I'm not sure why we need to replace corn oil and safflower oil and all those other inflammatory oils. Why do we need a replacement for them? Why eat them at all? It sounds as though he wants to make something that can be used in processed food. Perhaps we just don't eat processed foods? Olive oil, avocado oil, ghee, butter, animal fats, these are better options.

The oil controversy is so interesting. On one hand, there are studies showing some improved cardiac outcomes with low saturated defaults oils. OTOH, cancer and inflammatory illness is absolutely off the charts. What we don’t realize is if you are an American, or Western diet in general, you already have a massive linoleic acid load which makes medium term diet comparison impossible. But the gradual and near total replacement of fruit oil with seed oil correlates best to the almost perfect correlation of cancer and inflammatory disease. I am a physician, and the incidence of cancers and inflammatory disease in my 40 years of practice is breathtaking. All in all, I would say stick with olive oil as a mainstay, ghee/butter on occasion, and avoid seed oils. And supplement Omega 3 to offset the huge Omega 6 load you already have in storage. If you wait for perfect science it will consume your lifetime!

Most studies are done poorly. If they aren't done poorly they are probably done with an agenda in mind. It takes a rare group of individuals to get it right (which is extremely difficult to do and won't be done probably 98% of the time) or not have some agenda in mind.
People need to understand that. We are not good at doing studies like that. They are nearly impossible to do right especially when (as most do) you simply go around questioning a group about their lifestyle. It's an absolutely laughable excuse for scientific method. It's not science at all. You need large trials short term and long term. The long term trials are almost impossible to do. The short term trials are extremely difficult. There are WAY too many variables.

Simple rule: eat less, have a stable eating schedule, consume very little soda drinks and low quality processed food. You can eat a cookie, you can have some soda, but make it one cookie or one small glass of soda. Don't have these every day; they are special treats for special occasions. Lots of veggies every day, and some fruits, but much less fruits than veggies. Meat, fish and eggs in reasonable portions. When you have learned a routine, you don't need to count calories or obsess about the latest health recommendations.

Rancid oils smell rancid, they also have a darker colour, if a product says 100% pure or organic it has to be that. If a test was done to check blended oils smoke point that’s a snapshot not a study or the reality.
Knee jerk reactions and attitudes to suit a business venture and demonise seed and nut oils is not being honest. There are some not all oils that are not healthy. Over consumption of unhealthy oils due to eating processed foods, junk foods and eating in restaurants to much are the real dangers.
Cooking and eating healthy food isn’t difficult. Eating healthy oils isn’t difficult either. We do not need more interference to manufacture a modified oil for the greed of a company wanting to manipulate food and label it healthy. It’s no different than pharmaceutical companies and all the food companies that control, monopolise and destroy the health of people.
The hidden danger is this companies agenda not healthy seed oils!

Whenever someone says anything "has ten times less..." so and so, it is the mark of a dishonest or ignorant person. If I have something that contains 100 units of some substance and you claim you have a product that contains "ten time less" of that substance, you are saying your product has negative 900 units of that substance - a claim that must be false - or obfuscatory - or just plain stupid. He did that a couple of times. That means it's a habit and that means it is intentional. When it comes to nutritional "oils", folks, it's very simple - use cold pressed certified olive oil or avocado oil so you can sue the pants off the maker if they lie about the origin or process. Don't use oil for cooking your food. If you must use oil for cooking, use grass fed beef tallow and use it sparingly. I wonder who actually wrote this? and I wonder why Dr. Perlmutter has left it like this on the internet since March because it creates a credibility issue.
Aside from that, I agree that the problems with all these veg/seed oils need to be generally recognized and addressed.

What problem? Correlation doesn't prove anything and when these oils are studied they actually lower inflamation or are neutral from that perspective. This guy on the show is sellng a product so is obviously bias, incredible nonsense without studies named.

I have met some centenarians. Some of them are vegetarian monks, some of them have omnivore diet. They all consume vegetable oil all their lives. Does anyone know any carnivore centenarian? If vegetable oils are bad, then the aboriginal people in the Artic area should have the longest lifespan in the world.

some other youtuber analysed several studies and found, these oils generally dont elevate inflammation markers... and also other influencer with medical backgrounds couldnt find consensus in studies that this would be the case, more like very little inflammation if at all

Conjucture. Opinions. Hypotheses. I will consider it the best use of my time to watch these if these experts back up what they say with facts, research rather than I'm an expert, trust me. Scare mongering by mentioning compounds contained within foods is pretty easy. Here, "don't you have touch an almond without gloves, dispose them immediately since they contain cyanide. ". No less ridiculous than the arguments that i heard here.
