    I live in AZ and mine completely melted into a gross black goo that stuck to everything. Had to use a paint scraper to get it all off. Your video was hugely helpful and I wanted to say thank you!

    2016 Taco
    After months of looking at deciding to buy a new flip at $1900 + I ran across your video by chance , thank you so much. I bought all the items at my local Toyota dealership and received the parts next day for $325.00 it took about 2 hours to clean the tracks and install
    FYI the ones I removed were melted and very gummy. I determined that running the truck though the car wash helped to break down the weather strips
    Thank you again

They told me the seals are unavailable and wanted to sell me a new tonneau cover for $2000. your information on installation plus the part numbers were appreciated. it’s amazing how little the dealerships know.

      Mine was like that and I sprayed with Raptor Liner bed liner I gave it a little texture and it looks really good. I did it 3 years ago and it stays clean and I don't have to apply anything to it to make it look good. I covered the rubber hinges so they would not get painted since they need to be flexible. I only used less than 1 bottle so as to not apply too much which would make it heavier. I highly recommend it.

    In the case of a 2019 tocoma the back one had 2 pins on each end, suggest you start both ends and work to middle.
    Front pair have 1 pin on each end I got each end started then worked to middle and there were no problems.
    The back one since I started on 1 side and worked accros I needed to do some sugery to get the far end to fit due to the streching as I inserted it.

    • @MVMike62
      @MVMike62  2 роки тому

      Thanks James for the Update on the 2019 / Later model cover. Pins on each end. If you can get it started in the middle that would make total sense. I guess as you go push back a little so your not stretching the seal making it longer.

    • @MVMike62

We’ve had 10” of rain in just this past month and the only slight leakage I notice is from the base seal between the cover and the bed rail but only in a few spots.
