This board is one of our founding models, launched back in 2015. It probably is the most distinctive boards of the Borealis line as its Japanese identity can be recognised through its name, its epic-looking bamboo topsheet and graphics, and of course, its riding program.
It is most balanced directional powder shape in the line. Long tip with progressive rocker for efficient lift in powder, wide sidecut combined with Sidewaves for precise and powerful turns on hard snow, short and nimble fish tail for swift, responsive turns in deep conditions.

TIMELESS
The Koi is inspired by Japanese minimalism and culture. Its timeless bamboo topsheet and zen minimalist look remind us how less is more.
DYNAMIC
Equipped with a Durasurf 4001 structured sintered base and ceramic-tuned recycled steel edges with added Sidewaves on a 8.5m radius sidecut, this thing is a katana ready to slice some corduroy.
SMOOTH
Liquid Sidewalls act as a vibration dampener. Combined with the liveliness of the bamboo topsheet, it’s a real symbiosis of comfort and performance.

Hi there! As I may see from your last reviews and from your new 23/24 catalog you refused from women's version of KOI and come to one single version of the board.
Hence the question arises: how different is this board from the female version of the last season? Especially the flex, how it varies from previous versions?

Hello, thanks for the comment. With our move to our new factory, we've had to reduce our offer unfortunately. The flex of the new Koi is similar to that of the previous. Female riders with an intermediate to advance level of riding can nonetheless enjoy it for sure. One of our team riders (Katia) has always preferred the standard Koi vs Women's Koi as she thought it was more aggressive and stable at high speed.
