Greatest guitarist that ever walked this earth.
I was at this concert at London's Hammersmith Odeon. Saw Gary many many times and he always gave 110%
R.I.P Gary.
😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
Beautiful a brutal, raw and raspy song , I'm watching this video with my mum and she's very excited, because this song and she danced it with a boy who invited her to dance and this boy is actually my dad, this song is is his it's not a cover from other artist Gary Moore is no longer with us since 2011, excellent voice and fantastic guitar riffs, thanks Rory 👌🎸🍵
Brilliantly done
What a magnificent artist do sorely missed
He graced the earth with raw, refined beauty ❤
Beautiful playing here, probably one of the best lives performances
Gary Moore has boundless admiration for Peter Green, and Gary produced an entire album dedicated to the guitarist ("Blues For Greeny" - 1995), because on the one hand Gary is still composing, and on the other he is also going back to his roots, deciding to cover some of the classics that rocked his youth. Some of the standards are not based on the originals but on covers, such as "Oh Pretty Woman" in the style of Albert KING, or "Too Tired" in the style of Albert COLLINS (both bluesmen are invited to play on the album).
"Still Got The Blues", as it was released in 1990, featured nine tracks, concluded by "Midnight Blues", one of the two tracks recorded on Peter Green's famous Les Paul, which Gary Moore owns. "Still Got The Blues" is the album that changed Gary Moore's life, More Moore!
Thanks !
Where on earth did you get the bit about the promotion of the Still Got The Blues album being cancelled because of Stevie Ray Vaughan's death?
I followed Gary's career since first seeing him at Folkestone in 1969. I do not recall any information that Gary was scheduled to play with Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I'd be very interested to know where you got these two bits information from?
R.I.P Gary. You were the Greatest!
😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
@@stevehanham9266 I read in an article that Stevie Ray Vaughan and Gary Moore were to do a" show" together for the promotion of Still got the blues albu ,maybe it was just one evening... The magazine was French and the other informations were fair and correct...
RIP Gary Moore and eternal respect
@@lepetitoiseau Hi there, Thanks for getting back to me. However, I'm afraid to say that the information you quoted is incorrect.
The Still Got The Blues album was released on March 26th 1990 and the promotional tour began on May 7th 1990. I also have a huge collection of Gary Moore memrobila
amongst which are numerous items of promotional material from Virgin Records at the time of the albums release.
As you know, Stevie Ray Vaughan died on August 27th 1990, so there is no way that his death caused the Still Got The Blues album's promotion to be cancelled!
As far as Gary planning to play with Stevie is concerned, I think that this is pure fantasy (great thought though) and is just 'wishful thinking' on the part of that French magazine.
Anyway, kindest regards to you and let's keep the name and memory of the great Gary Moore alive and kicking. Cheers.

@@stevehanham9266 Thank you for correcting it, my information was bad, probably the journalist's dream of seeing these two play together...
Hi Rory, yes, he was a fantastic guitarrist, singer and interpreter, so much passion.... Goodnight from Italy, bye
An absolute classic. Beautiful song , beautifully played and sung. Takes me back.

Gary Moore broke the Montreaux jazz festival with this performance
This actual performance was at the Hammersmith Odeon in London. I was there!
😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
Drove west to east coast with this in the mix. This is a great road trip album . ☮️
Both gary moore and Rory Gallagher two of the best guitarists i have ever seen never got the recognition the deserved... was it because the came from a small country like Ireland
gary moore is real great guitar master. gary and phill sang "out in the fields"
The year Gary More released this was 1990 on the album by the same name
Joe B. said he used Garys' gameplan.
Live in Montreux
Last live stage performance ❤is awesome before his passing, Parissienne walkways 😅
Rory and Gary were a different breed!!!
Robert William Gary Moore was a Northern Irish musician. Over the course of his career he played in various groups and performed a range of music including blues, blues rock, hard rock, heavy metal and jazz fusion. Wikipedia
Hiya just luv Gary Moore, you need to see the out in the fields with Phil an my fav over the hills an far away. But you need the live videos. ❤
Gary Moore in Stockholm Sweden. Empty Rooms, you must see that too. 1987
just to point out Brian may sounds like Gary Moore respect who stood on who's shoulders,
A true genius. You must watch 'The Messiah will come again ", ASAP. It's a masterpiece.
I fell in Love with the studio version but few years ago I saw live version from Montreux which totalny blew my mind.
@@peaceofiona9198 - Agreed! That's the version I had in mind.
@@AnthonyKellett then check the loner live from sweden thats also out of this world
@@starkmoore2684 - Will do, thanks. I love that track!
@@AnthonyKellett yeah, the wild frontier album is great love that celtic genre mixed with his rock...
Gary was only in Thin Lizzy for a very short time. As was Snowy White and Midge Ure. Gary is incredible at blues, and equally as good at heavy rock too. His voice is amazing, and that gold top he plays is the one he bought off Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac.
Errrr?
Greeny/Moore is not a Gold Top. Sorry to correct you. 😁
😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
In 1990 a German band named Jud’s Gallery sued Mr Moore for plagiarism although there was no recording made and only heard on the radio. The German judge sided with the German band for an undisclosed amount of money.
Parisian Walkways introduced me to Garys sound and style. He was unique. RIP
I know you referenced Gary's sound on this track being reminiscent of Brian May, i personally don't get that, and equally imo Brian May couldn't re-string Gary's guitars never mind play as his equal.
Please watch Gary play seperate ways live, if nothing else you'll see the true master Gary was👍
Money is being raised by fans of Mr.Moore for a statue in Belfast
Playing the legendary Greeny, the late Peter Greens Les Paul
He wasn’t playing Greeny in this video it was his other Les Paul called Stripe
hey rory check out crown lands spit it outt!,another canadian prog band

Clapton say best guitar
player is Gary Moore he's guitar is something special
Gary Moore wrote both the lyrics and composed the song "Still Got the Blues".
Good reaction! Moore did backup vocals with Thin Lizzy. He's very prominent in the song, "Still in Love with You".
