Depending on how smart you are, the tone of someone's voice could go right over your head (not realizing when you're being mocked or disrespected) or you can easily pick up on it. That's all.
@Sunshine Snoop may have been relevant then, but Eminem kept his momentum for longer. If Snoop is such a legend, then what other artists has he made tracks with. I can give you a list of Eminem's features; Big Sean, Royce da 5'9", Dr. Dre (obviously), Tech N9ne, Ty Dolla Sign, Logic, Joyner Lucas, his whole fuckin D12 band, Trick Trick, Danny Brown, Kid Cudi, Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne/Weezy, Yelawolf, and Juice Wrld. I know a lot of em are new rappers, but I'm sure if I really took the time and did the research, I'd find a bunch more of older artists he's done songs with as well. Point is, his shit isn't "pop", he just doesn't waste his time making up words like shizzle and sitting on his ass smokin weed and doing a cooking show with Martha Stewart.
You obviously don’t know the actual story of Eminem! Interscope a&r team “discovered” Eminem at a Jack the Rapper event. Dre had to be convinced to take a chance on Eminem. He had little choice as his label Aftermath had virtually had no success since it’s inception in 96. And the rest is history. And Snoop had parted ways with Dre since 96. Anyway I think Snoop was disrespectful (although truthful from my perspective) about his views on Eminem. I grew up on late 80s and 90s hip hop..and I’ve never had Eminem in my top ten either..and many other hip hop fans don’t either. But it’s subjective…you like what you like!✊🏾

Dropping hints in interviews about rap now days and trends he hates, pretty much talking shit about eminem's style without saying his name; started getting more obvious after Rap God came out. Snoop has a slow as generic pothead flow and so he gets mad when compared to people like eminem online. Really pisses him off that he can't speak quickly. He just needs to relax, not every artist can do everything. Snoop's in the slow lane and he just needs to accept that. He's like the black Ellen Degeneres now, just shows up for no reason on tv shows
@@MadoushiLegion I'd say he's never really digged on Eminem in any kind of way even from way back in the day. I think he feels that Em just didn't belong in that camp, didn't belong in that life, didn't belong anywhere close to what he felt was exclusively a G thing and a West Coast thing, a hood thing. But he felt he couldn't say anything about it because Eminem just blew up so hard so fast and Dre was so instrumental in it. There was just nothing Snoop could ever say about it at the time. Now it's coming out. I think Snoop's never had any kind of love for Eminem. You can sort of tell from videos from back then of that crew hanging out and whatnot, Snoop was never feeling him being in the set.

@@romievtvandpublications5495 with a lot of patience, I was able to read what you said, so let's go: Em went at Benzino by himself and there's no Sauce now, huh? 50 and Dre got involved after bc Benzino dragged them into this, not the other way around; Can-I-bitch was lyrical and he's dead too (that wasn't all Eminem, the idiot dissed LL Cool J too); Em didn't just go at pop artists, man. He was a battle rapper from the beginning. I understand being mad he took a lot of attention from black artists bc that pisses me off too, but you can't exactly blame it on him, he doesn't own magazines or a tv chanel, he has a radio station like several others. Saying he's the best or not that's an opinion, in mine he's only behing LL Cool J, but you can't deny his lyricism, flow, creativity and longevity. Most of the OG's basically retired, they just don't adapt. Em has been changing with the game, making lyrical rap still a thing. Old beats and styles are good but things need to adapt to survive.
