Still G had a great amount of good tracks with so anxious being my favorite one of the tracks being released, but this one is timeless imo. #ForeverDeVante

I noticed that Darryl Pearson doesn't get a lot of props too his contribution too a lot of this music. that cat was killing it on the guitars if I'm correct which created a lot of rythm and melody too alot of these tracks, part time lover is a classic and wasnt that him blazin the the gut!!!

Devante didn't produce HANDLE OUR BUSINESS off Tony Thompson solo cd but he did produce the song SLAVE off that cd and he didn't produce the Jodeci song off the MURDER WAS THE CASE soundtrack...That song was produced by Daz but Devante in my opinion is the GREATEST producer to ever do it...Props to Teddy Riley but D. Swing was and still IS the man

In reality, Soopafly produced the song and played the instruments. Daz put his name on it and took all the writer and publishing ownership. DeVante produced the Jodeci vocals. Anything with Daz's name on a Death Row track, 1993-2000, was done with Soopafly doing most of the work and Daz programming the beat. Daz can't play instruments.

Not the real DeVante's private collection track listing. The real album contained a lot of unreleased songs from all the people who left DeVante (Ginwuine, Missy, Playa, etc). Ginuwine didnt even want this song released. It was one of his demos that he didn't want to publicized.

Teddy Riley And Devante are contemporaries. Teddy debuted with Guy in '88. Devante debuted '91 with Jodeci. they were almost the same age, so how can u say Teddy is the musical sire of Devante. and they had different styles, and JDC's "Forever my lady" was way better than Guy's Album. even in the new jack swing department.

Several years ago on ebay I was lucky enough to get an original pressing of this disc. BTW: since the people are demanding that DeVante make his return....There is another DeVante produced track on this CD.
He did loads of non Jodeci songs. Half of Al B Sure Sexy Versus was produced or co produced by D. One worth checkin from that joint was Turn You Out. He produced tracks for Father MC, Tony Thompson, Mary J Blige, H Town, Jeff Redd, Christopher Williams and 2 PAC. He fully produced an album by Missy Elliot's first group SISTA and reportedly was working with Madonna around the time she dropped Ray of Light. He also did a track with Aerosmith believe it or not.

@timfosho He was referring to those minimalist stutter-type beats on those songs, the ones that later made Timbaland famous. You can tell the songs that Timbaland influenced, and this isn't one of them. DeVante's style and Timbaland's style were obviously different.

Da Bassment sound was not solely DeVante, or Tim, it was created by all the beat makers of that crew. It was DeVante's vision, and I really wish it was a success.
