In this detailed 3D rendering tutorial, we dive deep into the art of digital illumination with Vray. We learn how to set up multiple light sources, including dome, interior, garden, accent, underwater, and column lights, each adding a unique depth and texture to our scene. We experiment with adjusting light intensity, converting objects to mesh light, and balancing colors to achieve the desired effect.
However, the real magic happens when we introduce the concept of a light mix, a smarter way to manage our lights. With light mix, we can adjust the individual lighting elements in real-time post-rendering, allowing us to fine-tune our scene without the back-and-forth adjustments. We get to witness a sunset scene transform dramatically as we play with various light sources, making it brighter or dimmer, and even introducing new color tones.
Lastly, we delve into correctional layers, using exposure curves and color balance to further enhance our image, showcasing the power of light mix and correctional layers in creating stunning, realistic 3D scenes.
