The detail in the layering of instruments and samples in this track is nothing short of INCREDIBLE. 1:35 into the track Bloodpop has sampled people dancing and talking in the background to fill the pre-chorus and I’m absolutely here for it. Even the added strings towards the end to enhance the outro. What an incredible track and producer.
I’m a big fan of Michael Tuckers production style too. The backgrounds are so innovative yet also simplistic. He is great And very young! This was the first album he got lead producer credit for!! He surprised her by being front stage at her LA Chromatica tour date.
That is just your subjective opinion. From an objective standpoint it is actually nothing musically innovative or particularly spectacular. Try ABBA, Max Martin and Quincy Jones. The arrangement is just the standard layout with a dance music style.
