Oh My I Love that. Great job. I hope I know everything you used from pants to the brushes. I have a huge head and foot board to do but I am NOT a painter. So wish me luck. 🤍🤍
Thank you so much. I haven't been painting for awhile my furniture resale on chairish has been keeping me super busy plus its way to hot right now to paint but I have lots of pieces ready for a transformation. I'll be back soon.
No sanding, but if you want to thats fine as well. Just make sure you don't have any gloss finish that needs to come off. Amy howard has a cleaner I use that works great.
Search after search for a DIY. Still no luck. I have a headband VERY similar, but taller. I want to add upholstery. Not to the curved framing but just the flat surface area that you did gray. Using your great paint ideas, I want the trim to be a faded worn off transparent green with whispers of super frosty metallic gold highlights. If that makes any sense. So do all that to this bed when you're finished. Okay? 😁😂 No clue about what order to apply the colors or achieve the gold hue. Add super fine gold glitter to clear wax? I'm so overwhelmed with the entire project at this point 😔 Guess I just need to keep searching.
the gold is just a gold metallic luster I found at hobby lobby in the paint section and its a small little jar for 6 bucks or so and I apply it at the end with my finger in areas I want hints of gold. Then seal with a wax. Its super easy
Hi there. So you dont have to sand it? I'm painting a very heavy vintage pure wood headboard tomorrow a chalk cream color. Do I have to sand it first? Can I just clean it and paint it??

Absolutely gorgeous! I really enjoy your videos, thank you!
Thank you so much.
Did you have to sand it down before painting??
No sanding, but if you want to thats fine as well. Just make sure you don't have any gloss finish that needs to come off. Amy howard has a cleaner I use that works great.
Gorgeous 😍
Very pretty. Wonder how it would look instead of that blue to use a rusty color?
That would look good too. you really can't go wrong with any color.
Is that a liquid wax that you’re using at the end? What kind of wax is it? Thank you very much
Hi, it's annie sloan dark wax and clear wax mixed together and if to dark I use her white wax with steel wool.
What other kinds of paint can I use? I’m in Mexico and my options are limited. Thanks
You can use any latex paint if you don't have chalk paint. Flat paint or satin
What is your ratio of water to paint?
I just eyeball it, maybe 1/4 c of water to a couple dabs of paint from brush to thin it out

No sanding just clean off I always use Amy Howard’s clean slate then paint, super easy
Oh dear!
She kinda looks like a young Sally Struthers
Can't hear
terrible result, became a piece of junk.
I do not care for that at all.
