watching Jake doing pve stuff is so entertaining, lesgooo!
@@SolxrSeven It’s crazy how people can’t even enjoy watching their favorite youtubers without losers calling them dick riders.
16:57 Me too, Jake... I grimaced watching that Double Supplicant explosion. That's generally a recipe for instant death.
18:34 Can't help but smile hearing you say this. I know some traits carry over from PvP, but it so applies to Solo stuff. Play it safe over going for broke unless you know it'll pay off. Would've been amazing to see you get the 4-phase, but I'd always take a safe run with an extra damage cycle than a highly risky one.
For not knowing the wire locations, your survival skills really paid off. Who says PvP talents can't translate over? Instincts matter a lot, regardless of their origin. That's what matters a lot, on top of possessing the knowledge to pull off this kind of run.
Ignore the toxic crowd for PvE; people love to say it's contained to just PvP, but it's not. I'm just someone on the internet who appreciates watching others do this sort of thing, however difficult it is. I suppose while I'm here, even if it isn't asked for (and maybe not appreciated, but I like giving tips where I can), I should also give some tips to anyone who happens to read this! If you don't want to run Witherhoard (which I personally don't), an alternate to DoT application is Osteo Striga. Its catalyst also lets it function very well for eyes against the Harpy boss, and while it requires more shooting, it more consistently gives the poison DoT for more Fusion Grenades. Something else to consider with Demo Rockets: Mix the Snap in! A common fun combo I like to pull is Rocket - Grenade - Snap - Grenade - Rocket if I have it available, to avoid having to keep swapping weapons.
With a new Dungeon incoming next season... well, we've got to be ready for that one to solo! Guess we'll have to inetivtably wait for it to come.
As someone who is a 99% pve player, and also someone who has solo flawless'd all existing dungeons, I'm impressed! It's cool to see you run some pve here and there, I hope to see more! Good shit Jake!
Jake you are the man! PvE is more my jam! A change of pace is nice! Keep up the good work man!
Ngl i used to think jake was annoying but he’s quickly becoming one of my fav destiny content creators and i don’t even play pvp that much. he’s just such a wholesome guy he’s so hard not to like. Great job on the dungeon bro, you did it quicker than a lot of ppl than main pve
Love to see you on more PvE it’s refreshing i love seeing you learn the mechanics and beat the dungeon!
Have not done this one solo yet because I do not want to spend 8 damage phases per Boss. The health should scale. Four damage phases I can put up with.
As someone who JUST got the solo flawless tonight and took like 7 or 8 phases on Pyrses on BEHEMOTH, starfire is so god damn broken wth 😂 literally free 😅
not the hover arming with your keyboard
Sorry man I missed it live, I would have been there to support you I'm really sorry I missed it
You can shot 3 times with this rocket without switching to your special. The Damage over time effect is way longer then one rocket shot. And one rocket+the Dot effect=reset for your grenade. Grenade = Ammo refund for rocket. You could get even more dmg if you try this but you did awesome anyway. Well played 💪🏼
Glad you had a good time streaming PvE you should do it more often imo, especially if you enjoy it
Every player that tries solo content goes through the same phase of realizing that doing solo stuff is more tedious than it is hard.
I got to final boss on my run and realized I hadn’t died yet. I’ve never tried so hard in destiny. Managed to pull it off tho
If you had the trace from season of the haunted, it can be crafted with led from gold. Allowing you to always have amo uptime
for harpy boss, I feel you on the tediousness, since you weren't using primary you coulda jus punched the nodes.
i just finished my solo run a few hours ago. took a lot of time because i had only done it once 2 months ago, learning not a lot of it.
never would expect a Nepenthez meme in a GernaderJake video hahaha
I’ve been watching grenader Jake for 3 years now both on twitch and UA-cam
hey man i allways love to see pvp players play pve and its funn too see how they do ggs on the run
Brilliant effort and great editing
How many damage phases was that?
Good job jake I still haven't done the solo of spire
This is the last thing i have to do as well for my rank 11. Question tho. Does it have to be all in one run or can you go to orbit and come back to your checkpoint and it still count?
Solo runs got to be in one run if you leave for any reason it will not count
Great video. Even better commentary 💯👍
Congrats to the m8s of this guy who constantly carry him on trials
@@vititi_ how does that matter, how can people be carrying him when he has more than EVERYONE by a hell of a lot as well. He has almost 3500 and I think 2nd place is less than 3000.
Congrats Jake! Today I do it on my Hunter in120 min.
Jake why do you keep your fov low
Close to 200k subs lets go jake
Hearing you say I hate this so much is kinda funny to me because that's how I feel when I step into pvp. But I actually love this dungeon
Incase it helps not sure if anyone gave this tip, but if you don't kill the servitors the supplicants won't spawn in the climbing half
Ya did good, Jake. Great damage numbers. Do it on hunter. THATs a challenge!
No kidding it took me a whole 3 hours on my arc hunter to solo SotW and I was raging at the end trying to finish it.
Glad you enjoyed this better (from a community standpoint, not mechanically lol) I really enjoy seeing you do pve content. Just ignore the assholes complaining about builds optimize this and that and shit, they’re basement dwelling weirdos. Good content man.
I need to do this as well made it all the way to the boss solo flawless got him down to one more damage phase and died I know it only solo but I haven’t solo flawless it yet
Dude that thumbnail is awesome.
Interesting that most ppl use a warlock for this solo run. There a message there?
Does rank 11 reset next season?
yes. but most of the achievements are permanent. also if your previous season's guardian rank is higher than what you currently have, it'll display the higher one.
Supporting and uplifting like the destiny community SHOULD be!
