Previous comments about not drying out (for weeks or months at a time) is right on! It’s been my experience as well. Mine, both Eco and the Swipe, are nice and wet, juicy writers! Terrific quality just like Brian says in this video.

My Eco is still the most enjoyable pen I own. Not only is it stunning in translucent blue, it writes like a dream! Medium nib is smooth and wet, exactly how I like it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to just about anyone.

Can approve.. I have Eco and Diamond.. Huge ink capacity, very smooth writing, excellent workmanship, lot of accessories, never dry off as my Parker urban (when I do not use it a day).. Even I started use it for ink drawings, and my TWSBI like it as well😉 I just do not know what that letters mean.. Thank you for video!

My TWSBI Diamond 580 Smoke Rose is my absolute favorite! (I get so many compliments and curious looks at work when I take it.) As a fountain pen beginner, this is the one that did it for me, that sold me on using a fountain pen daily for journaling. It's so easy to use, smooth to write with and holds so much ink. Plus, the ink flow is always consistent. Now that I'm Team TWSBI, the mini, Iris 580, and glow green eco have happily been added editions within my collection.
Love your videos and always look forward to the pen podcast, Brian!

This was a great video, Brian. Thanks for explaining the different TWSBI pens. I have a few ECOs, a Swipe and the Rainbow 700R vac. I don’t mind a large pen as I have arthritis and I also prefer capping my pens. I was not aware that some TWSBIs should not be capped. I also like that as you go up in models the nibs are easier to swap out.

My Twsbi Swipe was one of the smoothest writing pens I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I lost it while traveling a few months ago. I will end up getting another Twsbi soon. About the Twsbi pocket clip: yes it’s very stout but if you pull it away from the pen and slide it in your pocket, it’s not going anywhere. It works very well and if you’re like me and bring your pens to work you don’t have to worry about snapping this off the pen like I’ve done with my Muji and Ohto Tasche.

Thank you so much for this video. I have each model except the mini, precision and classic. Their ef and f nibs write so well on all papers, along with pilot metro, are my daily go to pens. Of course the biggest draw is that I don't have to fill the ink all the time. Metro tends to dry out quickly. Now I'm curious about all the inkwells from TWSBI!

This is a great review of TWSBI’s offerings - I have a Swipe and really want to get one of the 580 variants, so this was really helpful in clearly describing their differences. Now I just need to go over to the Nib Nook - my Swipe has an M tip that lays down a FAT line, and I’m thinking about going to an F tip on a 580, but want to make sure the #5 nib tip sizing is comparable. THANKS! (And oh yeah, Turkey Hammock!)

I love my Vac 700R. It is just a joy to write with. I also get a lot of writing done per fill, since the ink capacity is huge, and I'm using a fine nib. Seeing the ink slosh about in the barrel gives it an even cooler factor. I know that vintage pens, such as some Sheaffers and Parkers were vacuum fillers, but I haven't been lucky enough to find a vintage vacuum filler in good condition at a reasonable price. The TWSBI Vac 700R satisfied my need for a vacuum filler in my collection, and it's become a favorite pen that I use daily, along with my Lamy 2000. The Vac 700R is just such a terrific value, and I highly recommend it.

I have an Eco T clear and two Swipes, peach and avocado. They're all fine nib. Of all my pens (12?) the Eco T is the smoothest writing. The Precision looks very industrial in pictures and videos, maybe it looks prettier in person. I now know that the Vac and Vac Mini have threads in the end for secure posting. I call my TWSBI 580 my Energizer Pen because it always works and just keeps going and writes well. Once had several pens in my backpack and it got dropped. of the 4 pens, a couple much more expensive than the TWSBI 580. The other 3 had to have the cap and section cleaned out because of ink leakage. The 580 didn't leak at all. Very impressive. I now have 4 different TWSBI's all from Goulet Pens.

The Twisbi Mini was my first fountain pen, and still my favorite. I was inspired to choose it after a conversation in which a couple of friends brought out their pens for a quick demo. The Mini was the only Twisbi there, and it was also the only one that wrote as soon as the cap was off. Everything else needed a bit of priming or tweaking. I now have two Minis, the green glow Eco, and one of the nearly indestructible Go models, and they all write immediately, every time. I have a few other brands, including some that are more expensive, and nothing is as good as the Twisbis.

Having many FP's, some in the many hundred dollar price range, I always take a TWSBI when traveling. I know I will have a constant writer and no problems. Go TSWBI! And their customer service is superb.

I own two TWSBIs. An Eco and a Go. I was blown away by the Eco and absolutely adore the pen. The Go? Bought that for my wife after she said she was too scared of damaging her Pilot Metro to carry it around every day (go figure).
She loves the Go. It writes well and she carries it everywhere.

Great video Brian. I have been eyeing the mini versions and may have to treat myself to a few for my birthday soon. I would also like to know what is your blue ring made out of? :) 🙂

The youtube rabbit-hole I never expected to dive into. Never had a non-cartridge fountain pen before, and now I have two TWSBI on the way :D

I have always been really intrigued by the Twsbi Micarta but haven't ever got a chance to use one. As far as I know it is the only pen that Twsbi has ever produced with a gold nib (and a clipless version!). I do wonder if they plan on doing a third run anytime soon.

I bought the homosapiens skylight as my edc quickdraw.
    It's super durable material.
You can see if it has ink in it.
    Quick cap operation.
Double resevoire makes it safe for transporting and huge capacity.
It basically ouclasses everything as a quick draw fountain pen for me, but it is of course a bit more expensive.

I have the VAC700 R, its my third fountain pen. I was honestly shocked at how juicy the writing was haha. I definitely cant use it for drawing tho, its too heavy for my poor hands. I still love writing with it and gosh, it takes in so much ink! I'll definitely look into more twsbi models! Specially interested in eco and vac mini!

I was lucky enough to get the Prussian Blue 580 ALR as my introduction to the hobby and I love it so much. I have other pens I use for specific things, but I’m happily using the 580 ALR as my daily driver. It’s absolutely gorgeous looking pen that catches people’s eye, but not so expensive I’m worried to take it with me.

The last half a year I was struggling with Faber Castell Neo Slim.. that pen refused to work at almost every point, after taking of the cap ink was always on the section(I even believed it was supposed to be like this), cap worn out after 2months so it was falling of when posted. I throw it away and bought TWSBI Swipe. It is so amazing pen, I love it, and now I just do not understand, why and for what would someone buy any of FC pen..
Thank you guys for what you do, keep it going!

I have the grand total experience of one Faber-Castell fountain pen,the Loom. It has one of the best steel nibs I've ever used. I use it frequently;always wet and smooth;never dries out.
TWSBI ECO-T,GO,580 AL-R are also some of my favorite pens.

Very helpful Brian! This helps sort out the variety of pens available from TWSBI. Lamy is just as confusing-could you produce a similar video about their pens to help me make a purchasing decision?

I enjoy watching your pen videos, and they always inspire me to buy new pens, which is completely irrational since I already have a few... 😐

Thanks for this. I have a couple of ECO pens and love them. I have a Vac Mini, that I don't like very much... it is no longer filling properly; I've resorted to using ink needles to fill it. I do like the way the Vac Mini writes (it is pretty smooth), but the body has already cracked once, and now the vacuum filler feature just isn't working (thank goodness for fountain pen needles that have extended the use of that pen!)
I'm thinking of maybe trying the Diamond 580
