I thing Jeff is right about NASCAR Sticking to ovals that work
I went to my 1st and last F1 race in Monaco in 1981. We thought we had good seats, but they were on a Hill side in the bushes and we had traveled a 1/2 day on a French train. We saw the cars flash by only. Two years later I went to a NASCAR race at Bristol and have been hooked every since.
I never appreciated or thought about “quiet track” until now. Truly amazing.
If I get a reed Sorenson reference in any interview..., I'm completely in!!
Good interview
I agree with so much of what he says. Good interview, Kenny!
Another great podcast Kenny thanks buddy
I love this channel
thx!
The “Everyman” sports journalist! Some of my best memories were sitting and just thinking when the speedway is empty (especially sitting around contemplating after races @ Greenville-Pickens Speedway). Tim in northern TN

Jeff thank you for your take on F1. NASCAR is where it's at baby!!
Love ya Kenny
Yet another great interview Kenny!! Great job!!
Ya man, they just keep getting better 🏁🏁🏁🇺🇸🇺🇸
Kenny, another one out of the park. I really like Jeff and I supported him when he followed his wife. I also subscribe to the Athletic because I followed Jeff.
Same here!
Another great interview
Kenny what's your opinion on next gen cars opposed to teams building their own Chassis and leaving the competition to the best car builders thanks Earl
Love it! I love Jeff's work! Any chance of Jeff starting a podcast??
The tear down he and Jordan do is probably as close as get
They have eliminated the need for testing with this new car because it's a spec car .not much to learn.
Those Thursday night practice fans should file a class action lawsuit against F1 for their money back plus damages
Hey hermanator your great too
Hey Walllaceeee
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Kenny, as someone who was born and raised in Southern Calif and now live in the Bay Area, I would rather live where the earthquakes only happen once in a blue moon then in the east or the midwest where they have the Hurricanes and Tornados all the time every year
What the Gluck???
he needs to make it was a good race by race only not by who won. People will vote no by who won no, if they dont like the driver n others vote yes if their driver won. Needs reworded
F1 in america will never rival nascar for everything jeff said here. I dont watch f1 and im disgusted imagine being a middle class fan?
Not sure how/when Formula 1 gained such popularity, but not only is it single-file and boring AF, only 2-3 different drivers are ever projected to win. If NASCAR was single file at Sonoma and Watkins Glen, without any beating and banging or real story lines, combined with only a few different drivers expected to win, viewership would be at an all-time low. Trust me, I've turned the television nob to OFF many times due to NASCAR's boredom and predictability... and I'm very surprised that viewers haven't done the same to Formula 1.
F1 is trendy and flashy, but it’s not racing.

IMO Nascar would be making a huge mistake by drawing any form of influence from F1! That crapshow is garbage!
F1 sucks, nascar's way better
The fans left/are leaving NASCAR, because NASCAR is leaving/left the fans. As a fan of over 40 years, they don't relate to a fan like myself anymore, they made the mistake of chasing this "new fan" before, admitted they made a mistake, yet here we are again. I think they're being led by the networks, and doing what they want, rather than sraying true to the sport.
The fans left nascar because nascar left the fans that made nascar
I know infield camping prices ran off a lot of people and converting most of the spaces for RVs rather than tents has changed the price point for who can afford to go.
