Episode 1-"We want to build up our provinces and avoid fighting more than one war at a time to not get gang banged by the AI" Episode 3-Hatches elaborate plan to have vassal destroyed by declaring war on multiple Imperial clans at the same time, all to lower fame, serving no purpose other than to avoid the realm divide, which will make him imperial vanguard and rally all imperial clans behind him, making the game much easier and avoiding AI gang bang. Me-??????? Just busting your balls Legend, I know you've only gone the Republic route on FoTS before so you had no way of knowing. Still entertaining to watch, FoTS is probably my favorite Total War expansion ever.
If you don't want to spend too much time on naval tech and such, just research explosive shells, then buy the American Ironclad you can get at the foreign trade port in your capital. You can buy two of them as well, unlike the British and French ports, and they're considerably cheaper than the latter nations Ironclads. Together, they're pretty much invincible against other clan fleets Edit: They're a good investment early on. They can beat all the trash wooden ships early on, then you can reinforce them with ironclad level ships when you have more of an economy in the late game to support them
if u want territories without the faction declaring war on you. you could use a police dude to incite a revolt which will take the city with a full stack of spear levy and other crap units
Well, that's something to love about this game. There's more than one way to win. I have watched all of Legend's Shogun content and I know he can beat this game like a red-headed stepchild using no offensive agents at all and nothing but tier 2 line infantry. Still, kind of tragic to see those five agents (all of whom can fuck with public order in a variety of ways) sitting next door doing nothing while Legend pisses his neighbors off the old fashioned way.
I don't know anything about shogun 2. So maybe during the 'boring' endturns you explain something about the mechanics? ^^ I do have the game installed and planning on starting a campaign soon! That makes watching this series extra great! Great content as always! Love the way you explain and attempts to reason with the AI.
@@niekriemens1316 Kinda yes. However shogun 2 is really new player friendly and "easy" to master. I recommend to watch his shogun 2 blitz or normal campaign
when I watch this i get the strongest urge to see a total war game that takes place in WWII. Imagine a war in the pacific campaign.. that would be nice.
dont think it would work, not that late in history so to speak. In WWII they didnt fight like this at all so like i said it would not work unless they change literally the entire gameplay in battles. WWI however it could work a bit more at least in the beginning of WWI later on in the war it also would not work
Hi @LegendofTotalWar i really love you videos and shogun 2. i was looking forward of you playing it. Is it possible to change the ratio of the video. It is hard to read the buffs or description without squinting.

Isn't "Realm divide" a good thing in FoTS?
Instant peace, no more backstabbing.
lol you gotta remember than prior to this campaign I had only ever played republic. I was expecting total backstabs. I was wrong.
Not if you have no navy in legendary difficulty.
Learned the hard way...

Shogun 2 or fall of the samurai?
Shogun 2 only. Are the differences between the two that big?

Cracking series so far.
1:12:05 Lol, poor guy climbed all the way up just to be head shot lmao
A star fort with cannon towers and a barracks can almost take on three stacks with just garrison units

TheKingP I feel like “Total War: Indochina wars” could work, lots of troop and faction variety, could make for some interesting gameplay mechanics.
Im glad you came to your senses and betrayed the imperial non sense. Even temporarily
Buying shogun 2 today. Played most of the decent CA games, anything shogun specific I need to know?
yari wall. use it
@@LegendofTotalWar cheers

Cool
wonder how many people checked their discords
Cool !
Don't claim, you guys are not first.
Your time has pasted old man!
you need a new chair mate
Why don't you lower the taxes to let towns income grow?
If I remember right town growth is pretty slow, I think you are best off to just extort your provinces where possible
legend XD
