- Supermodel Hailey Bieber, wife of Justin, is revealing she just underwent emergency heart surgery. The 25-year-old says it was related to a frightening mini-stroke she suffered last month. She was rushed to the emergency room, where tests also showed she had a hole in her heart, known as a patent foramen ovale. Hailey says there were other contributing factors to her stroke, including her birth control pills, and a recent bout with COVID-19.
I usually don’t care about celebrity drama, but I hope she’s OK since this is an actual unfortunate medical condition.
Now thats a REAL "condition" i can feel bad for. Hope she gets well soon 🙏. Not these other celebrities with their. "I have an announcement to make.... i suffer from anxiety..."🙄

As someone who suffered from a stroke in my 20's due to migraine and severe stress I can feel for her regarding the stroke. I'm very happy she's doing well now with all the medical issues she's faced recently. I can't imagine the fear of dealing with a stroke then having to have heart surgery not long after. Sending her well wishes.

@@jlovelife4117 So far I've not had another one. It's been a 14 years since I had mine. It has had lasting effects though cause it wasn't treated properly. Sounds like Hailey is getting proper treatment tho so she hopefully will not have issues like I've had.

I don’t think migraines can cause stroke, or they’re VERY rare. (I’m not doubting you, but as a medicine graduate I have never read about this correlation)

I hope she is fine! I almost had a stroke at 21 back in 2008, and months later, I had the same ordeal happen on my 22nd birthday. We gotta do our best to take care of ourselves. Prayers and healing energy to her.
I've has 2 heart transplants (23yrs old and then again at 27 with a kidney) and I'm only 31. People don't think such conditions can affect people so young,but the reality is.. heart disease doesn't discriminate against age.
First was due to a heart murmur (hole in heart) that escalated and second because first transplant rejected. I wish her a speedy recovery and all the best with her health moving forward 💜

I had a heart attack 6 years ago at age 35 so I definitely feel this. It's crazy when these things happen at a young age but I hope she gets to feeling better soon. Scary times we live in.

@@lordfarquaad1701 I had what was called a widow maker. Just simple as blocked arteries. The scary thing was that I had no defining symptoms. I've had chronic heart burn since I was a teen so the heartburn present didn't set off any red flags. I thought maybe I was having a panic attack which I hadn't had since early teens but something just didn't feel right. I never go to the ER unless it's serious and something was off. I actually had my heart attack 15 mins after checking in during an EKG. Had I waited or not gone in I probably would have died as I was home alone when it all started. Not all heart attacks have the same symptoms or any at all so just get your physical get checked out. I never thought I'd have a heart attack so young but it can happen. ♥️ I'm 41 now and battling cancer. I like to think I'm a tough cookie and can make it through anything 🙂
Unfortunately heart disease is the number one killer in women in America. And I think we don’t do enough to inform the public of that so that there can be precautions taken. Thank God you’re OK and wish you a long and healthy life 🙏

This happened to me at 32 years old. Happy to say I have fully recovered! Scariest time of my life. Fixed my heart and I’m back to 110%!

Speaking of heart surgeries, I was also a victim. At just 5 years, I had 2 holes in my heart. One big and one small but thankfully I went through surgery and thank God I'm alive today.

As a young person with health issues I'm always told I'm so young to be sick and on disability, but even young people can get these conditions. I was recently brought into awareness about the birth control stroke risk as well and I kept thinking, my doctor should have told me. She knows I have chronic migraines. It's important to be an informed patient. My cousin had an emergency heart surgery too in his late twenties and he's this very skinny guy. I hope people will listen to this and learn that young people can have serious health issues too.
We know Young people can also cam have defects and disease. This is about finding out she had a hoke in her heart and I've yet to hear her explain to help people, what type of surgery was performed on her heart???

Have experienced the same thing throughout my life as a person with chronic illness and disability. I hate when people tell me I’m too young to be sick come because I have learned from a young age that sickness does not discriminate. I hope we can all be kind to one another and support Hailey with prayers during this time. She has experienced a lot of stress because of Selena Gomez fans and now I hope they stop with any criticism to help keep her stress down.

I am 26 and had a stroke at the age of 21 and people don't believe me and have been ugly towards me cause of it. If only I had support, hope she is okay cause it's scary and life changing.

@@WisdomTooth1987 no I didn't have any symptoms prior to it, I was born with an AVM(arteriovenous malformation). I just had my 21st bday and then a few days later I had a stroke. Was cause by stress from life and being college at the time. Talk about life changing in a moment.

I once met a guy who told me he had a heart attack when he was 18. He was a physically fit thin man who claimed that it wasn't due to any substances. He did say he inherited a very high cholesterol (over 800 at the time of the heart attack)

I had my first stroke when I was 23 years old. Unfortunately my family say I am making this up and they kicked my out of the family. But I and my doctors can prove that I had a stroke. I haven’t seen my siblings (who were my best fiends) since 10 years.

I had a stroke at the age of 28yrs old. I had a septic embolism. Thankfully I recovered and I don't have permanent damage from it. Mine is much different because my was caused from drug use. I was a addict that battled my addict for 13 year's. I was in and out of many rehabilitation center, sober living houses, detox treatments and drug and alcohol programs. I finally got clean and sober over 6 years ago. My clean date is September 27, 2015. I'm so grateful to be a survivor of the disease of addiction. I now help others find there way too sobriety and support and guide them through there recovery process. Because it is a process.

My dad had that too. A hole in his heart and had a few strokes. He got a type of little plastic umbrella inserted into that hole to cover it. I thank God that for the doctors help. I guess it was a new thing he was working on so everything was paid for at no cost to us.
I had a stroke at age 34.. a left vertebral artery dissection. I had the worst left sided neck pain, left sided headache, and an earache that felt like i was stabbed with an icepick. I couldnt move my head from side to side either. It thought i slept funny and pinched a nerve. I let it go for 3 weeks and eventually i had the stroke. I couldnt talk, see out of my left eye, and i couldnt walk for about 20 mins after i woke up having the stroke. I couldnt breathe either, and my left arm and leg were numb.. i ignored it for 4 hours and went back to sleep, but when i woke up my symptoms only got worse so i went to the ER and thats when it was found that the dissection caused a stroke in the posterior part of my brain..
Pls dont ever ignore weird head and neck pain. If i had gone to the hospital weeks before they would have found the dissection starting and could have admitted me and put me on my blood thinners. I am very lucky, no lasting effects other than numbness.. however, over 60% of ppl with this type of dissection dont live thru the stroke, so i was very very lucky to not leave my husband and 5 kids without a wife and mother.

My son has a arterial ischemic stroke in the left basal ganglia of his brain at three years old. This was in 2016. He also had a PFO which is not consider a “defect” because ~30% of the population have PFO. His was closed for preventative measures in 2019.

I was born with a hole in my heart, had two operations and have a stent in. I’m undergoing tests to see if I need a third operation these days. It’s definitely a scary thing. Hope she recovers soon ❤️🩹

Praying for her recovery!! I know these vaccines have been causing people to have heart problems. This really needs to be addressed. I used to work at a vaccine site and have had to transport people to the hospital for heart problems. This isn't a "conspiracy theory" it's real life.