I lose patience at the harpy, I always solo the first half of this dungeon and then lfg the 2nd half
Lmao he said “Pro” as if BUNGIE signed him on a 5 year contract 😂
Not having music on should be a crime
The WHY ARE YOU THERE 😂😂😂😂
Fact it's 20 minutes long I'm guessing not or heavily edited
i love watching pvp players do pve content so much
how did he get his rocket launcher to load so fast?
Demolitionist perk on rocket launcher. Every time you throw a grenade it reloads your equipped weapon (Small cooldown between reloads)
lol, PvPer doing PvE
Kidding, but good job on the harpy boss. The two bosses aren't TOO difficult, but the amount of work to get to a damage phase is honestly a pain solo. On a full team with one person dealing with adds it goes a lot smoother, that's for sure. Your damage in the wyvern boss was good. Solo I don't think you can hope for better than three phases, five or six is rather normal.
I still need to get a damn title lmao
you do pve because to be in rank 8 you need to do this dugeon too
Are we still counting this as new
This might be the first time I’ve seen Jake use mouse and keyboard 😭
Not gonna lie, this was the last thing i needed to do for rank 11, and I was always like, ehh i dont really care, and then watched this vid and said well...f it. Lol Rank 11 now 🤙
Red bars are crazy tough
As someone who solos this dungeon several times a week / carries my friends through, I was thoroughly impressed with this! You got mechanics down a lot faster than other people I have seen do this. Now im just waiting for you to attempt the solo GM or Root ;)
@@EELKAO For you and I maybe. It was obviously a little challenging for him and he deserves props.
@@Rockmasterj he honestly does heavily considering he usually does PvP which is 2 completely different aspects of the game
U shoulda done shattered throne it's waay easier I did it on my fifth ever go at it literally only been in there four times themes solo flawlessd it😂
Nice! A dungeon video!
When pvp players complain about how the end game pve community can be toxic 🤓
Jake on mnk having his wrist just float hurts to watch tbh
what does "pro" mean in d2 where a pro scene doesnt exist?
Credit to you I don’t have the Patience to solo this one - but maybe I’ll do it now
I flawlessed it on accident with arc hunter. I tried out solar Warlock and hammer titan, but assassin's cowl arc hunter was the perfect mix of burst damage and invis/healing safety. I had thunderlord for akelous, and grand overture for persys
Dam man I tryed but ended up doin solo in the end due to dying at Persys. Was the last thing I needed to do for wanted anyway
I can’t tell from the thumbnail and title if these videos are click bait or good content (Not sure!)
in response to you getting ragged on for ur fails I feel people these days have forgotten about personal gaming experience. you didn't buy the game to have their experience you bought it for urs so play how u want to.
Jake, idk how you do mnk without a place to rest your wrist 😆
Fresh cut Jake
Well done.
if jake can do it, you can
Jake the cable guy
Pvp master race players doing pve content is like watching a baby bird learn how to fly or die.
Double trace works
I was there \o/
All i wanted to see jake go to the tree and become a glowyboi 😢
Welcome to the remaining 90% of the game, PVP player!
Ayyyyy. Let's get it
Its weird to say this but im only here to watch him suffer or as rhulk would say "drown in the deep "
Wating pvp mains struggle with pve makes me feel less bad about being *dogwater* at pvp. All got our own strengths, lol
Pve yesssss more plz love your content❤
*new* dungeon?
This is the worst dungeon in the game. Most annoying time wasting mechanics ever. Very last thing I did for Paragon and it took me hours between testing different dps builds and getting killed by stupid stuff. Never wanna play this dungeon again
Don’t even have to watch the video. He’s on a warlock lol
Fun fact, you only have to solo the boss
@Johnny Hall was he trying to get wanted or rank 11 i couldn't watch for 3 minutes lol
this idea that ALL backseat gaming is toxic is so wrong, I've seen you get so defensive during pve when people are genuinely trying to help. if you aint gonna accept the help, you'll get mocked for doing it wrong and fucking up
New?
Yeah put together a line of 6 shit if tedious but bring a non gamer blueberry to the lighthouse isn't you weird man but cool anyway
Jake is such a great guy and does so much for the community. Idk why anyone would be a dbag to him. Just be nice or don’t watch!
Solo flawless... cmon man.
my man plays mnk with his arm floating in the air lol get a bigger desk bro
Where is the PVP Pro?
yeah this dungeon blows, almost worse than grasp
stonewall youre a champ
get a wrist rest your hand will thank you. that looks uncomfortable af
this is the most annoying dungeon in the fucking game
This dungeon is by far the worst content bungie has ever made as a company. Literally, everything I hate about this game is present here.
Too easy with a warlock, do it with Hunter.
“New Dungeon” this shit has been out for almost 6 months, it’s not really new
Tht dungeon ain’t new 😂
Using witherhord does not make you pro😂
The PvP in this game can be described as mamy things, competitive isn't even close to one.
There are no "PvP pros" in Destiny 2.
It's all extremely unbalanced an as casual as a pvp mode in a pve game could be. 😂
He plays it for a living so the argument can easily be made that he is a professional whether its competitive or not is irrelevant.
Why do you consider yourself "Pro" don't see any contracts signed 😅
When you're running the double special/heavy loadout, swap to your heavy to get more special to drop. you can tag with the witherhorde then just hold the heavy and it still works.
I still HATE the uncertainty of it. Would rather just run an smg/AR, heck, even pulses after the +20% are way better
Double special is the strongest/best setup 9/10 times. Not utilizing the strength of double special is just voluntarily throwing.
(With exception to exotics and builds, as well as champion stuns that you simply cannot work around)
also having a special with lead from gold is pretty good too
Double special with 1 special finder generates so much heavy
