piano's transpose feature saves even when you turn the piano off. its a roland thing.
Thank you generous musician. Cheers!
Do you have a video of this lesson teaching how to play both hands together ? If you would like to know how to watch this video. Thank you !
im glad you liked it
Nice lesson, thank you. What is the website you mention at the beginnig of the video ? Thank you.
Yeah this teaches you step by step. Thanks
you are a blessing too thanks
hey, i have been trying to play this, but in the video, you teach it different than when you play it in the beginning. how do i play it so that it sounds like what you were playing?
No falla...
What is the tone you have there? Have you got a guitar or harpsichord doubled on it? It's very bright and punchy.
God bless you too. amarte solo a ti salsa style?
what kind of piano do you have....look for a transpose button or utility button. then ill let you know more when you tell me what kind of piano you have
Yes, I figured you would'nt do the bass part.
What would you do with the left hand then. Same as right?
thank YOU for watching. Im glad you learned.
Im glad you found it.
Yes, it is transposed...
A metronome may have been useful as well for this demo...
Good left - right hand independence though...playing the bass line in left hand
is tricky for the beginner...
Thank you Jeanette
thanks for the advice
