  • Some strange things happened on my second trip to The Mothman Festival (2024)! I traveled from NW Ohio to Point Pleasant WV for the festival, and even met up with Charles Humphries, the reason behind the Mothman statue and one of John Keel’s friends.
Views into The Mothman Museum, river walk, Mothman statue, shopping, and the West Virginia Ghostbusters.
*I’ll be posting the full length video of the song and dance on my FB page, so stay tuned!

I enjoyed your video. Sorry I missed you. I'm one of the is original Mothman witnesses in 1967.

What an awesome experience! I'd like to go sometime. I do believe. I literally laughed out loud when you grabbed your boyfriends butt!! In our family, when you stick your finger where the sun don't shine, is called a diggy. Hahahhaaa! Thanks for taking us along! ✌️

@@TaraVanek-ob7cz Oh I bet you’d love it! Yeah, we had some interesting conversations hanging out at Cedar Point last year about some of that stuff. I really enjoy that kind of thing. As for, “my boyfriend” haha… that’s hilarious you do that in your family!

My boyfriend and I are in the background of your video when you’re by the live band. I remember seeing you there and figured you’d post on UA-cam since you were filming. I had taken a photo in front of your Renegade too, not knowing it was yours. I also drive a Renegade and thought it was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing!

@@KaylaTheAdventurer95 Oh fun! I was kind of hoping people there might find my video and see themselves in it. I’m never to vlogging and since I go to some interesting events, I thought it might be fun to start vlogging them. Thanks for letting me know! :) Small World that you got a picture with my Jeep to. I’m happy it made people smile. Are you going to go back next year?

The creator of the Mothman sculpture was Bob Roach. He was selling little replicas at the festival about 15 years ago and I told him the real Mothman didn't look like the sculpture. He exclaimed, "I based it on the cover of the book!" I responded that the second cover was merely an artist's impression and not based on eye-witness accounts. I told him he should have studied witnesses' reports of what it really looked like before he made the sculpture. When I last saw him that day he was looking dejected and holding his forehead. He realized he had messed up and he never sold little replicas of the Mothman statue at the festival ever again. He has since passed away. John Keel lived in NYC, not Pittsburgh like the old man stated. I may attend next year and I hope to meet you.

Bonnie, I have gotten photos of orbs in those igloo ammunition bunkers up at the TNT area. That is where most of the Mothman sightings took place. Three Indian burial mounds were bulldozed flat when the TNT facility was built in 1943. Some feel that is why the place is haunted. I have had some very scary incidents up there. It is no joke, really haunted place!

Poor guy. In a way even though the statue doesn’t look like first hand accounts, it ended up being very iconic.

In Feb. 2009 while in igloo#1 on row7 the air felt real thick and heavy. I heard footsteps just outside the igloo and when I walked outside to see who was there, no one was around. I got a photo of a huge orb from inside that igloo which Rosemary Ellen Guiley said gave her the creeps. She was a famous paranormal researcher and writer who died from pancreatic cancer in July 2019. I have had many other bizarre incidents up at the TNT area. In Sept. 2009 I saw what the Indians call a shimmering. This was a whole lot of heat waves coming out of the ground. When I walked towards it, the waves were all around me and then just disappeared. Your vehicle conking out as you reached town was probably caused by the psychic energy trying to scare you. I will be coming to Point Pleasant in Oct. or Nov. to explore the TNT area with the Frick brothers who are well known Mothman investigators and play the Men in Black during the festival. I will notify you of when we will be coming back and you could join us for a real TNT area exploration. We would treat you like a lady as we are all decent gentlemen.

I was also there and saw you . . . nice costume . . . didn't know you had a UA-cam channel. I also had some weird things happen to me while there. For the previous month or so before i arrived at the festival I had the urge to listen to the song "I heard it through the grapevine." and "Ghostbusters" well i listened to it pretty regularly and when i arrived at the festival i found a vendor that was selling the California raisins figurine. I purchased one of them and about an hour later i decided to take a photograph . . . but to my surprise my phone was gone . . . i retraced my steps all over the festival to places i had purchased items from and then decided to give up on it when i had a "feeling" that i should go back to that particular vendor with the California raisin. My phone was there. . . and then later i went to the Point Pleasant trading company and the Ghostbusters song comes on lol . . . weird stuff is definitely happening in Point Pleasant WV

I'm into the martial arts and meditation stuff and i can verify that everything is energy (which is never destroyed only transmuted) and when you meditate strange things begin to happen.
